i had bought an airtel FRIENDS PACK simcard last year in july and got a recharge for 1 year validity. this year in july the validity was supposed to end
for the past 3 months i was receiving a message from airtel which said "your card validity is about to end and so get a lifetime validity recharge just for rs. 45. you also get 40 rs of balance in your account"
so i got the recharge done last month folllowing which they just deactivated the facility of my friends pack call rates and started applying the lifetime card call rates. however in the message they had never ever mentioned that the card will be changed to a lifetime card and my friends pack will be deactivated.

now on asking them to change it back to friends pack, they first argue and then say that ok, it will be activated in a day or two.
then again it is not changed.
they say that u have to get some other recharge for validity on friends pack. however they had never messaged me regarding that recharge. the only message i used to get was about the lifetime VALIDITY recharge, it was not mentioned anywhere that that particular recharge would change my simcard to lifetime and my friends pack will be deactivated:a facility for which there is no recharge as such but u have to buy a newsimcard to avail this facility. if they make me buy a simcard for availing a particular facility, how come they change it into a normal card with a recharge, and that also withou any prior notification

Airtel — friends 1 card is deactivated by wrong message

friendz 1 card is deactivated by customer care executive he is teling me send message USUB DD to 51619.AND then deduction of 2 rupees is deactivated.

Airtel — Airtel Sim Card deactivated without any prior notice

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been using Airtel prepaid sim from the last three years.I have already submitted the required documents for verification at the time of purchasing the Sim card .

From yesterday, my sim card was disconnected and on talking to customer care they are saying that We have called/sms you for address verification and you did'nt give response,so they have deactivated the Sim though I did'nt get any sms/call from Airtel office.

I am really dissatisfied with this kind of service from one of the India's reputed telecommunication service provider.

Why should me as a customer suffer from such kind of mistakes from Airtel employees?

Why should I reinvest my money for purchasing new Sim card from Airtel when I had already one which was functional?

Is there any other way to escalate this issue?

on 1st Feb 2009 one of the member from our Frientz group was out of the group due to some reason.
again he wants join.
One weel later, I called the customer care, Vinod from CC told me that all the members from our Frientz group has to break from the group & again creat group but for that your balance should be above 30Rs.
Me & all my group members tried to form our group for thousand times but it fails all the time.
I request you to give guideline for the formation of our frientz group.

    i was been using 1mbps connection in raipur c.g. but when i moved to durg/bhilai there is airtel broadband in the city but not in the area where i live, i.e. civil lines... whats the point to releasing new tariffs and new schemes like 16mbps and so if airtel cant even sell them to the customers who actually needs them, i cant get an airtel connection because of this silly reason that they are not getting enough request for the connection from my area, ridiculous.

      Mera first plan Police Plan 150, but without inform mera plan local plan me convert kardiya. plz muze atleast conform karna tha ki April Month se plan change hone wala hai, but sir mai airtel ka 3 year se coustmer hu, atleat ek sms forward karna appke executive ka kam tha, but aap ke excutive muze awaz chada ke baat karna wonse mere ko tik se information nahi milna, sir app logone plan chang kiya tho tik hai but plan dena hai tho koi accha plan do jo muze adjust hota hai, but aap apne man se kuch bhi plan deke mere sath cheat kiya hai, aur plan bhi jo ki airtel to airtel 75 paisa itna costly plan aap bhi refer nahi korogye. sir, mai goverment employe hai, na tho koi student hu but app bina verification kiye aap ne plan change kardiya sir plz jaldi se jaldi mera plan change karwado-

        Dear ALL,
        I have serveral time call customercare to activated the GPRS service in my handset which has been changed and they have forwared my line to GPRS technical support to neccesary changes but they never pickup the phone. I keep for long 40 mins but they never pickup.Its earlier have tried for same to connect internet through this mobile.I have doubt whether there is such technical support for GPRS.

