[Resolved]  Aircel — refund of value added service

My mother Smt Madhuri Johri is an Aircel mobile subscriber and her mobile no. is [protected]. On 13th April, 2010 voice chatting service was activated on her mobile number without our knowledge and concern. When a saw the sms, I immediately lodged a complaint against this. Aircel customer care executive took my request giving me complaint no. 1-[protected] and assured that the refund shall be made within 72 hrs. Unfortunately, we could not receive the amount. After 5-6 days I again enquired regarding my complaint and once again they assured me to refund it within 48 hrs. Again I could not receive the refunded amount. After this I enquired several times and every time they assured to refund the amount within 24 hrs. Today on 4th May, 2010 I once again enquired about the refund, one of Aircel customer care executive named Mr. Sushil told me that with the activation of voice chatting service I was rewarded 1200 sec. free Aircel to Aircel talk time and that has been credited into my account and hence, the refund could not be made.
Now I want to ask
1. How can any service provider activate any value added service without subscribers concern and,
2. When I immediately lodge the complaint why they did not de-activated the service.
3. If Aircel has credited free talk time to my mobile under any scheme without my concern, who should bear the cost of same.
I would like to tell that this has happened second time when they activated any value added service to my mobile no. but first time I complained and got the payment in some 15 days time. But this time Aircel people are refusing to give me refund.

Hence, I sincerely request you to take action against the service provider and help me in getting my refund as early as possible.

aircel mobile company — Activation Value Added Services without our knowledge

Dear Sir / Madam
My mobile no. is +91 [protected] of Aircel Mobile Company, this company has activated "Helo Tune" without my knowledge and they have deducted charges from my balance amount. They usualy disturbe me through sending unnecessary SMS & unnecessary mobile call.

Kindly take action against this durty services.

It is quite possible that you must have attended to any promotional calls or messages which has resulted in the activation and these promotional messages are used by all operators to promote services, DND service is the solution to this.
Try and find the nearest Aircel store and talk to them about this. Since they have committed about the refund, they will definitely give it to you .Good luck
