Bharat Sanchar Nigam [BSNL] Complaints & Reviews

On 3rd Jan 2010 the broadband connection in the phone no +[protected] got disconnected. The complain was lodged on 4th Jan 2010 on the IVR 198 and in the telephone exchange on 7th jan 2010. It is yet to be rectified despite getting assurance from the concerned SDO that it will be done soon.
BSNL charges Rs 750 /month for the broadband connection and my connection is being down for 14 days now, In the bill it wont be reflected that the connection was down and I will be charged for one month despite the connection being down.
The people of the concerned telephone exchange as they are working in the public sector doesnot report in the office until 11am and I had to wait from 10 till 11.30 to lodge the complain. No one pays serious attention to the problem and to make the matter worse, no one comes despite assuring on the phone that they are sending people.
I hope some actions will be taken as such inconvenience has cost me a lot of time.

please note that I iam getting very high telephone bill. for Non2009 complain was booked and even sservices of std and mob. phone dialling were removed. Still phone is being misused by some one or
dynamic locking system is not working.

I have registered Complaint to BSNL Customer Care on[protected] Docket No 3497806 for Wrong Deduction of Rs.6. I have called Number of Team Leader there Name are Mr.Hamat, Mr.Mahadevan, Miss.Arti, Mr.Sikandar and Mr.Sikandar assured me that they will solve my complaint within 24 hours but he fail to solve and after ward he assured me that his head will call me at 7.00pm today but once again he fail. So i request kindly find out what is problem and please take proper action against this type of team leader.

I am not able view the call details from past 2 months and attached which shows error Call Details in www.bangaloretelecom.com website, so that solve the problem at the earlist.

There is request / suggestion, why can you make life time free incoming call for land line phones as you now other service providers give the plans as above i do have 3 connections of land lines of BSNL .

I,Nanduru Mallikharjuna Rao,am a customer of BSNL prepaid mobile services bearing the number [protected].Sorry that i am unable to provide the exact dates in this complaint.My complaint is that last year in the month of december(I am unable to recollect the exact date somewhere around 1st 2 weeks i received a sms from the voice services 12555 regarding one LEARN ENGLISH pack for which we called the number and subscribed the pack for which Rs20/-was deducted from our balance, but the same day felt the need to unsubscribe it and called the bsnl customer care for its help in unsubscribing it for which we were guided to send an sms by typing in CAN LEARN ENGLISH to 12555.we did the same but with no result.This month on[protected] when i recharged my account it automatically got deducted off Rs20/- from my account.I called up customer care for their assistance and they provided me with different versions.1)the first person asked me for the number from which the sms was forwarded to my number and i mentioned that this time in the sender's field it was present as ONMOBILE but no number can be elicited.He took my complaint and said that he will forward it and it will be rectified in 24 hrs.2)i checked out that the number from which i first received the sms was from 12555 and called the customer care for the second time for which she checked the data base and asked me to call 1255530 and follow the instructions to unsubscribe the pack.I did the same and the result was that the ivrs service declared that i wasnt subscribed to any of the packs.for this the call charges was 30ps /min.3)the third time i called up the customer care to convey the same message and this time he asked me to call 1255580 and i did the same,but this time the call charges were Rs5/min,i called the number twice so that it can be of any help but i had to part with RS 50 nearly for all this hopeless venture without any result.4) for the 4th time when i called up the customer care to decide whether it was upto their reach /not finally the answer was to go to the nearest BSNL office and try for the solution.
this is all my anguish that as a customer i have faced for subscribing the voice service accidentally and left with no solution to unsubscribe it rather than parting my money every month for the service which i am no longer or have ever used.
Please provide me your help and suggestions in this regard so that i can retrieve my money back or atleast be saved from departing Rs20/- every month from my account.

All the customer of BSNL EXCEL PREPAID connection please be aware with their balance amount and check ur balance amount after each call specially in kolkata,westbengal. Bcoz BSNL is manipulating the call charges. In my case, I've bsnl connection with promo that gives me the facility of call to any local bsnl with 5paise/min and local non-bsnl 50 paise/min. Today morning my balance was Rs.52 after a non-bsnl local call (about 2 min) my balance is become 47 paise. I've talked to the customer care but they just logged complain but no solution,no refund. Even they don't want to say why the Rs. 50 has been deducted. After 12 hours my problem is remain unsolved. Please careful with your bsnl prepaid/postpaid connection.

