This is to bring in the information that I make daily calls to phillipines with my mb no [protected] which comes under south east Asia country, before buying the card I had enquired with the customer care depptt and I was told that phillipines comes under south east Asia country and under band 2..it means normally the call rates which are Rs.9/19 drops down to Rs.3/99 per min...After confirming with Airtel I bought that card on 23 december 2008 and after proper activation made my first call..I was shocked to see that I was being charged Rs.8/50 per min as compared to Rs.3/99..I wish to draw your kind attention that even on website of Airtel its clearly mentioned that south east Asia counties is in their list..when i approached the appellate authroity first I was told by some Ms.Seema Malik that phillipines does not come in south east Asia country ..when I proved to her that it does comes in it then she sent me a mail on 05/1/2009 that phillipines does not come under their corridor ..what a joke ??they are writing in their website i[censored] call customer care its been mentioned over there also the countries name..I fail to understand why i was deprived of this services..I would like to Airtel top notch officers to look into this issue on top priority basis and tell me the truth...if phillipines does not come in their band 2 then why everywhere its mentioned on their website...vivek rawat

Airtel — ISD card activation

On 3rd June 2008 I recharged by mobile with Rs. 225 ISD calling card. Air-Tel people told they will activate it within 48 hrs. Its already 65 hrs gone they are repeatedly telling we will activate it soon without taking any necessary action. I need to talk my husband . Is they have customer care service or they are there to harass customer I don't know.

Thanks for your reply. I think you have not done proper investigation, as I am very much sure that calls are not made from my mobile, As I donot have any relation in foreign. In the bill dated 07/12/08. An amoout of Rs. 101 was charged towards ISD Calls. I complained to your customer care. It was told at that time it could be system mistake and promised by your executive to reverse the same in our next bill. But nothing happened. More our my credit limit set by you is INR 3200.00. Then how my bill amt can go beyond that as i was billed more than INR 10000. I am finally requesting you to reverse all the amount of ISD Calls to enable me to pay your bill & use your services. As I am a regular customer of Airtel.

    My airtel demo card No is [protected]. Airtel demo card requires you to make a transaction of Rs.3000/- per month in order to avail the services or demo no.
    Last month i have completed the transaction which is above Rs. 3000/- and still because the details of the transactions are not updated on the airtel customer care system my demo card is converted to a normal card leaving me with no demo card free service till 10th of march.
    Upon enquiry and lodging my complaint with the customer care engineers who just keep on giving us advices without listening to our complaints the answers to my grievance which was a repeated one "that our system shows us only this details". Very sad service and a really absurd and disrespectful staff/engineers Airtel has employed to hear the customers grievance.

    I am also using a Vodafone demo card which is providing 100% better services then Airtel and also the network is better then airtel.
    Airtel can only spend on advertising its product by signing big actors and actresses in order to sell its product rather then giving prompt attention to the complaints and employing polite engineers at the customer care section.

    Airtel company and its employees should be ashamed for providing such a poor service in India which is highly competative country.

      i have regularly received the message that your airtel friendz chat services has been activate and you have been charged 10 Rs for 10 days. whenever i did not subscribe any service like it . i lodged the complaint so many times by calling 121 and they ensure me that we return your Rs.10 in few hours but i did not get my balance plus in my balance. i contacted u on dated 6.02.09.

      I have been regularly received messages that your airtel friendz chat services has been activate and you have been charged 30 Rs.I did not subscribe any service like it . i lodged the complaint so many times by calling 121.I also spoke with your local people a couple of times but in vain.
      Please deactivate this service asap. These messages are a great nuisance.

        I REGRET TO INFORM YOU ABOUT THE FRAUD THAT IS BEING TAKING PLACE TO THE CUSTOMERS BY YOUR FRANCHISES.I WAS CALLED AND INFORMED ABOUT THE NEW SCHEME OF ZERO RENTAL, 800 CALL FREE AND 800 SMS FREE.I PAID THE AMOUNT OF RS.600 FOR WHICH I RECEIVED A PAYMENT SLIP ON 24TH OF JAN 09.TILL 4TH OF FEB 09 I WAS NOT PROVIDED BY THE SIM.WHEN I WENT TO YOUR GALARY ON 4TH FEB 09 THEY GAVE ME A DUPLICATE SIM I GOT THE INFORMATION THAT THE RENTALS ARE NOT FREE I WILL BE CHARGED 400RS AS A RENTAL.I HAVE THE DOCUMENT FROM YOUR SIDE IN WHICH THEY HAD CANCELLED OFF THE RENTAL.IS AIRTEL NOT RESONSIBLE FOR THE FRAUD DONE BY THE FRANCISED?         Wrong billing by airtel for downloading of game without our consent and billing wrongly for Rs. 893/- excess in April 2009

        I received by Mobile bill in April 2009 and shocked after saw that there was wrong billing of 893.00 for 11 SMS. I contact so many times for customer care but no satisfactory response received. On e-mail sent to them they have informed for charges of 893.00 for downloading of games. On 9/4/09 I saw my mobile with 3 nos of new games and subsequently received a SMS from airtel stating that we have loaded the games in your mobile. Immediately I contacted airtel customer care where they have informed me that the games are chargable for Rupees 99/-

        On equiry from My Seniors we found that they have also similar type of wrong billing for which we have disconnect our two connection of airtel.

