i am holding policy No[protected],since January,2007 and premium paid as per details here under. Date Amount 09.01.2007 Rs.3222.50 13.07.2007 Rs.3976.50 22.04.2008 Rs.2955.00 14.01.2009 Rs.3373.00 04.04.2009 Rs.3635.34 29.08.2009 Rs.3373.16 According to me my policy is in force ,since i made all premium payment.But on 21.10.2009 company has sent letter Ref No[protected] stating amount is refunded due to policy Lapsed.and send me cheque of Rs.10642.50 drawn on Citi Bank Mumbai,Vide Cheq No 054436 dated 21.10.2009 .which i have not encashed so far. i am pressuming there is a need to take appropriate action against the company for mental harassment and agony with compensation. i have taken a policy on 21/4/2006 and my policy no is[protected] and i have made payments roughly for three years and suddenly i stopped paying my premium due to some reasons and presently i want to withdraw the policy. could you kindly send me the status of my policy and how much amount is expected when i surrender it.
