I am a resident of North Kolkata and a subscriber of BSNL Landline and Broadband under the Arabindo Setu (2356) exchange which is under the jurisdiction of Manicktala exchange.
It is almost going to be a year i have got this connection, right from the started i have complained about too much noise in the line, I have visited the Manicktala exchange quite a lot of times but inspite of that my problem has not been solved. There is too much noise in the line which makes it unsuitable for holding conversations and also my broadband service is also getting affected because of it. My connection disconnects far too frequently making it absolutely unsuitable for use. Moreover the BSNL people at the Manicktala exchange the JTO the SDE and the lineman are all so irresponsive and rude in dealing with people. They have absolutely no sense of duty and concern for the problems of the customers to whom they are working for! And to add more most of the BSNL people i have tried to reach for escalation never pick up the phone.
I had emailed the nodal officer, i got a call in return after 1.5 months the result of which was nothing.
I have also informed the Area Manager of this issue, he had my complaint forwarded to the divisional engineer and also provided me with a phone number so that i may get in touch with him. I have tried calling on that number many times but nobody ever picked it up.
Presently, for three weeks my phone is dead, the broadband link rarely stays alive during most of the day, and if it does i get disconnected within a minute each time I connect. If someone would check my broadband usage details he would understand what kind of pain i am undergoing. The SDE says some pole was run over by a lorry, but my point is, how am i getting the broadband link occasionally when there is no dial tone on my phone?
Please, i am fed up, i am tired!
