[Resolved]  Amba Bajaj - Hsr Layout — Charging Customer for the work not done & Bad Service

I am Santosh and I had given my Bajaj Discover for a general service on 22nd Sunday, 2009 to Amba Bajaj in HSR Layout. I had a small issue with the noise in back wheel which I had notified to them. Mr. Ramachandra supposed to be some senior or supervisor took the bike and gave the job card asked me to come back by afternoon.

I went there found the bike was still in the process of getting serviced, I thought let me not pressurize them to make it fast as I suspected it might bring down the quality of service, so decided to wait till they are done. I was surprised to see them taking the bike for wash after the service, this was the first time I saw somebody taking the bike for wash after the service. (What will happen to all grease or oil servicing thats been done if its washed under pressure after service).

I pointed it out then and there and left once servicing was done. I was supposed to go to Mysore by bike on sunday. I was in Banashankari near Deve gowda petrol bunk (About 20 KMs from HSR Layout) all of a sudden there was a huge noise in the chain case and was just unbearable to continue.

Luckily I found a service center nearby, where I pushed my bike and was surprised to see when the chain case was opened it was totally damaged and this was because improper allignment of case and above that what SURPRISED ME MOST WAS, THE CHAIN WAS NEVER CLEANED FOR WHICH I WAS CHARGED, could find the stain of burnt oil and not the fresh grease or oil.

I was taken aback as I never expected this from a Authorised Bajaj Service center, because of people like this Bajaj will get a bad ...sorry...worst name. Anyways I got it repaired and didnt have confidence of continuing my journey to Mysore as a result of this quality service provided by Amba Bajaj.

I went back to them on Monday and informed them about the issue, the owner calls Ramachandra and asks what had happened and asks him to do some Oiling and pay back the money of 50 Rupees Ha ha ha...wherein I had paid 570 for the serivice and another 150 bucks to set right the chain case.

I would suggest a couple of things to Amba Bajaj,

1. Please dont be under an impression that you can fool customers because some customers are using Bikes for many years probably even before you started this cheating business.
2. Please keep in mind that you are representing Bajaj and if not for you please care for them.


One important suggestion to Bajaj. Please do some quality checks on service centers to check if they are screwing your name.

Guys i am so done with this amba bajaj.i have tried various branches of amba all are looting.i find popular bajaj in bannurgeta and turning point in bommanahalli be better to try.
Totally agree. The point is not just this Amba Bajaj, any service center of Bajaj is unreliable. All of them are imcompetent. I have been to Popular on Bannerghatta road he is equally useless.
This service center is no good. Service was pathetic. I had given my bike a couple of times for service, and none of my problems were rectified. Also they charge but do not do some of the things that we are charged for. Bajaj should make a note of this and address this issue as most of the service centers are like this.

The supervisors also do not know how to treat a customer.They talk as if they own bajaj.Really pathetic.
I completely agree with you. i have never faced such bad service in my life. The person ramachandra who is incharge of the center doesnt have the basic decency to talk to the customer. For everything he wants to replace the part rather than repair it. Then there is issue with regards to delivery time. iwas promised that bike will be delivered in 2nd evening. even a call came telling me that the i gave to pay a couple of thousand and i can collect the bike. i went there to collect my bike on 3rd morning. The bike was not ready and i was asked to come on 4th morning. Mr ramachandra even didnt bothered to talk to me. i had to run behing him to get this attention. Amba bajaj service center at HSR layout is the worst service experience one can imagine.
This is so true.I gave my servicing 2-3 times to Amba bajaj and service hept getting worse...In one service some oils started leaking and tape started buring and there was smoke from my Bike all the time...Next Time My Fuel Meter stopped working and third time they gave me bike w/o a wash...Horrible service...It is so disheartening to see so bad service for so Good Bajaj Bikes...
I totally agree with this...I think Amba Bajaj(in BTM layout) is the biggest demon of all. Even if it's a normal paid service, u'll end up paying atleast Rs. 900/-!!!
i have a terrible experience with the popular bajaj in bennargatta who even doesn't know the meaning of service and they always charge high for no reason and always they will sustain the problem in the bike ..
look and feel of bajaj are only gud but the quality in the service is so worst have ever seen
people will not just like that adjust and Bajaj as a market leader should retain in the same way in market means the service centers like popular bajaj has to be taken care since they dont do servicing only they earn money
From my point of view Bajaj as a company should start looking towards these kind of issues. I personally had very bad experience with the kind of service provided by AMBA Bajaj service centers (Both HSR layout and Garvebhavi Palya). Simply speaking the guys at both place crib about the services provided by other one. But both actually are on the same line of providing worst services and talking as if they are the best.

I own Bajaj Pulsar 135cc LS bike. After i purchased my bike, it produced a defect which they said come only one in thousand bike, a screw fitted near engine was of small size and caused oil leakage. I gave it for repair and for the surprise of all the readers it took more than 10 days to get repaired at AMBA BAJA Garvebhavi Palya Service Center and i need not to explain the things i went through to get it done in time.