        Airtel — Mobile office-Poor Technological Knowledge

        I purchased a recharge card of Rs.395, which provides free internet for one month.But whn i used internet, now you guess it.
        Called customer care, found many uneven answers each time i call.
        I lost around 20 to 30 rupees.
        I had been charged 120 Rs for my free usage of 75 MB during night sessions . Till now none of the actions r taken. If i dont get my money back u have to face me in consumer court. It is now ur wish.
        also whenever i call austomer care italls me mess as MY AIRTEL, even after doing so i am not reachable the customer care. Very bad response. Ur only aim is to cheat customers.

        I've also faced similar situation with the Technical Support of Airtel. I purchased a SIM Card and a plan of Rs. 98.00 20 days ago to access internet in my cellphone. The internet connection stopped working n i was getting ''invalid server name'' message with all the web apps. I contacted the tech support and they told me that there was no such plan activated on my number!... I explained again them that i was using the internet on the same day and requested them to check again, then they immediately activated the connection... I really wonder about their knowledge. Obviously, nobody will expect tnis kind of support!!! Jagmohan singh.

          Hello,
          My airtel number is [protected]. i hav activated mobile office daily package for rs. 20 per day.
          this includes unlimited use of the gprs surfing. my problem is that despite of charged 20 rs per
          day for unlimited use i m charged additional charges on surfing. that is 30p per 50kb.
          i m facing this problem past 1 month. i hav complained several times but this problem is not yet
          solved. they refunded money thrice but i m not satisfied with the service and its non-usage.
          provide proper guidance for such.

          Airtel Prepaid — Complaint about airtel prepaid mobile office

          Respected sir/madam,

          My name is Gokul C R.I have been using airtel prepaid for about 2 years.My mobile no is [protected].I use mobile office in my phone and also uses to connect with my pc or laptop.But for the last 3 or 4 months I am not been able to use the service properly whenever i consult customer care they says it may be problem with the tower or they will tell something like that and also says that they will clear the problem as soon as possible, and I have been recharging for Rs.275 every month.This much money means a lot to me as i am a jobless person.i am recharging only because of my faith in airtel.So please do something for help people like me.

          My mobile phone with airtel sim card no [protected].has been lost / stolen; I called up your customer care center at about 1.45 PM today to register the compliant.

          Your Officers on the are quite impolite and even after requesting them to connect us to their supervisor they impudently disconnected.

          I request you to take suitable action and provide training to your officers to be at least polite on the line if they are unable to be of any assistance

          I bought new SIM in Puducherry (India) on 1st Jan 2009 and mobile number is [protected]. Also I submitted ID proof and photo to retail dealer (Mettupalayam). But now i am getting msg as you are not submit your ID proof and submit soon like that. Also outgoing service is not working.

          I have asked the retail dealer regarding this, but they are not taking care. I don't know what happen my submitted proof. My question is why you are mentaing this type of careless (wrost) retail delars?

          Airtel — Mobile office Unlimited Plan closed

          My Mobile no.[protected]. I am using my mobile GPRS to connect the internet using pc.
          Now Airtel announces Unlimited GPRS closed.So i am unable to use fulltime pc.
          So plz pesponse to me.
          I am Shyam Sunder Sharma, The Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd., New Delhi, have been using airtel postpaid connection since last one year. My Airtel Cell No. is [protected] and have been making payment regularly, but the bill received for the period from 05 June 2009 to 04 July, 2009 is absolutely wrong and not upto the mark.

          I have taken Airtel connection under Airtel 222 Plan, but you are charging monthly charges i.e. Rs.456/= i fail to understand why you are charging the same and why you are showing previous balance, as i have already paid the previous bill amount through Airtel Outlet Shop at Vijay Nagar, Ghaziabad.

          I am using mobile office plan that is pro-data based means per day charge. but sometimes company problems I can not use this service regularly.sometimes I have to wait for week also. But they charged me for whole month.So billing should be as per pro-data and hourly based service.

