REMINDER - 2
[protected]--
Dear Sir,
Earlier in the first week of Oct,2009 I have lodged my under mentioned complaint against the excess recovery of income tax from my pension by the income tax authorities of CPPC - SBI - Mumbai. So far no action has been taken to refund my execess recovered IT from my pension. Hence I would like to remind you again to treat my complaint as most urgent and kindly do the needful for credit of execess recovered IT in my SB A/C of SBI Branch - Kalpakkam - TN.

Dear Sir,

Sub : Recovery of excess income tax from my pension -
Ref : 1.My PPO No.[protected]
2.My SB A/C No.[protected] existing at SBI Branch - Kalpakkam - TN

I am a retired employee of Department of Atomic Energy Kalpakkam 603102, Tamil Nadu drawing my pension vide above mentioned PPO (ref.1) through my SB A/C (ref.2). I would like to bring to your notice that the income tax authorities of CPPC - SBI - Mumbai have recovered a sum of Rs.21,733 as income tax from my pension in the month of Sept,2009 with indication as recovery against my pension arrears.
In the month of Aug,2009 I have received my commuted lump sum amount of Rs.1,81,514 along with my pension arrears which is reflected as huge arrears in the statement. It seems that the IT authorities of CPPC - SBI - Mumbai have included also the commuted amount for calculation of income tax instead of exemption from income tax as per income tax rules.
Further I state that my pension income with arrears per annum may not exceed the income tax limit and perhaps if it exceeds also the relevant income tax may not be this much high I was shocked to see this and put me in mental agony.
Hence may I request you Sir, kindly do the needful for the favourable action to refund the excess recovered income tax and may be credited in my SB A/C and relieve me from my mental agony.
Thanking you.

Yours faithfully
