I have been using the DishTV for around 2 years now. What I have noticed that level of services for DISHTV has been going down.

I had opted for an upgrade from Standard STB to DishTV TRUHD. I applied for a request to customer care number after an wait for 25 mins and dialing 10-15 numbers on 4th March 2011.

Even after 3 days i didt not received any calls from DishTV, i called them again to know the status of the call (I provided the token number as well). I was informed that I will get the new HD STB at 11.30 AM next day. But even after waiting for 2 more days I did not received the box, I called the number which was sent to me on SMS. After a lot of conversation I finally got the box delivered to me on 10th March.
But the main problem started after that, As I am existing customer I was thinking that it will be just plugin the new box and activate the new VC, but i was told that an engineer will come for survey and will do the installation in 24-48hrs. I waitied till 13th March, but still no one turned up from the SD Services, which were suppose to do the installation. I got hold of an DISHTV employee, who then called the SD Services and I got a call back in 5 minutes(Person called Mr. Sunil). I was given the time of 2.30 PM of 14th March but till 9.30 in night I did not received any call from engineer or from SD. Then I again rang up DishTV employee, which again turned out to be a beamer and i got a call back from SDServices with the engineer (Mr. Ajay) on conference.

Next morning at the given time he was at my gates, he did the installation and i made the new HD connection a child connection of my existing connection and package. I was informed that it will be activated in 2 hrs, and it worked, I paid him the balance amount of 1530 Rs on asking the receipt I did not get anything and was told that it will be sure activated. But now since yesterday i.e. 17th March my both the connection are down and asking me for renewal. My parent connection was vaild till 25th of April 2011 and new HD connection had a free package for 2 months.

I tried recharging it online, and as usual the dishtv.in is the slowest site i have ever visited. I filled all the required process and made payment twice, as i didt not get any reply and wanted to get the connection activated. In my account now i can see both of them are still pending (of amount 3500 each).

I mailed to the customer care and i was told that it takes 24-48 hrs to get the status updated for online payments. and in regards to the HD connection i was told that my new VC number is not activated yet(after viewing/using it for 2 days). And the SAF(Subscription Application Form) is not submitted to activate the connection. I provided them all the details that SAF was taken by the SD Service Engineer, and I only have the last page copy of it. They asked me to send a Scan copy of same, as I do not have a scanning facility at home, i sent them a photo of the form.

Then I was told that its not clear please submit a clear copy of SAF so that we can update and activate same.

It has been a worst experince, even after paying the full payment and offer 2 months free subscription I am not able to enjoy the connection.

I want to know what can i do, and how can i get it sorted out earliest. As tomorrow is HOLI and most office will be closed and then its sunday monday. I most chance I will miss next INDIA cricket match (for what i bought an HD connection).

    I had one normal dish tv connection until a few months back. Then i made the terrible mistake of choosing dishtv for 2 additional add-on accounts, one HD and one normal again. I was told the add-on account will be charged at about 180Rs a month while the parent account will be charged at 360Rs(approx). After a few months I upgraded one of the accounts to HD, it took atleast 6-7 days to get an HD box as i was told the same were not in stock. Finally after some wait i got the new HD box and now i had 2 HD accounts and 1 normal account. The dish tv service guy assured me that the accounts were properly setup and I will be paying full price for the parent account and about half price for the 2 add-on accounts. I paid for all the accounts to last a few months. But just after one or two months i got a message on my mobile and on the tv screen saying the top up was over and i needed to recharge. On enquire and after making several calls i came to know that the account were all being charged at full price and i was not being given any discount for the add-on or child accounts as originally promised.

    Anyway, this time the technician told me that the account will be setup properly this time and the correct amount will be charged, and i should pay some more money to get my account working, which I did, and the services were resumed. Not for very long though, after a few days the same happened again. 1 of the HD tv's gave a message to recharge again and within a day the services were barred. at the same time the other HD box stopped working. I called up customer service to send for a technician, who did arrive after 1-2 days and this time reported a problem with one of the HD boxes and said it need to be repaired, so he toook it away with him. This was almost a month ago, he said it will take 2 days to get it fixed and they will return it. we have made close to 10-15 calls to customer care, and have tried to get in touch with the agent who took the HD box, but their office does not answer the phone anymore, initially they did reply and made excuses and once even promised they are sending the device that same day by 4pm, but no one came. the next day when we called we were told the box was still not repaired.

