I had purchased Dish TV on 28 November 2005, and since then I was subscribing for it. As per the company conditions, if I surrender the Antenna System after 5 years from purchase, I am supposed to get back my security deposit of Rs.2,490/-; as the same is guaranteed in the receipt given to me. Three months back, I discussed the matter with Dish TV customer care and I was instructed to forward copy of the receipt via E mail. On 29 Nov 2010, I applied for surrender of Security Deposit as per the procedure they asked me to do. The DISH TV Customer care assured me that it will be resolved within 45 working days; but now the period is beyond that specified time. I reminded them about the matter many times in between after that period, but till now I didn't get back my money. I am attaching the copy of receipt, my phone number is [protected]. May I request your office to kindly look in to the matter and do the needful at the earliest. I further request that DISHTV may please be asked to pay me a compensation equal to 40 times the amount of Security Deposit for the cost of negligence and carelessness from their end towards the customers.
Yours faithfully,
P Sathyamohanan.
