I am very disappointed with the callous services from American Express overall.
I signed up for American Express platinum cards in Feb 2010 and paid Rs 5000 for the annual fee, however within few months all my 3 credit cards - primary, secondary and dependent were compromised and fradulent transactions took place. On hearing this i complained to Amex, my cards were cancelled and new cards reissued. so far Amex has not got back to me about details of how ALL my cards could be compromized. I can understand one but not three.
Now, Amex reissued my card and has slapped a new Annual fee. Though at the time of my complaint it was told to me that all charges will be reversed and my rights including my rewward point will be restored to make sure I wouldnt suffer. None of this happened.
Amex is now claiming that i need to pay a full 1 year renewal fee again to make sure I get back my reward points.
This is completely dirty tricks by Amex.
Did you know that the Customer Grievance Email addresses dont work and you cannot write to anybody at Amex.