    I had made a payment on 27th january, which was collected by local agent's representative, for which i was issued a reciept. I had paid 1500 Rs. This payment has till date not been credited. As per customer care, the last payment received from my end was in december. The local agent's office is unable to trace the payment after repeated requests, we called atleast 10-15 times and even lodged a complaint with the customer care for both the agents(one who took our HD box and the one who took off with the money) we have lodged the complaint regarding both the agents atleast on two separate occasion. nothing has been done about that either. its been more than 3 weeks.

    After going through so much I decided to visit the agent's office who took the money and never credited to my account. On asking the reason why they decided to ignore our calls or did not revert back to our calls as promised, all we got was "i'm sorry i forgot to reply back'. from their office i got the number of the local area incharge, or someone senior who could deal with this, from what I understood. He said the issue will be resolved very soon and he will revert back in a few hours, which he did not. So i called him on the mobile phone provided. so he said the technician will be at our home to return the HD box by 4PM. and guess what... bingo, no one came.. So i called him again, no answer, tried a few time, no answer, tried from a different number and I got an answer immediately. (I need more numbers) so this time he acted surprised that the HD box was not installed back. and assured he will get back to me in 2 minutes, (he'll ask someone to contact me in 2 minutes) its been 2 days and i'm still waiting for the 2 minutes to be over.

    Now I have one TV working fine, one which has no service, and one without a HD box. Its Cricket world cup season and I have 2 TV's with a satellite signal.

    I do not have the contact number of the right person to complain to, therefore I am posting it here.

      I am a dishtv(dishtv.in) subscriber. My paid subscription ended on 12/03/2011. I do not like to recharge and for the time being I wish to continue viewing only free-to-air channels that are broadcasted by Dooradarshan using my existing Set-Top-Box. I successfullyconfigured the STB to recieve dd-direct+ channels but after one minute or so, an error message pops up and says "contact[protected]" and then no channel can be viewed. So it is obvious that dishtv is blocking my STB so that I can't view free cahnnels without paying them. This is clear violation of TRAI(Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) rules and regulations.

      T.R.A.I rules and regulations(please refer to http://www.trai.gov.in/WriteReadData/trai/upload/Regulations/69/regulation31aug0... clearly states in page-6 of the PDF document:

      "Prohibition to disable Direct To Home Set Top Boxes----- In case the dth subscriber does not owe any dues to a dth operator, such operator shall not disable the dth set-top-box of such subscriber who does not intend to continue to opt or avail dth services offered by such dth operator and uses or intend to use the dth customer premises equipment for viewing the dth services of Dooradarshan or any other dth operator"

      I sent a mail complaining about this to dishtv customer care(please refer to previous communications below). Dishtv customer care replied: "Please note that you will not get free to air channels if your VC is in deactive status kindly make the payment to get dishtv service without any interruption."
      Then I sent a mail to Mr. Anindya Bose (Dishtv nodal officer for West Bengal, I found the mail id from: www.dishtv.in/Resources/NodalOfficer.pdf). I kept [protected]@trai.gov.in and [protected]@trai.gov.in in cc. I am still waiting for a a reply from him.

      "contact[protected]". I am using Arion AF-5010SCI STB. In the dishtv user
      manual on page 10 it has been clearly written "*If any smartcard or CI
      module is not inserted in the STB only free-to-air-channels are available*".
      I removed the smart card but still can't view any free-to-air channel.

      Please let me know how to continue viewing free-to-air channels.

      I do not owe any due to Dishtv and wish to use the STB to view only FTA channels. But DishTv, as a DTH operator is barring me to do so and demanding subscription to view FTA channels. Please note that, this is a direct violation of TRAI rules and regulations and I request to you to take necessary action to correct this fault on your part such such that I can continue to view FTA cahnnels that are broadcasted by Dooradarshan as "DD direct+".

      In short my main complains are:

      a)Dishtv has locked the set-top-box so that I can not use the STB with dth service providers other than dishtv. I can not even use the STB to receive free-to-air cahnnels broadcast by Dooradrashan.

      b)False promise: In the dishtv manual that dishtv provided me at the time of subscription, it has been clearly written, "If any smartcard or CI module is not inserted in the STB only free-to-air-channels are available", which is nothing but a false promise. I removed the smart card but no free-to-air channels are there. The screen goes black and an error message says "Insert smart card".