            I'm facing the worst (yes it is worst) customer care service from airtel since the last 2 months (the day I converted my number to post paid).
            Firstly, I'm getting 100's of messages in a day (Just imagine 100!!!) from an airtel number 543210.
            The SMS service is about cricket alerts.
            I've been contacting customer care since then, initially they were not sure why is this service activated. They gave me the reason I subscribed for it. When I said no, I've never subscribed for this service, they told me the service will be discontinued in 24 hrs, but its not.
            I called up customer care innumerable number of times & every time I got exactly the same response that "the service will be discontinued in 24 hrs". Its more than 2 months now, they cant stop sending spam to me.
            Imagine, they barr your outgoing calls the moment it exceeds its limit. But, dont know why they are so much reluctant to block this spam.
            The worst part is the service provider itself is sending spam. What more to expect.

            The current scenario, whenever I'm dialing airtel 121 the only option that I have (no matter what option I choose) is to send a SMS to 121.

            I would say Vodafone is the future.

            Even I agree to Shashi Walias complaint. I too am facing such a problem with my airtel prepaid account. I m receiving service messages which is shutting dowm my mobile system. This happens only when I receive a service message from airtel. I m trying how to block it but i am unable to do it. In addition to these service messages, there are numerios unwanted messages from airtel like downloading songs, sports updates etc which are being a nuisance.
            Sanil.
            Same experience. Same symptoms. Same pain being undergone. No response from Airtel inspite of speaking to them thrice.

              THIS IS SACHIN K. SHARMA . I WANT TO CAMPLAINT ABOUT AIRTEL MOBILE SERVICE. LAST 1 WEEK IM NOT GETTING INCOMING CALL PROPERLY & ALSO SOME IS HACKING MY SIM CARD & CALLING INTERNATION CALL. I DONT HAVE ANY CONTACT INTERNATIONAL.                 I requested that i convert my airtel lite plan into P.W.D PLAN .I clear my all the dues. i.e unbilled amount till(i.e april 22, 2009 ) that date under the customer account no.[protected] of mobile no.[protected].But my paid amount is more (Rs.37) than of that of my bill. piease adjust my more Rs.37 in my next bill of my mobile no.[protected].

