[Resolved]  Chennai Packers & Movers — Regarding the missing goods

Hi this is Sankaranarayanan.K, working in a mnc. Recently I switchover to Hyderabad for my job. I have received a call from Mr. Munirathnam who is the field executive of chennai packers & Movers. I have relocated my household goods from chennai to Hyderabad through chennai packers & movers (they are saying that it’s a leading packers & Movers in Tamilnadu). They loaded all my house hold goods on 7 th Jan 2009 from my home. I asked them to relocate my goods to hyd by partial load option, but they said there is no partial load for the entire week and they booked it on full load basis. I have paid all the money at the time of loading as per their policy. And I asked them to deliver it on weekends (Saturday or Sunday), they also agreed it. And they said being it’s a full load, will take only one day to reach hyd. But what happened was they delivered it on 14th of Jan 2009 midnight. The delivery people got Rs 300 for delivery charge from me. I was tired on that day so I am not able to count the boxes. On the next day morning, I started checking my boxes and I found one box is missing. That box contains all my kitchen utensils. Immediately I called them (both Hyderabad office & chennai office), and register a compliant about this. I made a call to Mr. Munirathnam of chennai packers & movers. They said they will check with their warehouse and inform me. But I have not received any reply from them. I called them and asked about the boxes, they said that it is lying with someone’s house and it will be delivered with today[protected] evening. But I have not. My doubt was it was a full load then how it could be wrongly delivered to someone. Suddenly I got a call from Hyderabad office (Mr. Umapathy); he said that the concern person is not accepting to take the box from his. Because he also missed his oil can. Mr. Umapathy gave the third party’s number and asked me to call the person and asked about the material. I called him. But he is not ready to give it to me. Then I made “N” of calls to chennai office & Hyderabad office. I have not received any useful information. Finally they gave their complaints (Mr. Selvaraj) manager number. I called him and explained everything. He accepted their mistakes and asked me wait for a week. After a week I called the same person on 10-02-09, he said Mr. Umpathy is in chennai, he will get the things done before 18th of Feb 09 other wise they are ready to compensate me for the missing items. They said they will compensate RS 2000 for the missing items. I accepted his wordings. I haven’t received any information about the boxes or about the compensation. I called Mr. Munirathanam on 19-02-09, he asked me to send my bank details for compensation. I sms my bank details to him. He said he will deposit the money on 21-02-09. In the meanwhile I asked about his M.D’s (Mr. Kumar) mobile number, but they refused to give the number. I called again on 21-02-09 for getting confirmation about the payment. He said he gave all bank details to the concern team and they will deposit the money on 21-02-09. But it was not. Finally I called them on 23-02-09 for getting the information about it. He disconnects my call. I called him again 7 again finally he accepted it and he gave it to Mr. Selvaraj, but this guy started scolding and he said you are waiting for claim normally all the claims will happened after 2 months or after a year. So u need to wait until that. I got angry and I disconnected the call.

I struggled a lot because of this issue. I have a small kid, and moreover all my utensils are lying in that box. Regarding this I already sent a mail to their official mail id two times, sofar I haven’t received any reply from them.

Kindly let me how to resolve this issue.