      Authorities at consumercomplaints.in, I request you to please look into the matter and take necessary actions to force dishtv to abide by TRAI rules and regulations. The problem I described above is not only mine, crores of dth subscribers are facing this problem.

      Doordarshan Dish TV — Need Operator to installation

      We brought Door dashan's dish antano from our parent home i.e. in TV Malai district. But we don't know to install that one. So we need operator to install the same.

      Dish TV — not receiving channels due to set top box

      I am from goa n am the subscriber of dish tv fr last one year n i have experience the poorest service from their call centres n other sms services, its r jus for sharukh khan to make an advertisement to fool the innocent people, the call centre people r just fooling n disconnects d calls with xcuses, now last 4 months i m not able to recive some channels even i being the subcriber of Rs 300/ package n i being complaining through my cell by sms in registered service n this cheat people r not bothered, they r concern to pay sharukh khan to fool the people, even dish tv has a poor range even in town area, the help lines are hard to get n sms services are jus for name sake n formality of promoting dish tv .i say that atlast dish tv is like that reliance n tata mobile services to fool people, i have decide now to appear bfore the consumer forumn atlast.plzzzz advice me how to solve my problem of geting this channels or i atlast again have to switch back to cable conection.

      dish tv. (set top box) — receiving only two channels not the whole set, i had paid

I had already renewed my DishTV Subscription and had been paid for next eight months.but my network connection is almost zero, I dont know that why i am not getting my paid channels. TODAY itself i am recieving two channels for ur dish t.v why so, ? and i had also make call on ur customer no. but... no body is giving any response, means the response is zero . if soon, i am getting any response, i will drag u all, ur dealer or whole company in the consumer court .

      Dish TV — not viewig chanels after 15 days of full paymaent

      I was viewing golden pack. 15vdays ago i recharged platinum pack. but till now i m receiving only golden pack channels. my vc no. is [protected]

        I had recharge my DishTV DTH through netbanking Via www.rechargeitnow.com gateway on[protected] for Rs.250 and they send me the Order No.: R[protected], but i didnt got any recharge till now in my DTH account (VC.No:[protected]). My bank account got debited but my account didnt got the amount of Rs.250, for proof of payment i am enclosing a scaned copy of my bank statement. When i am contacted to Dish TV they said that we didnt received any amount. When i explained the above situation then they given a reference numbers for each time when i contacted, i am furnishing the reference numbers below.

          I am antony nirmal from chennai.I purchased DISHTV HD by believing their lastest advertisements
          They advertised by providing 30 HD channnels,but i got only 8 channels in HD quality other HD channels
          with normal quality.They suggested to purchase the package for other HD channels i also did that
          After that also most of the HD channels coming with nomal quality.

          I raised a complaint on 09/03/11 - Got a SMS alert like such technician will attend on this date and this time
          Nobody did nt approrach and got SMS like the complaint is resolved

          I escalated daily with new complaint numbers and getting the above is happpening on each day.

          If we ask the local service centre no from the stupid customer care peope,they give some number and
          that is not working or nobody picking up the phone

          There is no physcical office in any of the city to express our feelings,We are paying our own money and
          wasting our time due to the irresponsible people

