[Resolved]  Citibank Home Loan — Levying incorrect charges

All,

I am a customer of Citibank Home loan for last 8 years and has been paying EMI's regularly thru SI form given to them in past. Recently (Jan 09) the old SI form got expired and I sent them the revised one (electronic) and got the confirmed receipt from them. Despite of that, they haven’t deducted the EMI's from my current account for last 2 months on the basis that they haven’t received it. Surprisingly the lady (A Aishwarya) at customer care saying this, herself has sent me a confirmation in Jan that she did receive the SI form! Strange Huh!

Due to non payment (for Citibank’s fault), bank have levied late payment charges despite of resending the written confirmation back to her/them along with new SI form. I have spent hours over phone & emails explaining them this situation however it seems they are just trying to hide the fact that they lost the form or didn’t pass on to their colleagues and now covering it up. Now, I am after refund of those late payment charges and a written apology from them on this entire episode. I have lodged the complaints with their complaints cell (Julio.[protected]@citi.com) and seriously considering taking this matter to consumer court if they deny my rights. The proof suggesting that they received the SI form is very much legal and is acceptable in honourable court.