Since last week I have been getting adult jokes from TA-ADJ56677 number which is BSNL's service.
I have not subscribed and I have even complaint by calling BSNL call center and still these sms have not been stopped. The adult messages without one being asking to send is sexual abuse and I felt extremely offended.

i am a user of bsnl mobile no [protected]. few days ago i subscribed wap service"sherlyn30"pack from bsnl gprs services.i got a message from 58888 to unsubcribe service they sent a url http://wap1.indiatimes.com/wapsub.html?=subwaptextsherlyns30&p=mc&a=1 but this url not open on my phone.so i can not unsubscribe this service i want to unsubscribe this wap service.i already sent you a complaint but you can not do any work on it.if this service is not unsubscribed on my number. it is necessary for me to go to consumer forum and change mobile service oprator. so please unsubscribe this wap service on my mobile.

We registered for telephone and BB connection dated: 7th Nov 09. So far we have not received either of them. Its more than 2 months and when I contact the respective BSNL office (IIM BSNL office) I get various excuses all the time. I fail to understand when I could have the same connection 2 years back (2006), how come in 2010 in the same flat/address I dont have the connection even after 2 months waiting period.
Feasibility problem NOT there as we had the same BSNL BB connection in 2006.
Pl let me know when this WO can be implemented. If this is not possible pl let me know so, so that I can go for alternative option.

TO 2 JAN FROM THE NO.[protected].AFTER THAT ON 9 JAN THERE WAS AGAIN A DEDUCTION OF RS5 FROM THE NO.[protected].AND THERE IS NO. RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE AND NO ONE FROM CUSTOMER CARE IS LISTENING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. THERE WAS A WRITTEN COMPLAINT TOO WHOSE DOCKET NO. I have IPTV connection by AKSH through BSNL at my residence, Swarodgam 53 Ballabh Bari, Kota Rajasthan. I experienced that the services of IPTV are so poor which I have experienced at various times. Today when I am out of Rajasthan I recd call from my residence that IPTV is not working since yesterday. I tried to contact [protected], 0744 2488611, [protected] but all the numbers did not respond my call. Further I contacted to Mr Neeraj on [protected] at aprox 1.00pm but upto 8.30 nobody attended my complaint.In my views IPTV provided by Aksh Jaipur is a useless and disappinting service. At the time of changing the channel it takes too much searching time too. Now I have requested by mail to Aksh to refund my security amount and I will choose another option.

I have a BSNL telephone connection[protected].
From Saturday to till date no any person comes for solve my internet disconnection problem.
I complained on 1500 at regular basis, the person attended the phone & say this is not a private company, this is a govt. company. so please wait for 48 hours at saturday. At monday I call to this number, attendant say wait for 24 Hours. Then today a call is ringing at my phone & caller says, Line man will come. but upto this time, no person come.
If this problem is with me (Former TAC Member, Faridabad) than how a general customer suffering with working of BSNL Workers & Staff.

My Name is K. Anandhan and Iam Running my own business in Coimbatore. My mobile No. is[protected].
Daily 8 to 10 anonymous messages from BT-55888, BT-54000, BT-59595, BT-55666. I make complaint to BSNL customer care several times. BSNL customer care calling me on[protected] and ask my problem. They register the complaint and give the complaint No.TN[protected]. they promise that within 24 hours yours problem will be solve.

on[protected] I recd. a message from BSNL - Please send UNSUBALL to 55888 to deactivate. Immediately i sent a sms as per instruction ( sms charge 2 Rs.). instantly i recd. a msg. from 55888 (You are not subscribed to any of the services). As usually I have recd. anonymous msg. till time.

My telephone[protected] is out of service since 8th January,2010. This is a regular occurance that after a regular interval telephone is out of service. The service provider BSNL is not seriously attending the complains. Every time we have to approach the linemen and get it repaired with personal efforts. We donot understand why BSNL, Nagpur authorities are not taking interest for after sales service. At the same time we have to pay rent for the period when we donot use the phone due to BSNL problems. I hope this will be taken seriously.

It is really irritating to receive promotional sms and calls ([protected]) from BSNL at odd times of the day and also holidays.Our busy schedule is interrupted by a stupid call promoting ring tones.Why doesn't the company realise that all are not crazy about ring tones and they are busy with their work and would contact the company for any requirement of tunes.
All this inspite of registering in DNC registry.If the service provider is itself a nuisance to the consumers,what help could they be of blocking telemarketers?
I hope this mail would put an end to the harassment of consumers.

i have a connection of BSNL BROADBAND HOME UNLIMITED PLAN AT SHAHJAHANPUR, U.P. EAST CIRCLE.MY TEL.NO IS [protected] FROM WHICH IGET THE BROADBAND CONNECTION. I AM GETTING SPEED OF AS LOW AS 5kbps instead of 256kbps and the speed also fluctuating rapidly for the last 7 days. After approaching the local authority they replied that all these are from BANGALORE SERVER, WECANN;T DO ANYTHING.AS I AM AN UNLIMITED USER I FACE REVENUE LOSS AND ALSO MY PURPOSE HAD NOT BEEN MET OUT.REQUESTED TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTION.
