[Resolved]  Columbia Asia Hospital, Yeshwantpur, Bangalore — poor reception inside the hospital

It has been 3 months since i have moved from chennai to bangalore. I have been an airtel customer for past 3 years both at chennai and bangalore. I have had extremely good experience with the company at chennai. unfortunately, since I moved to Columbia Asia Referral Hospital, yeshwanthpur, I along with a lot of my colleagues have great difficulty in getting calls as well as SMS due to poor reception of signals in and around the hospital. This makes it difficult for anyone to contact us doctors who are in the hospital. Even Vodafone users had the same problem, but the company has sorted out the issue by providing boosters. Hope AIRTEL also can help all the doctors, staff and patients of columbia asia referral hospital by providing similar boosters.

Dear Sir,

SUB:- Complaint

My mother namely Mrs.SYEDA SADATHUNNISA (MRNo.71259) have dermatological problem and hence I took her for consultation to your hospital on[protected]. The case was handled by your dermatologist Dr. SUDHA V.

She gave some prescriptions as per the bill No. OP-300732 dated[protected] at 11:08:35 hrs. Instead of relief, the prescribed medicine has aggravated her skin disease and hence I wanted to talk to you and called your hospital on 41791000. Ms. Chaya on duty has picked up the call and when I asked to talk to you, she was very discourteous on line saying I have to speak to the marketing manager first. I agreed and she connected to him and no response after making me holding so long. When I once again called her and asked for your e-mail Id or hospital E-Mail Id. She replied it is not within her knowledge.

How can a Hi-tech hospital of this reputation have this kind of staff?

Why should your patients pay such heavy consultation fees for deficient services?

We have remaining medicines with us being bought from your pharmacy. Please be fair enough to refund the consultation fees and the unused medicines.

Please acknowledge the receipt of this communication.

With best regards,

Sub: Privacy Abuse in Columbia Asia Hospital - Yeshwantpur, Bangalore

Few months back, I had admitted my wife for her delivery and for privacy reasons, we selected a single room instead of a twin-room which cost Rs3400 per day. Though the doctors and the nurses were very good and competetant, it was the other hospital staffs like security department, shaving department and food department who lacked the common sense to respect the customer's privacy.
The hospital lacks a separate ward for Gynecology alone and the hospital rooms do not have locks. Therefore, the male staffs from the Security Department, Shaving department and Food department who should not be allowed entry in gynecology department, just knocks the door twice and enters spontaneously into the patient's room without waiting for a response. What if the patient was changing dress or feeding the baby or coming out from the loo..? These above mentioned male staffs come
from a lower educational background and lacks the social skills required. Therefore, the administration department should make sure to train them appropriately. And what about the consequences...? The patient is left embarrassed and ill-respected with an experience that she and her family will never forget. Moreover, the hospital administration did nothing to console the customer or to make the experience any less bad. The customer on the other hand has the right to take this matter to the court, however just has taken an oath never to come back or recommend the same hospital to anyone.
i m very heppy that i worked such a excellent hospital like columbia asia hebbal, realy it god blessing that i worked in this hospital, this hospital is giving good pt. care

Hospital — Non response of Staffs

As my wife get delivered at PHC Barakhama, Orissa but they did not provided the Janani Surakhya Yojana Amount in prescribed period. After 2 months i got the money by giving my presence twice a day. it is vary sad thing that if any one will come from far way how much trobules he will face as it is a interior area. For getting 1400/- he will spend more than it if he will a outsider. No one is responding for it and simply they are pushing that.
We paid Rs.3200-00, and carried out a complete medical check up. You have to pay the money in advance. Once you pay the money, then you are on the road.

First mediacl officer, a lady- really horrible

Second stage - all tests, blood, urine, X ray, scanning, etc - After paying Rs. 3200-00, no priority, stand in the que with the OPD patients, 4 hrs.

Third stage - consultations with so called professionals.

