I am using Airtel services for 3 years and eventually, to my misery, made it a primary number.
Hope the concerned is aware about the importance of a primary number for business relations and work.
Recently, I had to keep my number in safe custody, due to some travel plans.
After my return, when I am trying activate the number again, its 12 days and all my efforts are in vain.
I had been following up with local representative centre everyday more than once on phone and even personal visits.
It was a very pathetic experience, with representatives misguiding by saying, it’s activated and retry. After 7 days of request, 0n 6th September, your representatives are mentioning about some irregularity in your system and to rectify it, you need time.
Still on 10th September, there is no results and my work is getting affected badly, with inability to receive my important business call.
The ultimate solution could be to move out of Airtel services, but then what’s the use of paying Rs. 300 for safe custody.
If any recipient, understands the criticality of situation, then expect actions ASAP both for my case as well your system.

It has got more than Rs 500 balance when I was gone abroad in march 2009 and I didn't use it for about 2 months and after coming back in june 2009 when I used it ... it says unregistered sim. I spoke to airtel customer service they said go to airtel showroom. When I went to airtel showroom they said this no. was not in use thats why it has been recycled.
I said why didn't you send me any notification about this and moreover it has got balance in it, how you can recycle it and they simply said we can't do anything about it. I said I will pay your fees to reactivate it becuase this no. is very important to me. but they said in a very rude manner we have told you that this no. is now for resale.
Then I said I will sue you becuase this is just a fraud Airtel is cheating the customers. They are stealing their money and customer service is also so rude.