                    எனது மொபைல் எண் [protected]. இந்த எண்ணிலிருந்து 121(ஏர்டெல் வாடிக்கையாளர் சேவைமையம்) யை கடந்த சில நாட்களாக தொடர்பு கொள்ள இயலவில்லை. எனவே [protected] என்ற எண்ணிலிருந்து[protected] அன்று இரவு சுமார் 09:00 மணியளவில்)121 யை தொடர்பு கொண்டு புகார் செய்தேன் அப்போது அந்த இணைப்பு துண்டிக்கப்பட்டது. அடுத்த சில நிமிடங்களில் [protected] என்ற எனது எண்ணுக்கு[protected] அன்று இரவு சுமார் 09:10 நிமிடத்திற்க்கு) [protected] என்ற எண்ணில் இருந்து ஒரு அழைப்பு வந்தது அதில் பேசிய நபர் தன்னை ஏர்டெல் வாடிக்கையாளர் சேவைமைய அதிகாரி என அறிமுகம் செய்து கொண்டார். நான் இணைப்பு பெரும்போது கொடுத்த அடையாள சான்று ஆவணங்கள் மற்றும் வாடிக்கையாளர் சேவை மையத்தை தொடர்பு கொண்ட தேதி நேரம் காரணம் ஆகியவற்றை மிக சரியாக கூறினார். பின் தாங்கள் அடிக்கடி வாடிக்கையாளர் சேவைமையத்தை தொடர்புகொள்கிறீர்கள் எனவும் ஒரே புகாரை 20 முறை பதிவு செய்து இருப்பதாகவும் உயர் அதிகாரிகளிடமும் புகார் செய்து உள்ளீர்கள் எதற்காக இவ்வாறு புகார் செய்கிறீர்கள் என கேட்டு உன்னுடைய முகவரி முதற்கொண்டு அனைத்து விவரங்களும் என்னிடம் உள்ளது இனி நீ வாடிக்கையாளர் சேவைமையத்தை தொடர்புகொள்ளகூடாது எனவும் உன் சாதி என்னடா ? என கேட்டு மிகவும் அசிங்கமான அநாகரிகமான வார்த்தைகளை கூறி மிரட்டல் விடுத்து திட்டினார். உடனே இது குறித்து வாடிக்கையாளர் சேவை மையத்தை தொடர்பு கொண்டேன் ([protected] என்ற எண்ணிலிருந்து) 24 மணி நேரத்தில் இந்த புகார் குறித்து விவரங்களை சேகரித்து நடவடிக்கை எடுப்போம் என்றனர். பின் 24 ம்ணி நேரத்திற்க்கு பின்[protected] அன்று இரவு 10:00 ம்ணியளவில் 121யை தொடர்பு கொண்டேன் ([protected] என்ற எண்ணிலிருந்து) அப்போது பேசிய அதிகாரி [protected] இந்த எண் ஏர்டெல் நெட்வொர்க்கை சேர்ந்தது இல்லை என்றார் பின்னர் பேசிய உயர் அதிகாரி இது ஏர்டெல் நெட்வொர்க்கை சேர்ந்த எண் என்றும் ஆனால் வாடிக்கையாளர் சேவை மையத்தை சேர்ந்தது இல்லை என்றும் கூறினார்.[protected] அன்று காலை 10:30க்கு நோடல் அதிகாரியை தொடர்பு கொண்டேன் ([protected] என்ற எண்ணிலிருந்து) அவரிடம் மேற்கண்ட புகாரை கூறினேன் இது குறித்து விசாரணை செய்துவிட்டு அரை ம்ணி நேரத்தில் நாங்களே தொடர்புகொள்கிறோம் என்றார் ஆனால் தொடர்புகொள்ளவில்லை. மாலை 03:45 க்கு மேல்முறையீட்டு அதிகாரியிடம் புகார்செய்தேன் ([protected] என்ற எண்ணிலிருந்து) உங்கள் புகார் குறித்து விசாரணை செய்து கொண்டுஇருக்கின்றோம் இன்று மாலைக்குள் எங்கள் நோடல் அதிகாரி உங்களை தொடர்பு கொள்வார் என கூறினார் ஆனால் இது வரை யாரும் என்னை தொடர்பு கொள்ளவிலை என்பதோடு இது குறித்து ஏர்டெல் வாடிக்கையாளர் சேவைமையத்தை தொடர்புகொண்டபோது நாங்கள் எந்த நடவடிக்கையும் எடுக்க மாட்டோம் என்றும் நீங்கள் காவல் துறையினரிடம் புகார் செய்யுங்கள் எனவும் கூறுகின்றனர்.மேலும் நான் இணைப்பு பெரும்போது கொடுத்த அடையாள சான்று ஆவணங்கள் ம்ற்றும் வாடிக்கையாளர் சேவை மையத்தை தொடர்பு கொண்ட தேதி நேரம் காரணம் ஆகியவற்றை எப்படி அந்த நபர் மிக சரியாக கூறினார் என்பதை கூற மறுப்பதோடு இது குறித்து எந்த நடவடிக்கையும் எடுக்க முடியாது என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்.என்னிடம் அநாகரிகமாக பேசி மிரட்டல் விடுத்த நபரை கண்டுபிடிக்க வேண்டியும் எனது மொபைல் இணைப்பு குறித்த தகவல்கள் எப்படி அந்த நபருககு கிடைத்தது என்பது குறித்து விசாரணை செய்து சம்மந்தபட்டவர்கள் மீது தக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டி கேட்டுகொள்கின்றேன்

                      The Complanit regards to automatic balance cuts from my prepaid airtel mobile no ([protected]).

                      This is happened on incoming messages of love tips and thought for day., I never subscribed this services. who is there handling and playing with our prestigous balance.

                      It happens after the message comes and saying you have debited rs3 for your VAS Download, (ie daily rs6) (my balance is now rs60 after rs174) but more importantly my handset is not web enabled.