        Earler I was a prepaid airtel customer and switch over for post paid connection.

        On this we observed this similar type of cheating by the company for all the customers of the country.

        We request company to wave off the same.

          Hi there,
          This regarding our Mobile Connection # [protected] the bill no[protected] dt 9th Jan., 09, the payment has been made by us wide cheque no 10005584 dt. 17/01/2009 drawn at The Fedral Bank, Gurgaon and as per our bank statement the cheque has been cleared on 21/01/2009 to Air tel. The amount is not credited to our mob.connection account. We have already submitted the request to Air tel Costumer Care and attaching the bank statement copy with this mail.

          Last week also we have sent a mail regarding mob. # [protected] due to same payment problem, but still the account is not stalled.
          We have also 3-4 more connections of Air tel but would like to inform you that it was a very bad experience with air tel in the past. Now hopping that it will be a good time with Air tel.

          Kindly look in to the matter and do the needful.

            I have informed customer care of airtel postpaid connection to deactivate my airtel no [protected] and i also received a call from yr airtel personnel asking for reasons of deactivation.But i have come to know that the same has not been updated in the system which is not my concern.I just spoke again to customer care and he asked me to write email to [protected]@airtelindia.com and intimate the same.I will pay my outstanding dues after deducting the advance of Rs.500 that i had given at time of taking this no.I am sorry to inform but airtel has been very inefficient and i had bad time during usage of this no.Hence i had to shift to other service provider.

            Airtel Post Paid — de active my connection

            This is Muneendran from PUNE. I want to de active my mobile ([protected]). Beacause of i was working from chennai. I don't want to continue this service so requested please de active my mobile connection as soon as possible and one more thing cusomer service centres are not responding properly..

            I got a call from retention team also and i told them to deactivate the service.
            They said it will be done.
            I threw the sim assuming that the service is deactivated.
            No I am getting call from this number and the amount is getting
            deducted from my balance.
            I want to deactivate the service as soon as possible.
            Also there was no call logged fr my request a big mistake done by Airtel.
            Is there any ways by which I can use my old number in Tamil Nadu that I bought in Bangalore.. As its a post paid connection I cannot afford to pay the extra sum when I have moved from Bangalore to Chennai..

            Airtel — Postpaid Activation/Deactivation

            hi,
            i got airtel post paid connection last week. after submitting all the revent documents/ refrences, Address, co ID details, they activated my GSM with No:[protected] under corporate connection Scheme as i work with Mahindra & Mahindra.
            all of sudden my out going services gets bard as on 20.07.2011 evening,
            i kept on trying customer call center for long time, once i got through they came up with excuse that its been bard due to un avability of relevant docs.
            this is really frustrating that after allotment of number and activation of services why this kind of treatment is offered to customers.i have to be on tour most of the time to remote location and connectivity is very important. and how come any company process connection on inapropriate docs if any.
            secondly on requesting for what documents are missing the call center executives don’t have anything to explain.
            it appears as if you are in front of dumb box who has nothing concrete to offer you...they will only prove to be irratating rather then assisting in real terms to there customers.
            this is really sad at part of company like AIRTEL.
            My mobile no is - [protected] on that i have taken a add on connection number no - [protected].
            i am not intrested to use this add on connection number - [protected]. So i am requesting you to please deactivate this no - [protected].
            I have already informed to customer care of airtel postpaid connection.

              Past 20 days I am using Airtel Prepaid connection.Which is an Out of Chennai Number.Every ten minutes It display Simcard Update Started at the time No Network coverage.So I doesn't contact other after 5 or 10 minutes I got network coverage.After that same problem arise that is simcard update started.What i am doing to overcome this problem.If any one know the reason tell me.I am using Nokia 1600.

