I am a traffic Planner in a Government Department. I wish to bring to your kind notice the frequent happens in Ethiraj samy Sali, Kodugaiyur.This particular stretch having length about 750 meters having effective carriageway width of 45 meters. If you go through your police record during the past four month there may be about five fatal and more than ten grievous injuries. It is sad to note every alternate day there may be one or two accident. In this short stretch there are two major school, four Kaliyana mamdapams, one wine shop were located. This is major feeder road to the city .I don’t know the reason what makes the frequent accident ? It may be the bad geometric of the road or the wrong location of wine shop(unruly youth) or it may be location of kalyana madapam on the road margin without having any parking space or due to the several automobile mechanic shop found on road.
I am humbly request to make an in-depth study this case as a special one and save the innocent life who deserted their family on the mid of the road.

Your driver was impatient and could have costed someones life. You must have be courteous to pay the entire amount of Rs1050 for the offence your driver created and deducted from his salary. You look like a fool talking about it here... You just cheated the system. You simply made an arrangement with the inspector and cheated the system. Accept it!
I wish to indicate that nobody obeys the traffic lights at the Chamiers road - Venkatakrishnan road intersection (junction next to Park Sheraton while proceeding to Mandavelli). There is no traffic constable posted there and even when he is there, he does not take any action on erring Bus drivers (who are a law on to themeselves) motorsits or two wheeler riders. This is getting to be serious and one of these days there is likely to be a bad accident.
I request that the Police constable be palced on duty there and heavy fines be instituted for tarffic violation at this junction. Indians in general seem to be indisciplined and only fear penalties or punishment.
I strongly suggest that the method of cancelling the driving license if ther are more than five traffic violations be caonsidered and enforced.

My name is Selvan. This incident took place near Ashok Pillar signal chennai at 4.20 P.M 17/07/2011. While i was crossing the signal a group of police caught me and verified my licence and insurance. Everything was perfect with me. Then he asked 1500 rs. I asked why sir everything is perfect with me. Then he said "if you are not going to give money i will book you under not obeying signal, i know whome to get money. I had only 500 rs in my purse. I showed my purse to him. He took that money and gave my bike key.

On Thursday around 09:58 AM on 12 Jul 2012. I was hit by a Call Taxi car no TN 02 AT 2470 operated by FRIENDS TRACK (P) LTD at Gemini circle. I was waiting at the signal at the circle from Radhakrishnan Salai turning towards the Mount road to my office at Egmore. My vehicle (Santro black colour) was hit from behind of on the right side of the bumper by the driver of this call taxi (TN 02 AT 2470) who he had a lady passenger in the back seat. I got out to inspect my damage to the car and asked the call taxi driver why he had hit me. He said he wanted to turn towards Nungambakkam side. Since I was at the signal I asked the local police inspector on duty at the Gemini circle to assist in this incident. The inspector asked the taxi driver of the call taxi and myself to stop in front and sort out the accident. I got into the car to stop at the corner. To my surprise the Call Taxi driver took off without even stopping. Therefore I took a picture of the call taxi (which is attached for your reference) on my mobile phone.
I am surprised in today's world our law in India has no meaning today towards human value, if some one hits someone or has a serious accident. These days no one cares. How can I take this complaint forward ? If this call taxi driver is allowed to escape the law he will do this again repeatedly with utmost confidence of not being caught or penalised. Please let me know how to pursue this case.

On 14 th Oct 2012, I had parked my Two wheeler in front of The Indian Bank along with at least 30 others and there were equal no.s in front of the adjoining State Bank, located in Mount Poonamallee road Porur .The road widening work is going on shabbily for the past two years.There is no road boundary marked by any Kerb or signs.So nobody knows the road limit.The Banks also have no definite earmarked Parking space with the result two wheelers were parked in front of banks in an irregular manner.There was no traffic problem at this place located half Km from the Porur Junction
Suddenly at about 12.30 pm Traffic Police came with Chains and locks and locked many Two wheelers and demanded payment of Rs 260/ as fine for parking in unmarked Highway limit.They were also transporting two wheelers of those who were inside the Banks and who were not aware of the Police action, in a Retrieving Lorry.
In the absence of a Kerb line to indicate the HW limit, it was atrocious to penalize people like this.If there is no clear marked Parking space of the Banks, the Banks must be prohibited from functioning, as any commercial Establishment should provide Parking space.In the absence of a clear Road boundary, the Traffic Police should refrain from taking any penal action for parking in unmarked limits.
The traffic police do not remove the platform vendors at the Porur junction, both along Arcot road and Kundrathur road, where only, Traffic is affected badly.The over enthusiastic attitude of Police to collect fines in such places is condemned.