There is one Gynacologist, Dr.POORNIMA RAMESH -

She is the worst docot, I ver seen in my life, a doctor in the remote village is far better. She didn't touch me, just glanced througn the reports, and says OK. I waited for 2 hrs to meet her.

When I was waiting, a patient told me about her horrified experience about this lady doctor. During here delivery, she got a call in betwen, and she left the patient and start attending the call. The result is the wrong stiches.

If you want to do justice to these medical check ups, pls visit WOCKARDT HOSPITAL.

Really horrible experience.

God should save this hospital
hi
dear
Dear Sir/Madam,

I have gone through all the complaints/appreciations/Comments about the hospital.Being an experianced person in the field of Hospital industry I prefer to look into the issues in a detailed way so that you should get the remaining part of the Ice-burge.The matters regarding the courtsy of lower level staff like security persons, shaving department etc. i feel the need of basic training and evaluation of it should be conducted on a continual basis rather than limiting it in induction period training. The name of the Hospital in its size and quality of treatments granded to public in the industry is as far as i know is very high, and even with some small or rectifiable complaints like this will yeild a negative wave in the idustry.I had'nt found any rectification reply's from Hospital Authorities even after one of the issue in this blog was directly pointing out the inefficiancy of the management.
excuse me sir, first you p-rovide your addres in your website... then you ask complaints from the viewers.

I agree with the lady referring about Dr Poornima Ramesh, she brings the entire medical profession to shame with her attitude towards the patients in her eagerness to earn money. Shame on you Poornima

Respected Sir,

Please take stringent action immediately after completion of this reading.

Aligning in-charges and evening duty staff coming on the same time at 12 noon, acting in-charges are not doing night duties, normal duty staff are doing in place of them, Man power is less of 5 in-charges in one ICU because of that normal staffs are not getting proper off.

In February BABU was not done any night duties and March GNANA did only 3 night shifts.

VINEETHA, DHANYA, SAM, BENNY, TIITTY THOMAS, ELDHO, PETES, MOHINISH, ASWATHY - These people are doing more than ten night duties its not mentioned in the duty rota.

SHAFEEQ - got a big mental torcher regarding annual leave in month of April, because of incharge communication gap.

Cashy 3c standards - they are not following 4 staffs, how they will follow the PT.

Prior duty rota is not following by daily in-charges, changing the duty rota daily as their wish.

some people are getting more offs (in-charge post sick acting ) JOHN

5 in-charges are in same department.

double duties/more night duties/pending off

partially for male & female staffs( especially in sick)

staffs are doing extra nights, but it is not mentioned in duty rota( Sir/Madam pls check the SICU allocation book then only you will came to know)

Staffs are not getting AL/CL for their necessities.

Morning and evening duty T/L in SICU are refusing to take patients, But night T/L should take care of everything.

tone of the general shift duty staff was doing shift duties till march 31 st.( According policy general shift is not followed by RANI MATHEW)

Mental torturing of staffs are more because of 4 in-charges are there in one dept.

All ICU staffs wants to conduct meeting for only with GM Binu sharma.

Equipment cleaning to be done morning with supervision of in-charge by nursing aid.

taking help from another department by nursing staff only from biomedical cleaning.

MICU - Sunija no night duties last month.

she takes more leaves help from one of the in-charge.

Thanks & Regards
Chanti
Can you please send my wife's MRI Report to my email ID? Patients Name: Mrs. Ammini Sekar

Thank you
Had the worst experience ever! Got swine flu from there for no fault, and had to stand in long lines with the stupid staff chatting away! On top of everything, the emergency doctor was an amateur rude careless Dr. Srini, who, inspire of knowing I had high risk flu, yet postponed my medication and then denied it the very next day! The God damn hospital didn't even medicines for emergency high risk patients! The worst cheapest most pathetic hospital I've ever seen! I'm never going there again, ever! If they were in the US, I could have sued that stupid doctor and the hospital for such carelessness that almost costed me my life!