              I also face the same problem with AIRTEL sim from jharkhand when on roaming in mumbai... It is very frustrating when after you finally manage to get a working network.. the "sim card update" starts and the network goes away... so one is basically handicapped to not make calls even with full balance... if anyone has found any solution / workaround for this annoying problem.. please respond

                  i am really frusteted against the airtel which is the one of the useless service provider, since last two years i am complainting the network problem on my no.[protected] but till date not solved the problems, i got more than 150 reference numbers of my complaint and mails to nodal officers, but its useless to do so.my card is 7 years old so cant close the number, if somebody is listning or reading plz advice or do something on my issue.

                  I am hereby attaching the few mails which i had sent to the company.

                    Dear Sir,

                    We purchased 2 Leased Lines in the month of Dec 2008 from you. We have been facing speed issues with our 512 kbps (1:2) Leased line connection for the past 45 days or so. After repeated complaints finally our representative visited on Feb 04, 2009 with a technician. After investigation it was said that the problem was due to missing bandwith setting in the router and it has been rectified. It was also told that the router will be replaced on Feb 05, 2009.

                    This is to inform you that the router was not replaced as promised and we continue to face the following issues with the leased line:

                    a) Very low speed of connectivity. As low as 40-50 kbps
                    c) Heavy fluctuations and very frequent glitches in the speed
                    d) Intermittent abnormal behaviour with low download speed and very high upload speeds

                    We are extremely disappointed with the way Airtel is handling the issue. Firstly it has taken your company 45 days to respond to the complaint. Despite that the problem remains unresolved. Since our entire business model is dependent on internet we are suffering heavy financial losses because of this persistent connectivity issue and the inordinate delay in resolving it. In fact the whole purpose of investing in a Leased Line appears defeated. Our earlier DSL connection was giving us much better and stable performance than the Leased Line.

                    You may let us know if you lack the expertise to resolve the problem. The various departments of Airtel involved are simply playing the blame game and passing the buck to each other which ultimately is no good for us and the problem remains where it was nearly one and a half months ago. This is considered a highly unprofessional way of handling customer complaints and is definitely unbecoming of an organization like Airtel.

                    This is our final request to you for resolving the issue before Feb 09, 2009. If you are unable to do so then please refund the advance payment and disconnect your Leased Line. We will go for some other solution with another vendor.

                    Looking forward to a prompt response from your end.

                    I disagree with Mr. Vinay as there is no use complaining even to nodal officer or the appellant authority. These guys will henceforth bully you for your payments which are not due and will never give you credit for hours where the lines were disconnected. Also, for international gateways your speed will be 50% lower to the speed you have registered. I am a sufferer of their poor service, delayed installation, undue billing dates, being bullied unncessarily by their collection department and delayed response from hopeless nodal officers.

                    We Caxita Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Cochin ordered a leased line of 1MBps(1:1) on 28-July-2011. As part of the process, we handed over a cheque No. 045440 dated 29-Jul-2011 for an amount of INR.7353 favouring M/s Airtel to Mr. Sarath Kumar, B2B-data sales, SL avenue, NH Byepass road, Kundanoor Jn, Maradu P.O, Cochin.

                    After that, since you haven't satisfied the clearly mentioned conditions o[censored]s, we canceled the product before further proceedings or installation on 11-Aug-2010. But the cheque or the amount has not been returned to us till now. On communicating with Mr. Sarath, he is simply lagging the matter for the last 3 months. Its more than 3 months, we are running behind you people to get the cheque back.

                    We really valued our association with Airtel in many channels, but now we are totally disappointed & dissatisfied with the response from concerned person at Airtel. Since we are interested in a long term relationship with Airtel, We request you to make arrangements to return the cheque as early as possible.

                      There was a call from airtel requesting that if your phone number has been selected for Hello Tunes, I clearly told the calling guy I don't want Hello Tune to be activated Instead I asked him to look in to the date of expiry of the connection because when I took the connection, it's lifetime free and expiry date was 2021 and now it is showing 2011. He said I will look in to it and get back to you. To my surprise, today I received 2 message saying your Hello Tune has been activated and they deducted Rs. 30 towards activation and Rs. 15 towards song. They set the song of their choice. Immediately after receipt of SMS I called customer care, they told me they can not reverse the deducted amount. THIS IS TOTALLY A CHEATING...

                      I told the customer care since you have deducted charges for a month, continue the Hello Tune for 1 month and then automatically stop. she said I did the setting in system so it will automatically stop after 1 month and not a single paisa will be deducted from the balance.

                      Hope Airtel will keep their promise.

