[Resolved]  Catwalk Shoes — Catwalk shoes--Manufacturing defect

This is to bring to your kind attention that for the last three years I have always worn Catwalk shoes, i dont want know what you call this but I call this BRAND LOYALTY.
However on 14/4/08 I had purchased a pair of catwalk shoes from Pantaloons Camac Street Kolkata, the very next day i found that there was a crack in the soles.I took the same to Pantaloons which was replaced.Post which its just been a month and I worn the pair of shoes for only 10 days the soles have again cracked.This time when I again took it to Pantaloons the Department Manger Mr.Gautam Biswas agreed that its a manufacturing defect, hence I catagorically mentioned that I need replacement and not repairing of the old pair since I was informed at the time of purchase that there is 3 months replacement warrenty available.
However the worse part is today i received call from Mr.Rizwanur of Catwalk claiming that he wont replace rather repair it for me as per policy.But I have a small question here that are we shelling out Rs 750/800/950/- for just one month then i think we should go ahead and better buy any normal shoes rather than going for any brands.Moreover I think customers should have clear idea about your policies, so that nobody have to across such a rude experience.
Please note that since its a manufacturing defect I will only go for replacement.

Will be awaiting a revert.

I believe that before anyone goes on to talk about how this namebrand Catwalk - is such "ROYALTY"; you should really look on to whom this shoes are made by and it what conditions.
I don't believe that in a enclosed "factory" or "cellar" with hardly any space to work or with any air conditioner is the proper place for any human being to be working. I also don't believe that for a person to be working 16 and 17 hours is HUMAINE just to satisfy the EAGERNESS of clients that want sum shoes that makes them feel like "royal". Before any of this, remember that we are all HUMANS and we are all equal no matter what! That no matter social economy or social status, we are all humans, regardless of money or status.

You are "shelling" roughly Rs. 750/800/950; that is roughly about US$ 17.50/18.00/22.40 in today's market, Have you bothered to ask yourself "How much is the guy or young kid making? I bet is not even Rs. 40 - You should all be ashamed of buying this shoes. Ashamed at the fact that they are working under such conditions while you just walk on shoes to showcase a product - Consider if it was your SON, BROTHER, UNCLE, FATHER...
I had bought a pair of Catwalk shoes few months back. after that i wore it twice and got really bad shoe bites all over my feet and gave the pair for repair.
i got it back but the same problem occured again and again so i gave it for repair again but in vain.
now i asked the company for a replacement since the shoe is defective and inspite of repeated repair the problem is not getting solved. It has been almost 2 months since i gave the pair for replacement and no action has been taken. I went to the store (kemp's corner) from where i bought it and asked for replacement but they said its a company policy not to replace, In spite of talking and explainign to the higher authorities of the manufacturer the problem is not solved. BTW I have been buying catwalk shoes since a long long time but even then they fail to hear me out.

I bought catwalk shoes and not exactly happy with them. One shoe is perfect fit while the other is tight. Don't know if i can replace them.
I just received a power point presentation that is runinng all around South America ( I am in Colombia) about this company and wanted to know if it was real what i received because is not at all one thing you, the people from India should be proud of, so I "Google" it and found this page just to let you know what is running in the internet about the shoe industry in India
This presentation is regarding the production methods and lines used in this factory, I do not know if is real or not and if it belongs to this brand, I just understand that the line and methods really exist for the pictures shown in that peresentation.
If happens to be truth I now wonder why the bad poor quality control and the absurd answer you received in your claim
Here I am from Ahmedabad, India complaining about your two shoes products which I have purchased from Ahmedabad only. Bad part is that these two were spoiled after just one single use which I can't really believe yet and both of them were worth of Rs.1200. So I am really very disoppointed after this thing. Can not any more think about to purchase such a costly shoes from Catwalk. According to me this is really very big shame for Catwalk company.
Kindly want your kind response for my this humble complain. And do something for replacement.

i had bought a pair of catwalk sandals on march 8th from the reliance footprints, manglore.wore it only twice and the sole came.took it back to d shop the next day itself.but they told me that its not replacable but it can be repairedeven though it was a manufacturing defect.i gave them the sandals and i was asked to come aftr 15 days.i wenta ftr 16 days.they told they need some more time.they took almost a month in delivering it.so i lost a month of my warranty too.i did not use the sandals much after that.few days back .again when i wore it the sole came out for the second time.i am very disapointed.
I have been trying you Catwalk helpline [protected] & [protected] since a month now, however there ahs been no response. I would liek to redeem my points as I am a regular customer with Catwalk. Kindly rpovide an alternate number or ask someone to get in touch wihe me. Thanks
I have been trying to get my membership card and redeemable coupons from Catwalk guys. I have called them several times at [protected] and [protected]. I have never recieved redeemable coupons (except for once when i had really chased them for days together on daily basis). When i try to reach them, most of the times they dont pick up the phone. Later when they do, they say they would send me the card. Regarding redeemable coupons that they never send, they say the date of coupons have expired and they cant help me on that. This is really annoying. They dont realise that its been years that i ve been buying there shoes .. that too not small purchases.