                      Planning to take up this with grahak panchayat, if any one is there want to give additional supplementaries, pls contact on my email id([protected]@yahoo.co.in)

                            I am an Airtel MP Chhattisgarh. I pursuing my law degree from Raipur and since last 3 months I have been on roaming. On roaming I use to get my number recharged with Rs. 50 SMS pack and thereby avail 400 SMS. The charges were deducted according to roaming tariffs directly from my A2M SMS account.

                            On 30th June I got another such recharge done. My A2M account shows 400 bal. Yet when I am sending SMSs the charge is being deducted from my main account balance. I tried calling the customer care number but to no avail. Then I mailed to the customer care people. They guaranteed that the problem will be solved in 2 days, but its 1 week today and yet the problem continues.

                            Kindly take necessary actions.

                            Airtel — unwarranted deduction of charges

                            For the last 3 weeks AIRTEL has been deducting Rs 5/- per day from my prepaid balance towards "STOP MOSQUITO SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE" for which I have never subscribed in the 1st place. Despite several attempts through various dealers, to stop this nuisance, I have already lost about Rs 125/- and am still losing money. Please help me by stopping this unwarranted deduction and nuisance and by letting me know how I can get the amount re-credited to my account.

                                i have contact customer care about range problem on 7 june 2009 they have told me that your problem is solved within 7 days and give me a complaint number[protected], i wait 7 days but my problem still remains then i contact airtel customer care and ask about my problem they says your problem is solved by our side but i am still facing the problem, now i am contacting airtel customer care every 2 days every time they says your problem is solved in 24 hours, but my problem still remains. one day i am very tired and again contacted airtel customer care and says i want to talk to your team leader then one guy named Mr. Mausin Pathan talk with me and says that i will personally take care of your complaint and says me to wait up to 8 july 2009 after that if your again face this problem then take any action from your side so finally i am very very tired and complaint here. hoping there is anybody to help me.

                                  Perdon my expression in the subject line. But that is 100% true. Here's why ...

                                  I got AIRTEL service connected 2 weeks back, Prepaid. Having a Blackberry, I wanted to use emails and SMS. Hence when I asked the guy in the counter, he provided me with the Rs. 498/- internet service package. That was the only package provided in the flyer he showed me which is something to do with internet. The person in the counter told me that this is the package service I have to buy to get emails and SMS. I was also told it would take 2 days (48 hours) to activate this package. 4-5 days passed and nothing happens. I talked to the customer service at Airtel (phone). They took a day to find out that I have to visit a local Airtel office to setup my Blackberry enabling emails and SMS. I went to the Local Blackberry Airtel service counter and below is the conversation ..

                                  Purba - Can you please setup my Blackberry to get SMS and Email?

                                  Service Rep - What service you bought?

                                  Purba - Internet Package Rs. 498/-

                                  Service Rep - Did you buy Blackberry Service Also?

                                  Purba - I was not told, Ok I am ready to buy, will that help me to use Rs. 498/-?

                                  Service Rep - No, it will not because Blackberry Service cannot use Prepaid Amounts.

                                  Purba - then what happens to that Rs.498/- I already paid?

                                  Service Rep - I am extremely SORRY mam, its GONE !!! You should have got the connection from us. Why do not you buy a new handset from us?

                                  Purba - what do you mean? How do I know I have to buy the blackberry service from a specfic counter at kolkata? Is this the way you handle customer?

                                  *** NO ANSWER ****

                                  I then called the customer service at Airtel again, but heard only one statement ... " The money is already with the SIM, we cannot HELP, SORRY ..."

                                  SO BEWARE WHEN YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM AIRTEL

                                  I am a NRI, and I will also make sure all NRI gets this message.
                                  I am in the same situation and also NRI

                                  Airtel and all other sucks. Only thing which works in this country is BSNL.
                                  Great service at very low price. Although the service is slow and requires a lot of paperwork but if you are ready to through through the initial hell, its a breeze and worth it.

                                  Even works in Pakka Sarna, Rajasthan.