                                Dear Team,
                                I am Postpaid Customer with AIRTEL Mobility since 28th Oct, 2007 and inspite i have already registered for DND on 31st Oct, 2008 i am getting Promo SMSs on daily basis since 16th Jan.2009.
                                The height was then when from 16th Jan, 2009 i started receiving SMS from 543210 (SANTA BANTA JOKES).Team i want to bring your concern that inspite i have not registered for SANTA & BANTA JOKES then also i am receiving on daily basis from 16th Jan, 09 onwards.
                                I called 121 and tried to share my problem, but then even they were not able to help because from SYSTEM this service of SMS is not activated, so even they were helpless.
                                So finally on 20th Jan, 09 i talked to Ms.Prachi at 1500 hours and i was told that she will escalate the issue to Technical Team and within 24 hours this service will be stopped but then again on 21st Jan, 09 i received the SMS.Then finally i talked to Retention Dept (Mr.Nihar Ranjan Das);he said that it might be possible that my SIM Card might have some problem so he guided me to visit nearest ARC so that my problem can be resolve;so i visited ARC Kalyani Nagar (Pune) on 21st Jan, 09 at 1630 hours and met Centre Manager Mr.Amol ( [protected] ) but then he tried his level best but then he couldn't stop this SMS.
                                One more thing i would quote abt Mr.Amol that he was very cooperative and personally was in touch with me;informing abt the improvement.

                                Hi, mine is exactly similar problem. They are sending me cricket updates from 543210 & have not disconnected the service. Its been more than 2 months now.
                                I'm planning to disconnect airtel service. I've noticed that over the years airtel is increasing business through unwanted Spam.
                                It's better to switch to Vodafone.

                                I am sending this complaint for over charges for value added services right now airtel is very popular brand in our country but in actul sence they are just making the fool to the customer.                                   i am using airtel postpaid CUG connection. this month (jan) onword airtel communication company send me unused calls bill that was not correct.due to my transfer i want to disconnect my cell no [protected].when my executive went in airtel office to pay whole bill amt, then they said to pay 1245/-rs actually amt was 671/rs plus 324/rs-that was not correct amt even last month comp send me 260/rs for due date 08/01/09 and i deposited it on 03. 01.2009 is in advance.

                                  kindly reduce my bill amt otherwise i will go in media along with consumer cour either revert me as soon as upon my cell no [protected]

                                  airtel company has a large scale company but very poor to take unused calls bill.Nov 2005 to till date i am using your prepaid connection i did never face any problems at chandigarh but at shimla i did face main and major problem in postpaid connection o[censored]nused bill that is so so major.

                                    sir,
                                    As iam a long time customer of airtel prepaid, As i lost my sim card {[protected]} on 23/01/09 as i was not well i could not inform for cancelling or blocking of my sim to airtel but i made a point to visit on 29/01/09 i approched airtel out let in RT nagar which is situated in Girija complex.

                                    Thy issued me a duplicate sim for the same number also iasked them to migrate my prepaid connection to postpaid which they did and i took the a plan {AES 248} they assured me of getting connected with in 48working hrs also i paid them cash of Rs 300 in cash & also i gave all they address & ID proof copys to them.

                                    Then on saturday the 31/01/09 i visited the out let in RT nagar again to tell them that its not been activated till the day as i visited them in the evening around 6pm or after 6pm as i dont remember the time but i got very rude answers from one of the fat female executive like {you should wait till its processed or you can live } which i felt very insulting and she aked to wait till monday 9th feb 09 or tuesday 10th feb09 it will get activated.

                                    But when i went again on 11th feb 09 evening at around 7:30pm they made me sit &then made to wait till 8:15 pm after waiting such long time they asked that they will activate on 12th feb 09 as they have already sent to some back hand people when told my urgency to recieve &make calls they have no little concerned of it as it was late for those girls i asked them that let me give you time till tommarow as you are girls and need to be home so i let cursing airtel for the problems they put me in .

                                    Sir when i called them today one of the girl who was very help full all the time from that out let itself her name is FARHA when i called her & asked about my connection she asked that senior fat female executive and told me that it is in process and it will take another 2 or 3days to activate that is on 14th february 09 which is not tolerable at this time o[censored]rgency.

                                    Sir can you please look in to my problem coz i dont thing they are understanding my urgency of connection immediately sir this is my first time iam complaining to you hope you will help me in this kind of situation coz iam not avilable when my boss in UK or any of my family members are not able to contact me in emergency.

                                    Sir i dont want any harsh action on the executive as they are not properly trained to attained the customers complaints airtel should provide with that .

                                      i am the holder of connection from airtel mobile number [protected] and i being being charged rs.10/- per day for the services which i never got activated. i daily receive a message from the company like this "thanks for using (subscription, textbased services)subscription service on Airtel WAP. you'hve been charged Rs.10/-.Enter Fun Zone http://igmobi.com
                                      I have five time lodged a complaint on the airtel service number 121 and they assured me that this will be got deactivated within24 hours . but nothing has been done so far. there are number of customer like this being exploited daily. please help us into the matter, thanks