Yesterday when i called them, their customer care associate Shagufta told me that her senior Mr. Vaibhav would call back today and now when i called them (since i did not recieve any call from them), they hung up. If any of the senior personnel at Catwalk Mumbai or Catwalk India gets to read this, i would ask you guys to respect your customers. Your store management is good but your post sale services are pathetic ! Kindly take care of your customers if you intend to grow your business.
If a party shoe which costs 1600 and which is worn hardly 2-3 times in y 6 months gets spoilt then why buy Catwalk shoes? Might as well buy something worth 200 bucks from the streets as the quality of both seem to be the same . at least the hawker is more polite compared to the sales staff sitting at the head office of Catwalk Mumbai. No one should complain about these shoes, but simply ban them.. The research was done revealing the appalling conditions of workers at the Catwalk plant. The only machinery at this plant are sewing machines, the rest is done manually by overworked, underfed workers who are treated like cattle.

The difference between the clean and shiny catwalk shops and overcrowded dirty plant where the workers both live and work is mesmerising!

Generally I think that products from such companies which make great profits through the labour enslaving should be banned and their owners penalised!
these are cxactly the reasons i have changed my brand preference... ur quality has degraded a lot... the finishing is so PATHETIC!!! even the local shoe shop has better finishing than yours. upgrade your quality n look for consumer satisfaction or else m sure this brand is headed for a closure!
I Given My Catwalk Footwear To Pantaloons From Last One Month But There Is No Response. They Told Me That They will give me After 15 Days But I didnt Got My footwear yet. The Warranty is for 12 months But The Service Taking Time Is 1 Month Then What's The Use Of Warrenty?
I have bought a pair of Catwalk shoes just two months back, but within a month of wearing it, the pasting is coming off. This is just not expected from a reputed brand like Catwalk. This is not only my experience, my colleagues also have had similar experiences. One of my colleague's Catwalk shoe's heels boke within one month. THIS IS JUST NOT DONE
I had bought a pair of Catwalk sandals and they were damaged within 1 month of the purchase date. I went back to the Salesman and got them repaired.But again within 1 week they got damaged again.Now the Catwalk staff is even refusing to repair them again. Their service is so pathetic.
I have also faced the above mentioned issue many times .

Customer Care is worst and very rude, They treat as if we are begging .

I have purchased a 1700 shoe and not even a single day, and it got damaged,

Same day a Big Manufacturing Defect came to me .

I visited to outlet next day, But manager behave very rudely as if i came for begging .

Even i talked to Ayesha Merchant, She is also very rude and stupid lady, Without seeing my pairs she claims me that it is not a manufacturing defect .

She was saying that she is the head of Catwalk and she rules here and she decides on the policy .

Even she declined me to redirect to the director .

Please let me know where it is written that customer cannot contact director,
If People like Ayesha Merchant behave like a dictator, As if she owns the Catwalk .

I bought a product of 1700 and after 17 hours all flaps are torn off. (It includes Bow, Beads and it is torn form side walls )

I will be going to the consumer court and seek their help if you people maintained such attitude.

From website i get the policy terms and conditions :
7 days 1:1 exchange policy:
(a) Manufacturing defect not wear and tear.
(b) Product was not bought during SALE.
(c) Original bill is presented.

All the terms and condition are fulfilled in my case .

Please let me know where i have to go for my problems because customer case is worst in mumbai .

we recently bought a pair of shoes (which was barely marked down 10%) in a sale;

However, within a month and maybe 10 wears at the maximum, the leather has started pealing off - and the company just washes its hands off saying we give no warranty on products on sale...

The customer care was not even bothered to understand the SHODDY quality that they deliver in the products - forget ensuring that such things do not happen again..
I possess multiple shoes of your brand. Few days back one formal pair that I bought in 2013 saw a wear n tear. Thus I decided to take it to an exclusive catwalk outlet at infinity malad, Mumbai. Funny as it sounded to me the salesman there refused to take my shoe for repair as it didn't fall in warranty period inspite of the fact that I was willing to pay for it. He informed me of your company policy which only took any responsibility of repair if it fell within 6 months of purchase. Firstly let me tell you no purchased item ever sees any problem in 6 months unless it is of extremely low quality. So that is very disgusting of catwalk of refusing service. As brands like Nike n metro n inc 5 take their brand shoe across all branches for repair irrespective of how long ago purchase was made. Then why should a person spend 2-3k to wear catwalk when he isn't going to get any service from you. I'd rather wear a roadside shoe n not regret even if it suffers damage after few months as by then it would have lived its life n served its purpose. With lot of disappointment I hereby write this mail. Also letting you know the vitality of providing after sales service to customers today on india, not taking them for granted to survive the competition.