It did not end here, after a month i gave my bike for washing and lubrication at AMBA BAJAJ HSR Servicing center . I thought they might have done well this time as not much of the technicalities involved doing this task. But monsters damaged auto choke of the bike (to the readers who are not aware, i want to tell that you cant ride the bike if this happens, bike's engine produce very high RPM). These guys were not ready to listen me at all. Then i contacted Bajaj Cutomer Care and raised my concerned with marketing cell. To my surprise, i started getting calls from AMBA service centers and they REQUESTING me to bring the bike to service center. Okey somehow i got my bike well n running next evening.

I had small small issues even after this, but manageable. BUT I WANT TO REQUEST ALL THE READERS TO RAISE YOUR VOICE TO BAJAJ DIRECTLY AND NOT JUST KEEP TALKING HERE AND THERE. OUR COMPLAINTS SHOULD BE HEARD BY RIGHT PERSON, ONLY THEN THESE VOWS WILL END. IF NOT END THEN AT LEAST WILL REDUCE.

AFTER ALL FOR BAJAJ ITS ABOUT MAINTAINING THERE BRAND VALUE

I faced lot of problems like this...ITS VERY VERY VERY BAD SERVICE OF AMBA BAJAJ. Did nothing and charged lot of money...
I had very bad experiance w.r.t Jerking in Bajaj Service center located @ Indiranagar after flower. They took 6K I got the same problem after 2 days they said coil has gone they took 1k after 10 Days I got the same problem. I escluated it to senior person who is manager over there.
He is one waster didnt understand what I was saying Finally I decided to [censored] them all and I nerver give serving there.

Dear Friends,

Even i had same experience today . i gave my bike for front fork servicing they charged me 1200Rs. Finally my problem was not rectified . when i asked service advisor after my trail round he told it will be k after some time, but it was not the case..

Important next day my bike didnt start with self start button when i checked for the reasons then i realized they changed my self starter motor and replaced with one old one . and even they changed my front disc brake pad and replaced with old one.. relly by seeing this i got shocked.

Please dont go to AMBA BAJAJ... real cheaters...
Don't Go for "AMBA BAJAJ - BOMMENAHALLI"

Recently I bought a bajaj discover 100T. They told that some accessories would be provided as free of cost. Once I paid the full amount, they were telling that accessories were out of stock. It was more than a month, Still the manager "RAKESH" was saying the same.

The Worst part was that they got rs 350 for me in addition with ONROAD PRICE


Don't try to cheat the customers like this...You could not run the business for long by doing like this...I really don't know how these guys became AUTHORISED BAJAJ DEALER

Am surprised to see the place of vehicle service, There is no enough place inside to maneuver the vehicles without hitting each other.

Even water wash area looks like small rest room and I don't know how they are managing to wash the vehicle inside this room.

Further they will charge 150 bucks towards polishing without our concurrence and am surprised to see he polished within a minute my bike with applying some useless liquid.

yes amba baja is just looting up.they din change any of the parts in my bike but charged me.i got to know this as my bike had no change after the service.next time i when to another service centre called TURNING POINT BAJAJ SERVICE in bommanahalli they were excellent.prices very low.GOOD service quality washing also was done very good.and they also deliver the bike home after repairs.try that place out.

I agrre Amba baja is just looting.ok let them take money bt should do their job properly atleast.anyways I found a reliable place its called TURNINGPOINT BAJAJ SERVICE in bommanahalli .they are onli serivce dealers so not like showroom people who just are interested in just selling bikes.i recommend to visit tht place once.and good thing is..I have 2 bikes..I have a 220f and my wife has a dio..I requested they weather they could service dio also as I liked they service.they accepted n the job was brilliant and delivered it to my house which is the best part.
Hello friends

I tried TURNING POINT service center after reading many good reviews on various places, but actually they are equally bad.
I gave them my bike for service and found break shoe, chain case totally damaged.
Battery performance was considerably down. On reporting the issues owner will fight back using abusive language.

In case you try this, you should be physically be present all the time or you would also face the tough time like I have experienced.

Hey guys I tried this pace its was not a bad experience.service.cost ws 385 inclusive of tax.i ll update the review by the next service.lets c weather they maintain the same service quality.

For Amba Bajaj: Worst experience... super expensive. Just have a look on attached bill. Their labour charge is 1, 506 for general servicing. whereas spare parts charge come 1106/- ... they cost me for 2613 for general servicing.

I still don't get for what they people charged me 500/- labour, because after that also for everything they charged separately.

They behave nicely but
Worst part they played trick with my bike(Avenger 220). They left my clutch little tight after servicing. Effect of that my clutch plate is gone within 500 km ride after servicing. For me, it took a time to figure out this. Now my bike pickup is completely gone. Clutch Plate changing will cost 3000+ and indeed they will open engine for that.

This clutch plate work is still pending, and I don't to become fool again with Amba Bajaj. Here anyone please share me a good servicing place for Bajaj avenger.

Hey try to get a estimation frm turningpoint its more resonable and work is done good .25737007 their number.they ll give u a rough estimate as per my experience.

u can try out popular keveraj motors its better than amba bajaj or turningpoint is also a good place
