Dear Sir I have applied for mobile number portability from Aircel to Airtel on 2nd August 2011, but till now (23rd August) I haven't got any response from Airtel. After calling up the Airtel customer care many times, the response was that the request is under process. I request you to kindly initiate an action to complete the process. AirTel — haven't processed submitted identity documents
I had purchased Airtel sim card 2 years back from a genuine Airtel outlet located at Kadri , Shivabagh, Mangalore. On the 4 Sep 2010, I received a call requesting me to resubmit my identity proof and a passport photo which I should stress was submitted at the time of purchase of the sim card. The reason behind this call was that a person by name of Theresa has been registered using my sim card. First off I cannot understand how can Airtel make such a error. It is beyond shock and complete carelessness on the part of the manager at the Airtel outlet in Kadri , Shivabagh. Anyhow , I went to the nearest store that being the Airtel outlet in Saibeen Complex , Lalbagh. This was on the 4th Sep 2010. I submitted required documents upon which a receipt was given to me. I hereby quote the APEF no : 20047469. Now I was assured the matter will be taken care of. Instead I have continued to receive calls and smses requesting me to resubmit. I assured the concerned person that I have submitted and have proof. I was then told it will be updated in their systems. This has never happened as I still continue to recieve smses. I ask you is this what you call speedy action to cover up a huge error created and prolonged by Airtel. Please do take up the matter and resolve ASAP.Andrea Nazareth

I have an Aircel postpaid no.[protected] (SIM no.[protected]) was taken in palani on same day, which worked up to change the Mobile Number Portability Airtel no.[protected] (SIM no.[protected][protected] O’clock. my mobile. Then I approached customer relation centre (R P Telecom) at Old Dharapuram Road, Palani - 624 601 on07/02/2011 around 10AM, where I have submitted my documents initially and explained the issue to Mr. Mani (mobile no.[protected]), They have verified their dispatch list and found that they have submitted my documents to Main office

Airtel — change of mob no by using portability.
respected sir,With due respected i a customer of Airtel cellular company pvt ltd , having mob no:-[protected](Name:-Manas kumar sahu),beg to state that i applied to change my cellular comp. Airtel to Vodafone through mobile portability.But the Airtel company rajected my proposal without intementing me.They are totally not responding for this purpose.I have send them massage several times but they are doing the same and they deducted my balance from my account.So please help me in this matter and i want to change the Airtel comp at any cost,I my to change it into Vodafone comp.So kindly help me as soon as possible.

.i have aircel number [protected] past 4months(date:21.2.2012). when i buy the aircel number i submit all the documents to the dealer. but now my number was not work why this is happend it is suffering me. it is not a good customer relationship from aircel. in this kind of attitude was breaking the relation from aircel to customers... aircel is one of the leadig network in tamilnadu...plz the aircel customer support officer to clear that type o[censored]nwanted problems...it is really breaking the relationship from aircel and customer you are loosing num ber of customers
Do this from your Aircel SIM
1. Send a message as PORT <space> to 1900 [Toll Free].
Eg: PORT [protected] and send this message to 1900.
2. You will receive a UPC Code in message. Note it down.
3. Now goto the nearest Customer service center (or Retailers) of Network you want to shift. (for ex, if you are shifting from X toY network, Goto Y’s Customer Center).
4. Fill the Form and pay Rs. 19. In the form You have to mention UPC Code ( From Step 2). Submit your Photo & Address Proof.
5. The customer center will give a new Empty sim.
6. With in 24 Hrs you will receive an Acceptance Message to Confirm the Porting (for your old sim). Then You have to Agree with that by replying to the Message.
7. In the next 24 hrs you will get a another mssg (for your old sim) to select a 2hrs time slot.
In this time your number will not work because the porting process will be done at this time. So give a 2hrs time which is convinient for you.
8. After this 2hrs the new sim (From Step 5) will work.
9. Insert the new sim in your phone, Now You are in the new network with old number.
