[Resolved]  Dish TV — Atrocious - in everything!

Guess by now its a known thing that Dish TV customer service is a like a blackhole!! Another instance of proof is here. Check out the events as they unfold!

1. About 5-6 days back - my DishTV VC is due for renewal in about 2 days
2. Dish TV keeps pumping messages to my mobile on Ugadi offer!
3. 4 days back someone from Dish TV Dealer calls me up and asks about my renewal asking me how do i renew. When I tell them that I do it on the net, I am told that the Ugadi offer will not work if we recharge through the net! I keep harping how can that be, but I keep getting the same answer!! So finally, the great executive says she will send someone to pick up cash. Cheque?? "no sir... it will then take 4 days to activate"!! WOW...I give up and tell her - "Ok madam.. send your guy I will pay cash". And, how do I verify the guy is from your company?". am told "sir.. he will give you receipt"!! uh!! good enuf?? anywayz...
4. Next 2 days pass by - no sign of the guy.. I call this lady again.. am told "sir.. he was not there.. he was absent.. bla bla bla.."will send tomorrow..
5. Tomorrow comes in this case. but the guy doesn't!! Meanwhile a guy calls up from DishTV company itself! About the same subject!! He tells me he would send a guy and I can pay by cheque (which is more convenient compared to cash!) - no problems! And he says, in any case (cash/cheque/...), the channels (which by now have almost gone dead) will be reactivated within 4 hours! Even he confirms that if we pay through net, the offer doesn't work!
6. Another day passes.. no sign of this guy also!! Meanwhile the lady calls up asking whether she can send the person (and by the way I had forgotten!! this lady gives a totally different amount for 1 year subsrciption from what our guy from the COMPANY gives!!). I tell her - "madam.. the guy from the company is coming and he is ready to take the cheque and reactivate within 4 hrs.. why cant u?".. "No sir.. if it is cheque its 4 days... and i[censored] are giving cash i will send someone"... "then let the company exec come madam"...
4. hmmm... i keep waiting for this elusive guy! and meanwhile start calling up the bangalore customer care (uhh..its actually "customer, who cares!!!") number and the toll-free #... i keep calling.. keep calling.. 10.. 20 .. 30.. 40..50.. 100.. >100.. still cannot reach!!! I dont know who on earth can reach these numbers!!!
5. Another day-and-a-half passes. I logon to dishtv website... try to send a complaint.. submit..submit..submitt... 15 times.. uh.. 500.internal server error.. !!! WOW.. And again I try to go through the recharge scenario... the offer thing must be hidden somewhere.. i cant see it at least.. and.. the user interface!! wow..need to get a part of Einstein's brain to understand!!
6. I now call up some Chennai number... and voila.. it connects! (mind you - its not a toll free # :-) ).. and someone comes on the line and I tell her about the experience till now...! She says "no sir... the offer is valid with all payment modes..."!! Uh!! I reconfirm.. "Yes sir" comes the answer..! OK.. "madam.. pls stay on line then while I recharge through the net, i can't understand the interface" .. patt.. comes the reply "sir.. for that u have to go to website.. then select this ..bla bla.. and then this and then this and then this.. finally it will ask u for the amount"... uh!! whether it is Website's user interface or the executive's user-interface (i mean communication).. I get the point that they are well in sync! and then i get on to the website.. heloo heloo.. madam is gone...!!

And I spend another half an hour to pour out all these!! Hmm... 3 questions in my mind now -
1. Should I have gone for Tata sky?
2. Should I just dump DishTv and go for Tata Sky?
3. Or just go back to good-old cable??????????????