          Even if we ask the higher authorities numbers,these stupids is not giving

            The quality of service in dish has taken a nose drive. or the last 3 weeks I have been calling up their service line requesting them to send me a technician who can fix my dish antenna.
            Below is the sequence of events in chronological order
            1. For the first two call, we were told that the service technician will arrive in 1-2 days but nobody turned up.
            Complaint numbers 55038483 , 55144188 & 55475660
            2. In both the cases, I got SMS from DishTV specifying the name of the technician who will arrive plus the local number to call in case of any issues. The number is[protected]. When I called that number, they specified that they don’t provide service to my locality (Salt Lake) but they provided another number[protected]. I tried this number numerous times but nobody picked up. Subsequently I got SMS that said my complained registered has been addressed and now marked closed in the system.
            3. When I again call up, to register a new complaint, they service line refused to give me the complaint number over the phone saying it will reach me via SMS. That never happened. I also tried the number given in on DishTV website for Eastern India:[protected] and got the message that incoming facility to this number has been discontinued.
            4. I called up again & spoke to service personnel “Sikha Sharma”, ID 147 whose supervisor is Mr. Piyush but she apparently doesn’t know his supervisor's employee id since she is a trainee. She mentioned that she has marked by new complaint as high priority and the same will be attended to within 24 hrs but now more than 3 days have passed and no technician turned up. Also she put in on hold numerous times during the conversation and finally when I asked for the complaint number she put me on hold for a prolonged period of time after which the call got disconnected. Next day I got a phone from a technician who said that my complaint has reached them and but they are not sure if they will be able to attend. They are trying to see if some other group can help me etc. After that I heard back nothing. The Complaint number finally reached me via sms 55475660 after 4 more days
            5. The last time that I called up, I spoke to service personnel Babita who said that my last complaint number[protected] had already been closed & that she was reopening it. She promised that someone from DISHTV would call me in 2 hours time & someone would definitely visit me in the next 24 hours. I never heard back anything from DISHTV
            It is obvious Dish is not interested to provide service to its subscriber or I don’t know what the issue is.
            Anyway, I have decided to shift to a different DTH provider since there is no dearth of the same in the market and also will pass on this pathetic experience I had with Dish to all everybody to who my feedback matters.
            I want to terminate my membership immediately. Since I have made payment till July, I want the advance payment that I have made be returned to me.
            Expecting that consumer forum will look into this

            Its a valid thing you should expect from DishTV as they are not concerned about the customer's complaints/wish. What they know is "Make much money out of this and provide poor service" People will be in a state CAN'T STAY or CAN'T LEAVE !!!

                I Gitika Nayak reacharge my dish tv account no. [protected] for Rs.470[gold+colours] for two month. But amount credited to my acc. is Rs.235 what happen to the rest amount.

                AS you are advertizing free recharge in tv, I recharged my package vide receipt no.UR-27/01/09IG[protected] for ACE Commnication., but mr.Anjani Kumar, M.No. [protected], recharged me by old coupons of Rs 777/ and lied me for free recharge.Now he is giving me false assurences that it will be activitated soon.Who will be responsible for this type of cheating in DISH TV.

                we have taken a new dishtv subscription about four days ago and none of channels are working.. we are vey dissappointed.we had contact our dish tv dealer but no response from his side.
                Last week, water started coming from the DishTV cable connected to the STB.
                I called up the service centre and the DishTV serviceman came to my house a day after registering the complain after calling more than 20 times.
                He charged me Rs.1460 for changing the cable and the STB and refused to give a payment receipt, the replaced STB also stopped functioning after an hour and from then onwards they have replaced my STB twice but all were in the same condition and now the STB is with them and they say that they cannot do anything because the company is not providing them with a new STB.
                I want quick solution to my problem.

                After several complaints &amp;amp; paying 1160/- to the technician, sent by Dish TV Nagpur team nothing has been done. We already paid for the subscription for the whole year in advance. We asked for the refund of the subscription fees+ 1160/- so we can subscribe with some other company, they are not willing to do anything .
                The technician couldn&#039;t do anything &amp;amp; was calling to different people &amp;amp; asking them to help him over the phone.
                Later he said the salary Dish.TV is paying to the technician, they can only afford amateurs like him.
                Zero Customer service .
                It&#039;s disappointing &amp;amp; shame .

                  1. i capt mayank bhardwaj had bought a 32" samsung lcd with which i got an offer of free dish-tv hd. with vc no.[protected] i got it registered in dishtv customer care on monday 07/03/11, who gave me response no. 55365370 but till date the connection has not been installed at my place.
                  2. i have called up many a times at customer care( details - on 10/03/11 at 1731h and 1744h, on 11/03/11 at 1843h) of which the recorded conversations may be a proof. Though the company claims to install it in 72hr but in my case it has been 144h. i do not know what to do, now, whom to contact, and hw to reimburse the money i hav spent on calling numerous person, so that i can enjoy the dish.
                  3. today on 12/03/11 as a last resort i spoke to mr.eric samuel at 1137h the dishtv head at pune, but today also it was not installed though the representatives kept on calling and gave assurances of it

                    I have faced the following issue with M/S. Sima Enterprise, which is an authorized Dealer of Dishtv. I want the consumer forum also to be aware of it and requesting the forum to help me.

