Airtel Digital TV (Hd) — Deficiency in service

This is Susindran, with Airtel digital TV ID [protected]. I have been trying to speak to the customer care representative from yesterday itself. It took an hour to get connected and of the four times, three times, it was abruptly disconnected, put on hold, put on irritating music. Adding to the irritation is the IvRS procedure every time we have to go through till we are connected and finally disconnected.

There was a message appearing in my TV that for every recharge of Rs.310/- a discount of Rs.15/- will be given. I made recharge of Rs.1500/- yesterday, my recharge date being 8.12.2011 . I was told that I am not eligible for any discount. Without further disclosing the details, the call was disconnected by 11.57 am. The CC executives read out the script or soft copy and never bother about the customer's anxiety. Otherwise they inconclusively cut the call.

I propose to issue a legal notice on the deficiency of service against Airtel holding them responsible for the costs and consequences besides mental agony if there is no proper response is given. I am also trying to make a press publication about the irresponsible behaviour of Airtel towards their customers, who actually pay in advance and use their services.
