[Resolved]  Aircel — Fake 'Unlimited' Free Local Calls from Aircel

This is Kaushik from Calcutta. I bought a prepaid Aircel sim card bearing number [protected] for my aged mother as she loves to talk to her relatives over phone and charged it with Rs.149 + Rs.246 for a monthlong unlimited free local calls as they have boldly advertised for and it was pretty lucrative an offer. But, I think I have been cheated as till now only 10 to 12 calls could have been made and even those were made after unlimited trials and not a single call lasted for more than 2 minutes as being automatically disconnected. And another funny thing is that although I recharged it for unlimited free local calls but in the very beginning whenever my mother tried to make calls, the automated voice was always advising to refill the account with enough balance as it contains nothing at all although it was not necessary to do it because it was meant for free local calls and even unlimited. Despite that silly advise, I topped up the account with Rs.25 so that my mother could make uninterrupted calls. But in vain; nothing changed the same version continued for some days and after that started another problem.. which now says that the line I have called is temporarily congested and this temporary thing is continuing since 17th May 2009 and even if a call can be made after seamless tiring effort, that would not last beyond 2 minutes even. And everytime I have called the customer care, Re.1 has been deducted from that topped up account and from Rs.25 it has gone down to Rs.17. Luckily I could make two complaints from my phone and another one from my sellers number and they promised to resolve the problem pretty soon and funny thing is that after a long wait, I called the customer care again recently and they fell from the sky when I told that I have lodged complaints earlier because they don't know anything about such complaints from my side and sent me an SMS containing this very number BILL789018 promising to addressed shortly. I think I have been cheated and several such customers are suffering such nasty service and living in a dilemma. Amusingly the customer care not at all cares for the paying customers who paid money to buy such nasty service and hopes the customers will bear with them and pay again Rs.246 for another month's fake unlimited local calls. This company has failed to keep its promise as it has done in its advertisements. Now I repent why I bought this worthless service and pondering on whether I should go to Consumer Court or not!! Please Suggest and Guide.. Thanking you in anticipation.
