Subject: Complaint regarding the inadequate ticket books faclilities and arrogant attitude by the ticket counter staff at Vashi Station

Respected Sir,


On 13th May 2009 I rushed to Vashi station by around 7:15 am since I wanted to travel from Vashi to Bandra, I planned to catch 7:27 am Andheri train.

I was not having coupon booklet so I inquired at the ticket window where the lady staff at the ticket window said me she don’t have the ticket coupon.

When I asked her will I get the coupon she didn’t replied me then the passenger in the ticket queue said me you will get it in the next counter I immediately rushed to the next window and I inquired to the staff in next window regarding the coupon he said coupon book of Rs 50/- is available so I immediately handed him 100Rs/- note by that time lady staff next to him prompted him not to give me the coupon.

On listening this he started behaving rudely he said me to give the change I said him I don’t have the change then he said me then take your money back we also don’t have change.

I said him that I will miss the train he suggested me I can take the next train, I explained him Andheri train after 7:27 am is at 8:15 am and I will be late, since I was suppose to reach by 8:15 to the seminar in Bandra.
Still he kept me waiting till almost 7:25 am and rather paying attention to me kept giving the tickets to other passengers, I said him since lot of passengers are giving him the change he can give the change of Rs 50/- back from that to me but he was not ready and by 7:25 am he gave me the coupon book.

Immediately I took the the coupon rushed to Ticket validating machine, I punched the ticket and rushed
(literally running) to the last platform to catch the train.

There would have been no problem of running and catching the train had I been not the seven months pregnant lady.

Really a great attitude your staff have towards the passengers they don’t even look that the lady is pregnant and still they make me wait in the queue and bcos of them I have to literally run to get the train and the stomach pain I have to suffer in the whole journey after running.
Your staff should really be appreciated for this behaviour, even the fellow passengers shows the humanity .
Are your staff are not taught how to behave with the passengers.I think they need to get trained in the humanity or behavioral training with the passengers.

This is not the first time I was not offered the coupon book by the lady staff at Vashi station but twice or thrice it happened with me. I ignored it but yesterday's event was really horrible and memorable.

Is the lady staff not interested in the Railways profit bcos she doesn’t give the ticket booklet and due to this railway only losses the passengers.
I don’t understand is that lady has some personal problem with persons asking for coupon book.
Or that booklet is not for sale then why it is kept at every station?

I have never experienced this situation for last 25 years in Western train, but I think this is really horrible experience which I will be remember of.

I was going to complain this to the railway officer about there behaviour but since I was to rush to the seminar so couldn’t complain.

Being Vashi resident, now I will have to think twice before going to the Vashi stn to get the coupon booklet no idea with what lady will humiliate me with..

Really bad but true experience.

Hope the necessary steps are taken on this issue.

as you sow so shall you reap. i dont think anybody and especially a pregnant lady politely asks for a service and gets arrogant behaviour in return.
personally talking about myself whenever i go at any public office i bear in mind that if i am informed and polite i will get polite and decent behavior in turn. no government official is automatically instigated to behave rude. It is our frame of mind that either works wonders or blunders.
i dont mean we should be submissive or aggressive. let us all educated people think positively that we should first excercise our duty before claiming our rights. we should bear in mind that all the government services are highly subsidized so it is wrong to think that we are 'paying' for the service, we are only contributing to the government for helping the soceity.
relly do some for this, because we also suffer lato of time.
Complant regarding atvm card

my atvm card (smart car) is out of order since last 15 days . i visited vashi station counter, dadar station ticket counter, wadala station ticket counter and vt ststion ticket counter but i did not get replacement of card or refund of my deposit of 50/- . what action should i take to avail my facilities of the same card, looking for your positive reply.