Today (12th November, 2012) i was coming by MTC bus from Chennai beach towards Sholinganallur. After alighting from the bus; i tried to cross the kalaignar karunanidi salai to come to the bus stop, throught the pedestrian. When i heard a loud honking noise coming from the KK salai. I turned left and i could see a white color sedan(i think maruti swist dzire) was speeding at over 100 KMPH and literally skipped the signal. Not only that, few of the pedestrians were crossing the road and the traffic beat police (remember the J2 police station sholinganallur is also nearby) was seeing all these. I went to the traffic constable and told him that the car driver broke the signal.
I got a cold snub from the constable; saying i am wrong in crossing the road and not the driver.
I hope such irresponsible constables be taken off the rolls ; lest this will malign the reputation of the Chennai traffic police department as a whole

This is creating a kiosk for all the commuters from Minjur towards south chennai. Because of this people tend to suffer a lot.
Traffic police should control in well manner. This TPP is a four lane road, one of the road can be dedicated to container traffic and the other can be left out to the public so that we commute comfortably.
In present scenario even an ambulance could not travel to the nearest hospital facility which is available in Thiruvottiyur.
Kindly do the needful by deploying adequate traffic police force and also educate them to control the traffic so that everything should be in their respective place.
Hoping so, my query will be heard as soon as possible.

Pedestrians are finding very difficult while crossing Guindy road( near Ashok Leyland). So it would be better i[censored] arrange for a signal or some police man.So that it would be easy for many to cross the road. A humble request.

A resident of 5th. avenue, Ashok Nagar, Chennai, I take my child by cycle to a school in West Mambalam.I find it very difficult to commute
the strech, Rajunaicken St - Veerasami St. as the roads have become narrower due to the cars and cabs parked on the roads, especially
at Raju st. Arya gowda Rd. junction where the road is very narrow and is almost reduced to half the width due to the cars parked.Some of the cars are so dusty that there is no indication of being used. Parking on the roads and pavements should be taken seriously by the authorities and the offenders should be severely punished.

INSTRUCT THE TWO WHEELER S TO DRIVE ON THE EXTREME LEFT AND SHOULD NOT COME TO RIGHT, IF SO CHARGE THEM
PLEASE HAVE POLICE BOOTH AT 10 FEET HEIGHT ON ALL ROADS WITH ONCE IN 200 FEET, THIS WILL HELP TO VIEW THE ROAD CLEARLY AND CATCH THE PEOPLE WHO ARE DRIVING RASH, BECAUSE THE TWO WHEELER S ARE DOING TWIST AND TURNS ON THE ROAD WHICH IS NOT KNOWN BY THE POLICE STANDING IN THE SIGNAL.

Chennai Traffic Police — need a traffic police at nelson manickam road near pantaloon store
there is a huge backlog of vehicles at peak hour. fights develop at times. i understand this place is one of the busiest in chennai, i would like to request chennai police have one of their personnel during peak hour traffic. attimes it is just crazy with lots of honking. people do not want to let others pass by.

I can see few accidents occur near the KumaranNagar Bus Stop at OMR Road.hence a Signal placed at that junction would be great to avoid traffic as well as accidents.

Velachery Road : When will it be viable for Commutation during office hours!!!
One of the reason to hate Chennai is commuting to office via velachery Vijayanagar - Tharamani road towards Ramanujam IT park. Today it took 1 hour for me in the CAR to travel just from Madipakkam signal till SRP.
The Vijayanagar junction has become the busiest junction as there is a MTC bus stand and traffic from all the four sides.
Considering the fact of residential growth of south Chennai, authorities must take an action to bring in proper road facilities to have an uninterrupted flow of traffic during peak hours.
Also, the long pending road laying work on the velachery - tharamani road, is making situation worse. Almost every day I could see people having arguments/fights on the road because of minor accidents.
Why don't the Authorities appropriate actions to have the roads laid well so that citizens can enjoy a smooth and comfortable ride in this road.?

Mean time a tree within our compound broken and fell down on the road and traffic was obstructed. The traffic police and corporation officials rushed to the spot and cleared the traffic. We want to remove the balance tree else it may also fell and may cause damage or injury to the public. Unless the abandoned car is removed we cant remove the tree. Please take steps to remove the abandoned car.
I am residing in LIC Qtrs, Third Main Road United India Nagar, Ayanavaram. By my quarters compound a car no.TN.01. AB 3463 is parked for more than a month. iam sureshkumar, i went to malayaperumal street opp to pookadai bustand.i was unable to walk in that road because there are so many drycycles and vicheles parked in both the the sides no place to walk sir and there are also full of vegetable shops in middle of the road if we ask to leave place to walk means they are using valgar words sir.
i have complained many times to b2 police station but there is no responds.
please take immediate action regarding this issue sir.