                    Hello DishTV Customer care,

                    I am writing this mail on behalf of Mrs. Paramita Bhattacharya who is a DishTV connection holder (VC #: [protected]). She bought the connection from M/S Sima Enterprise, Address - 3A- Naya Patty Road, Ground Floor, Kolkata - 700055, Phone No :[protected]. She was not getting some of the Bengali channels today and gave a call to M/S Sima Enterprise. They replied very rudely to the old lady and said that they will not come today at any cost as they are busy. They did not even take the complaint and asked her to call tomorrow as they will take the complaint tomorrow only. They had taken more than Rs. 150 as AMC and no receipts were given back to her as well.

                    I, Hillol Mukherjee (Son-in-law of Mrs. Paramita Bhattacharya) then lodged a complaint against M/S Sima Enterprise in dishtv customer care through call. The complaint number is 55575166.

                    I then gave a call to M/S Sima Enterprise and told them about the complaint that I have lodged, expecting this time they will be active enough to take corrective actions but on the contrary they replied me that they just don't bother about any complaint as nothing will be happening to them.

                    Mrs. Paramita Bhattacharya sent an sms also to 57575 on the issue and received a call from the technical team. Surprisingly the person called did not know Bengali. He could speak only in Hindi and English.

                    Now I want following points to be cleared from your end:

                    How does an authorized dealer of Dishtv speaks to an aged customer in such rough and dirty language?
                    How does an authorized dealer of Dishtv say that in spite of the complaints nothing will be done against them? Do you want me to think that irrespective of repeated complaints no actions are taken against the dealers of Dishtv and all the customer oriented commitments given by Dishtv are fake?
                    If a call has been given from Dishtv technical team why doesn't a Bengali person gives a call to the customer? If there is a communication gap due to lack of knowledge in language then who should take corrective action; the customer or the service provider? Moreover don't you find it strange that not even a single technician of your company knows Bengali? Then why have you launched your business in Kolkata?
                    We are not at all happy with the service of Dishtv and don't even see and endeavor from your end to improve the same. Unlimited power has been given to the dealers and due that they have started behaving so badly with the customers, and they don't even consider the age of the person as well. There is no control of the Dishtv over the dealers as well.

                    I have already recharged my account for 2 months so I will have to continue with the service for coming 2 months. After that I will be shifting to Tata Sky as I could see the customers of Tata Sky are very happy with their service and behavior. If the Dishtv people have any small amount of zeal to serve customer better then I want strong actions to be taken by the authority or else I would suggest Dishtv to stop earning business through fooling people.

                    Dish T.V Authorized Dealer - SIMA ENTERPRISE — Connection problem .

                    My self Arindam Khan from Kolkata - Dumdum is facing the problem continuously after connecting the Dish T.V Set Top Box & Antena. During first installation the person came to install had done the mistake to install and after repeated telephonic conversation with dealer the new person came and install it again but not as I wish. Since then I was facing the troubles. Problem gones to extreme from 01.05.08, because on the said day I have recharge with ITZ Card but still I am not able to see the channels committed to DISH T.V. I called the Dealer several times to come & sort out the problem but they havn't come. I made a phone call to the customer care as well as Zee T.V but no body has given me the exact solution. If this continues why I bear the extra cost of Telephone as well as the waste of the money for the day from 01.05.08 to today's date. at this juncture I don't want this type of entertainment media who brings the extra burden to the family person.The person from Dealer M/s Sima Enterprise ( 3 A - Naya Patty Road, Ground Floor, Kolkata - 700055.                       I had recently purchased a Samsung 32" LED which has a Dishtv HD Setup Box free along with it. I was given a voucher of the Dishtv connection and was told to call up the Dishtv Customer Care referring to the Voucher Pin. I had placed a complaint 4days back and the installation of the Setup box is not yet done. When I call up the Customer Care, they keep saying that I would be getting a call back within 2hours from them with the information on when they would drop in and do the installation. I'm really having hard time with the Dishtv's Service.

                      I have the exact same problem. I have been wating since March 3rd with a TV sitting idle at home

                      The customer care guys are absolutely useless and cannot do anything other that say they will install- I am giving them one more day and going with TATA sky. Learnt the lesson that free offers are a waste of my time and realized that if dishtv customer service for a new customer is like this what would it be when I become a subscriber?
                      Even i am joining this sufferers club. I have been waiting since March 15th.

                      DishTv is taking very light regarding these samsung tv related connections. Very pathatic customer support.
                      Even i am suffering with same issue. I have taken Samsung LED TV 3 weeks back and sitting infront of it IDLE.

