I am facing a problem that for last four months DHBVNL has been randomly sending me astronomical high bills without meter reading.
For last two years my average consumption is in range of 330 KWH. But in Apr’12, I was shocked to find my consumption reported as whopping 2640 KWH. My bill jumped from Rs.4,000 to Rs.15,000.
On visiting Gurgaon Kanhai office I was told my meter has become faulty. I was assured that it’s a random bill and it will be adjusted after my meter is repaired. I paid this bill and purchased a new meter for Rs.5,000 and paid testing fee etc and got my meter replaced.
But in June’12 again my bill was 16,000/-. Again no reading. Today I got my Aug’12 bill and its again Rs. 9,000/-.
Now I have already paid Rs. 31,000 as electricity bill and spend over Rs.6,000 in meter replacement. And am thinking of hiring a lawyer and go to court against this harassment.
