[Resolved]  Dish TV HD — Dish TV HD - Delivery Failure in 48 Hrs

Dish TV HD new connection booked on 22 March 2011. Token No 1940663
Promised on phone for delivery with in 48 Hrs
When called on 24 March 2011, after 48 Hrs of booking, Dish TV told the order was not confirmed.
So, Order got confirmed after 48 Hrs insted of Installation and further promise of Delivery & Installation within 48 Hrs.
When called on 26 March 2011 after 48 Hrs, Dish TV HD told that Technitian will give call.

Neither call received no installation after 48Hrs + 48 Hrs = 96 Hrs from time of Booking.

Compaint is "False promise made by Dish TV HD for delivery within 48 Hrs"

DISH TV HD connection — Pathetic Service of Dish TV

Hi, I got a Dish TV HD Platinum connection installed at my place on 11th Feb 2011 and my VC no. is [protected]. After half an hour of the installation, suddenly due to bad weather, signal got dropped and signal error message started showing up on my TV. After waiting for long I did a complaint on their customer care no.[protected] on 13th Morning around 10 am and the complaint no. is 54123877. I talked to Ms. Bindu who is a customer care executive and she assured me that the engineer will visit my place within 24 hours. But as expected, engineer did not visit my place & the problem is still there. Then I called customer care in 14th morning and got the same response from customer care executive and that day also no body visited my place. I again called customer care on 14th Feb evening but did not get any response. Today is 15th Feb and its now more than 48 hours since I’ve launched a complaint but no body visited my place and the problem is still there. I’ve tried customer care no. 6 times since morning. Out of it 2 times I’ve been put on hold for more than 20 minutes & then suddenly call got dropped.

1 time I speak with Mr Ajay who is the supervisor for customer care and he assured me that engineer will visit my place by 15th evening 4 pm and he assured a call back on my no. Neither the engineer visited to my place nor I got a call back from the service center.

Then 1 again called the customer care & while the executive was connecting me to the supervisor suddenly because of no reason call got disconnected.

Then 1 called for the fifth time and talked to Mr. Dheeraj, who also says is the Sr. Supervisor for customer care. I asked them to refund my money and disconnect the connection as I’m highly dissatisfied from the services & irresponsible behavior of the customer care. He managed to convince me with the assurance the today only my problem will be rectified.

Finally I got a call from no. [protected] which is an authorized customer service center and they said that engineer will visit to my place by 6 pm. But again a fake commitment and no body visited my place. Infact when I called them for the follow up, they disconnected my call. I called them again and again for 4-5 times and all the time they disconnected my call. Later on they put their no. on not reachable mode.

From all the above events you can easily make out the kind of harassment Dish TV customers are facing. This shows the delinquency, irresponsibility and non-courteousness of DishTV towards its customers. Even the senior management do not care about the customers, so what can we expect from the customer care executives.

You cannot play with customer’s time & money so I want you to take some serious action against all those who are involved in the whole incident and let me know the further action taken on this complaint. If you are not taking any action on this complaint then also plz let me know so that I take this forward in other way to the larger forum.

Dish TV HD — Very poor service and installation issue

Hi ( To Whomsoever this may concern)

The background of this complaint is, I had booked a TruHD connection on 1st April 2011. As per your promise I got a call on Saturday (3rd) and that person Shekar promised to send the personnel on Monday/Tuesday. On Tuesday the engineer comes at 7.30 pm and does the installation of the Dish. When he tries to install the Set Top Box , the POWER ADAPTER DOES NOT WORK. This STB that he has got is supposed to be a NEW one but still it does not work. THIS IS THE FIRST AND FOREMOST MISTAKE. The engineer says that he will get the adapter the next day.

Finally I provide him an adapter which was my old Tata Sky connection and he installs the STB. After the STB is installed he says that the account will not be activated till the next day as the office is CLOSED. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE when we are paying a whopping Rs.3500. I accept this and as per his words leave the STB on the next day.

The next day i.e. Today, I try to call Mr.Satish ([protected]) and he does not receive my call, Shekar ([protected]) - the phone is switched off. Finally call the engineer who came for installation , he cuts the call and switches off the phone. So I have not received the ADAPTER YET. I come home and see that the connection is not yet activated. IT HAS BEEN 24 HRS AND THE CONNECTION IS NOT YET ACTIVATED, THE PERSON RELATED TO THIS DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. This is not at all acceptable.

I have paid Rs. 3433 to Shiva Shakthi Associates, Bangalore receipt number : 1606.

This service on the first day of the connection is not at all acceptable, as the Indian Government has a facility for Consumer Compaint reporting, I have all the trace of the transactions. As per norms I will wait for DishTV's response for the customer request (this one), failing to which I will have to raise a Consumer Complaint.

I hope you understand the problem of the customer and respond to this immediately.

Dish TV HD — Pathetic Customer Service

The reason is that I am extremely dissatisfied with the after sales service. I will make sure that I inform my coworkers not to buy a Dish HD connection. The customer service is a joke. I have not been able to view any HD channels and some SD channels since almost a week now ( when you consider that I got the connection only 10 days ago). After registering multiple complaints, I get an sms from them saying that you will be sending a technician on 4th of May. However, when I call the technician he says he wont come today. I call hiss boss and his boss says that he has sent the technician.The technician is then rude and yells on the phone " Whats your problem Sir? What channels are you not getting? I am too far off to come today. I will come tomorrow" . After sometime, the technician and the boss both don’t answer any calls. I call their customer care and the supervisor says he will make sure to call me back. He never calls. It’s a bloody disgrace.. I leave office early to make sure I am available when the technician comes. I want a disconnection and my money back. I did not pay 3700 bucks for this. They told me that you can’t reimburse and the only option is to sell the STB for 400 bucks. It’s a freaking joke. And no, this cannot be excused. I will not be okay even if thensend a tech first thing tomorrow morning. These lot should be ashamed of themselves. 20 HD channels are of no worth. There’s no point in buying a Dish HD connection when they don’t even provide the HD channels you pay for.
The customercare is an even bigger joke. They can't do anything. I have complained multiple times. All they say is please give us sometime to resolve this problem. I am disgusted by the service. There is no quick resolution.