                      When they can't mange they shouldn't offer.

                      Installation completed 5 days back after making 10 calls to them. Now i am facing issue with ACTIVATION.

                      I was unable to give the hard copy to the person who came for installation, so as per his suggestion sent soft copy.

                      My connection is not activated yet, even though installation is completed 5 days back.

                      I have made several calls to your customer care and sent ID and Address Proof soft copies along with SAF, VC and STB numbers to [protected]@dishtv.in.

                      When I call up the Customer Care, they keep saying that it will be resolved in 24 hours.

                      I even mailed to Hyderabad region Nodal Officer, I didn't get even response to my mail from him.

                      God knows when mine will be activated.I will see for one more day and i will through the Setup Box out of my home.

                        I have been using DishTV Services for the last 5 years, and I faced a problem. But Since I bought DISHTV HD in Oct '2010. (STB no. 1072ABR26DS04299, VC No. [protected] from Mr Rakesh Tonk(self proclaimed DISHTV HD Dealer / Service Engineer – ph. no. [protected], [protected]), I am facing some problems with that and Supplier/Engineer but not helping me, rather he is harassing me.
                        He has not fixed LNB in proper way (I think, intentionally). About every evening, some channels lose signal. I am suffering from paralytic attack, so my speech is not clear so my wife used to call him but he is so rude and ill mannered that my wife doesn’t want to call him. Whenever I call, either he doesn’t listen to or say “Tomorrow I will come” but that tomorrow never comes. This is his attitude. It is after one month of regular telephoning (no reply) that I am forced to complain. Actually he waits for two months to get over so that he can charge money from us.
                        Firstly he gave me a defective set top box and he convinced (though wrongly) about the accessories (He did not give a composite cable saying “if you connect your TV using HDMI cable, then it is not to you” {which I think is wrong.}, because the box mentions in its CONTENTS).The set top box worked fine for first two months, but after two months I have to take out the card and put that in regularly, say about once every two weeks.
                        I have another connection DISHTV. At the time of purchase, he told me that DISHTV HD will automatically be my primary connection, but it is not done till date. He has not changed my LNB till date. Please send me replacement LNB through courier and help me out.
                        Here a brief description of his SERVICE :
                        After my numerous phone calls, he paid me a visit on 01-Mar-11, and promised to change LNB the day after tomorrow i.e. 03-Mar-11.
                        On the 4th evening I again called up him and he told me that “I am in Una, I will definitely come to you tomorrow (i.e. 05-Mar-11).”
                        On 6th evening I again called him and he told my wife that “I will reach you today evening or tomorrow morning (i.e. 07-Mar-11 morning).”
                        On 8th evening when I called him, he hid behind a lady relative of his, and prompted her to say that he was not home and had gone to attend some marriage and would come after 3-4 days.

                        You must look into this matter immediately and promptly and seriously. Make him understand that Goodwill of product grows on “Quality of Service”.
                        If this is way he is going to provide me service, then please ask him to take back DishTV HD Set top box and refund my money. I may go for a different service altogether. If this is attitude and way of service, I will be forced to my plight into Consumer Forum / Police Station.
                        Today is 10th March, and he has not changed my LNB (required to view HD Channels).

                          I have a platinum package of Dish TV and also have taken an AMC for the services of Rs/400 per year.The start date of the AMC is 11/10/10 and valid upto 11/10/11.

                          I had lodged a complaint about no reception due to defective sttop box vide reference no.s
                          46715533 of 8th march 11 and again on 9th march ref no. 55439421.The DCC of Dehradun R.A traders and Engineers had collected the set top box and taken it for repairs at 1800hrs of 8th March 2011. and till 1800 hrs of today i.e 9th March they have not returned with repaired set top box .On calling them at [protected] they say that they have a software problem and no spare set top box and that all their technicains are in the field and they will try to replace it tomorrow i.e 10th march 2011.

                          I do not understand the meaning of AMC and charges of Rs/ 400 if the DTH service is not resumed even after 24 hrs and the pitiable state of Dish TV agencies having no spare set top box.

                          This probblem in set top box has happended for the 4th tiime in the last two years and i request them to do a proper job,but the repaired set does not last even for 6 months.The last repair was on 10th oct 201. of the set top box.

                          i request you to take up with Dish TV and compensate for the problem as i am unable to see world cup.

                          Dish TV — Improper channel Service

                          This is to complain about my New Dish TV connection (VC No. [protected]) bought on Oct 22, 08 from S.R Communications, Sector 31, Gurgaon (Mobile No [protected], Landline No[protected]. I bought maxi plus plan for Rs. 4290/-.

                          Till date most of the channels like Sony, AXN, Colors, Star Movies, M TV, all star channels and many more are not coming. I complain to S.R Communication about the same but they gave me mobile no of Mr. Amit ([protected]). He promised me that channels will start coming within 4 hours but nothing has happened till date. I sent complain messages to 57575 but that also went for a toss. I called up customer care number[protected] and lodged complaint (no[protected] and I was assured that services would be activated within 24 hours but I think people there too are sleeping.

                          It is when local dealer couldn't help, SMS 57575 is of no use, customer care does not pick up the calls, I am writing this mail hoping that it will work. I am really fed up with Dish TV's customer handling and abusing the day I decided to buy Dish TV rather than Tata Sky or Big TV.

                          Taking Shahrukh Khan for publicity will not help Dish TV if it can't take care of its subscribers!! Please let me know by when all channels would get activated

                            Dish TV is easily India's worst Set Top Box service provider. I mean, one has to actually experience their service to realise how pathetic a service provider they can be.

                            I recently purchased a Samsung LED 3D TV and along with that i got a Dish TV HD Set Top Box free. I was told that a High Definition (HD) Set Top Box is a must when one purchases a LED TV to be able to get the best viewing experience.

                            The TV was delivered and installed by the Samsung guys after a minor delay.

                            But the Dish TV guys took 5 days to install a simple Set Top Box. Their SLA says 72 hours. So i made like 8 calls over these 5 days to their call center, all STD calls cos they dont have a Bangalore local number. With each call i would have to speak to a customer care executive who could barely speak English, who would waste the first 3 mins of the call repeating unwanted details like date of purchase, happy to help you and other typical call center type gibberish. BUt each time i would ask them when is your technician coming to instal the Set Top Box they would say within the next 24 hrs and hang up. So after 3 days, i asked the Call center person to connect me to their supervisor. Same Story. Supervisor would say the same thing. On 2 diff occasions, 2 diff supervisors told me that they would allot my case to a Blore technician and get back to me in 10 mins with details. OBviously they never called back.

                            Finally after 5 days i got to speak to the Blore head of Dish TV IMplementation team ..who again was totally in capable of sending a tchnician

                            After 5 days, i had given up hope, they finally sent a technician..who took 4 hrs to instal..had no clue of the Set Top Box functionalities

                            Worst part was that the much hyped HD channels were hardly that impressive. e.g. if you watch HBO regular vs HBO HD, there is hardly any diff :(

                            set of 5 boxes — don't get delivery

                            I ordered a product code of 29988, it has been more than 20 days i ordered, but i dnt get the delivery of the product, then again i ordered it till now i get it.
                            I completely agree with this complain. I also got Dish TV hi-def Voucher with my purchase of samsung TV about 2 weeks ago in Hyderabad. I initiated the STB installation process on next day of purchase by calling their dish TV customer care executive. Now, this has been well on 12 days and even after multiple calls to customer care and mailing to their support center, i did not get any call from dish TV technician. Every time i have been told the same thing that a technician will contact me within 24 hr and they will not give me any further chance to complain but now they have just crossed the limit. On asking the reason of delay, i am told just a minor issue. What issue they themselves don't know. I find the way they are handling this is highly unprofessional. I recommend others not to opt Disk TV STB for any reason.
                            Dish TV goes guhong-ho when you are inquiring to buy the set top, saying that the installation will happen withing 6 working hours. I purchased the Tru-HD service STP on Sunday (03Jun12) early in the morning and was promised that the installation will be done by the evening, however Monday (04Jun12) I am still awaiting...It is really sad to see tall promises being made just during the sales pitch, but adherence to it is nowhere to be seen...typical of our Desi companies...When contacted with their customer care they started to pitch that their SLA's are 72 hours, when i confronted why 6 hrs installation was promised they started to blabber that this is for top cities (Incidentally during the sales inquiry the representative said that Thane is in top cities).

                                As i had purchased hd connection on 21/02/2011, Dish tv company has shown in advertisement and it's service centre told me, I must get Platinum pack (for two months) + Hd starter pack (for two months) + Hd a-la-carate pack (for two months) But your company has stopped my Hd a-la-carate pack and as i contact company customer service centre they said that you can not get Hd a-la-carate pack you have to pay Rs/ 100 / month.

                                    Hi,

                                    I bought a Samsung 40 inch LED on 26th Feb and got DishTV HD connection free.
                                    I called up the tollfree number on 28th Feb morning and placed a request for installation.

                                    Till now nobody has shown up to do the installation. Once in a while Ravi/Service Center
                                    (cell# [protected] calls up saying they will come and do the installation but do not show up.
                                    When I call him back, the call is not picked/disconnected or is switched off.
                                    Repeated calls to customer care did not help. They just say the complaint is being
                                    reopened/forwarded to backend (read as garbage bin) and someone will call up within
                                    24 hours which never happens...

                                    I am getting a sense that this entire thing of DishTV connection free seems to be a scam.
                                    I will also definitely discourage my friends/colleagues and others from falling prey to this
                                    offer while buying Samsung TVs.

                                    I have given up on Dish TV but want others *not to fall prey* for such offers from Dish TV.

                                    I too purchased a LCD TV in Bangalore on Feb 10th 2011 and have been waiting for the Dish TV technician to come over. Till now after 30 days no one has ever come. Repeated calls to Customer Care always yields a Sorry and nothing else.

                                    I think this is a serious gimmick either from DishTV or from Samsung or from both.

                                    THEY DONT WANT TO HONOR WHAT THEY ARE PROFESSING AND THIS IS A BAD PRACTICE.

                                    Unfortuanately we dont have a Better Business Buereau which could effectively cut this kind of crap.

                                      Today morning(8 March 2011) I switched on my Television and I got this stupid error: 101Unsubscribed Channel. Channels like Kiran TV etc are working, but I don't need them. I want all my paid channels to work properly. I want this sorted by today evening or else I will paste you guys.

                                      DishTV — unsubscribed channels error

                                      since last 5 days my DISH TV not working,
                                      getting error[protected] unsubscribed channels

                                      i paid in advance for 2 months,

                                      customer care not proper,
                                      Thank you, this problem has successfully been solved. I am getting the channels now.
                                      Since the last few days even i am getting the same error! 101 unsubscribed channel for all the channels..
                                      I was very happy with the dishtv service earlier but now they seem to be taking their customer for granted and there is always some or the other problem. My recharge date is approaching and i am on a serious thought to do it or not.

                                        On 16th February 2011 I bayed a new DISHTV connection and this connection installed by SWETALINA ENTERPRISE BIDHAN PARK KOLKATA-90, at time of installation itself his engineer told me that setup box having some single problem then I asked him to replace that setup box and come up with new setup box but next day his engineer again came with same setup box and told me that this is working fine and did installation.
                                        After 4 days on 20th February 2011 it starts creating problem and DTH stop working, problem was no single. I complained about this to customer care of DISH TV and they took my setup box for resolving problem saying that this problem will be resolved max by 48 hrs. After that I asked him to replace that setup box because this problem was known at time of installation and my connection is only 5 day old, but they did not responded. After 2 day I start calling him about status of my setup box but DISHTV customer care and local service provider did not respond me properly every time they telling they will resolve and provide me new setup box in next 24 hrs.
                                        On 27th Feb 2011 I got call from local service provider saying problem is resolved but I was out of station so I asked him to come on 1nd March 2011, but they did not came I called local service provider i.e. SWETALINA ENTERPRISE more than 6 times and they told me that today itself they sending me setup box, so I cancelled my DR. appointment and waited for him. But they did not come.
                                        They came on 2nd March 2011 with some old stupid setup box and they again connected that to my TV but that setup box also had same problem.
                                        Then I called there customer care and told him about this and asked him why they send me old setup box if they promised me to send new one and asked him to refund my money and disconnect my connection but they start saying they need one more day to resolve this problem.
                                        So I gave him 1 more day but yet they did not responded me, I already made 4 times call to their customer care but every time they saying today itself they resolve this problem.
                                        Customer care saying that they forwarded my concern to local service provider.
                                        It seems like at time of money and new connection DISHTV come forward after that they do not care about customer problem. After taking new connection I only used that DTH only for 4 days and they already took 13 days to resolve this problem
                                        So I want my money back.