                                  I recommend BSNL for every NRI.
                                  airtel has blackberry prepaid option of 299, u need not buy the 498 package as the people in local shops do not know about blackberry at all...
                                  u can try searching for airtel blackberry plan from airtel website searching 9on net.
                                  currentkly the prepaid blackberry plan for email and chat is down... i use an unlocked version of blackberry 8300 of vodafone with airtel prepaiud account.

                                  i did use the email and chat plan for 1 month, when i spoke to customer service, i was toild that there are server issues ..ccounts getting the personal email, chat plan ffor blackberry...

                                  airtel does not sell email abnd chat plans for blackberry prepaid in open market.
                                  You mention that you have a blackberry - if so, how come you were not aware that the Blackberry Services It is the shop owner, who has taken for you for a Royal Ride.Agreed that Airtel service sucks in many parts. But in this instance you only have yourself to blame. Do take it up with the shop owner, and next time do take time to do some research ( you have the time to type a complaint - u can use that time to read up on the internet too :) )

                                  Yes, Airtel is cheating and I am experiencing trauma w whatever services I am choosing from it.First landline trauma and now this blackberry trauma..They still have some issues w Airtel Prepaid activation w blackberry and no ETA is there..They should have stopped taking new activations if they know there server is having problems.Yesterday only I subscribed 899 unlimited plan and the situation is same..They are saying we are not aware of timing when this problem will get resolved.1000s of customer on prepaid plan are stuck and cannot use the email and other services on blackberry. This is perfect case for dragging Sunil Mittal to consumer court.If someone like me is there we can club together all things and file a consumer case against airtel.Please contact me on my email id.

                                  Did u send the sms to activate the bb plan. The whole process is automated and it took me less than 10 miins to activate on 2 blackberries. Do call 7070 from your blackberry phone for support/complaints on blackberry service. They should be able to guide you.

                                    Dear Sir,
                                    I take Airtel lappo card for custmer balance transfer prepaid card. But this sim card problem.
                                    I told Distrubuter. But Distrubuter told me. You change ur mobile. But currntlly I use Nokia handset use for. Ideya and vodafone lappo card balance transfer. When I use Air tel lappo card. For custmer balanse transfer. This balance not transfer & when I check my balance transfer send message. This messager come to my mobile.
                                    I request to u please sold me my problem. Please give me airtel company of pune chinchwad areya TSM no Or email id. Because distrubutor not give me response.

                                      i m Rajneesh.my airtel mobile no. is 0091-[protected].i m not subscribed for sai baba pack & fusionlounge services on AIRTEL LIVE.BUT everyday i find a massage that 1 rs. deducted from my balance for sai baba pack & 15 rs. deducted for fusionlounge services/week.that's why due to these regions it is very difficultfor me to use this service.so, plz unsubscribe me from these unlike services.<br />

                                      AirTel — Airtel Live Not Working & for payment

                                      1.My mobile number is [protected] but from the date of my connection my airtel live services are not working.
                                      I have called at customer care almost a 100 times but no one responded positivly.

                                      2.The credit limit of my a/c. is 1500/- but last month i got a bill of 2430/- why they did not disconnected my outgoing when my credit limit croosed. After that i made a payment of Rs.2430/-
                                      on 01/07/2008 at 11.30 am but they called at my home at 2 pm
                                      and they abused my father to pay bill. why???????????????????

                                        Dear Sir,
                                        This regarding our mobile connection no . [protected]that, we are facing problem in our mobile bill since the bill of Dec, 08 to till date. We have submitted a request on 20/04/09 regarding the same for dis activate the 900 min. local free @rs. 300 vide request no.[protected], the call was attended by Mr. Rishi at 121. The request was for remove the pack from this connection.
                                        But next month we had received the bill there was found the double pack activated to this no. We are requesting to customer care again & again that kindly remove the un necessary charges from this mobile connection. every time when we are calling to air tel cc they giving some adjustments but not clearing the total unnecessary charges .
                                        we paying extra charges for nothing. Some other Request no. are given bellow:
