[Resolved]  DishTV — HD channels are scrambling

I purchased dish tv HD about one and half months ago. For the first one week after installation i didn't get any HD channels. Later they installed a part that is required for HD connection in the dish which was not installed initially. Then i got the HD channels for one week and after all HD channels are not clear. They are getting scrambled and the video is getting freezed. I have been continously calling the customer care for the past seven days and all the seven times the different operators gave the same instruction like restore factory settings, channel search and asked me to keep in channel 999 channel. After doing all these stilll the problem is there. Finally a technical person came in person and checked all the connection and signal quality. He told everything is fine and the problem should be with broadcasting and also informed me that this problem is occuring for all HD customers and it should be solved in headquarters. Immediately i called the customer service and asked about this, but the operator told that is not true and everything is fine with broadcasting. Now after all these chases for about 1 week the problem is not solved. I am really upset about this. I will say Dish TV is the worst service provider in DTH and advise others not to go for DISH TV from my own experience.

Hi,
I was facing problems with DishTV. Some HD channels were getting scrambled Mainly SixHD, FX HD (?), etc. I called the technician but tried in vain but these channels still had scrambling problems. The technician was also surprised to find that the signals were quite strong 80% to 90% but sometimes it suddenly went down to 3% to 6% causing the channels to get scrambled up. There was no rain or any trees blocking the signals. He was surprised too! One time he asked me to stay near the dish and went down to the TV to check. He called me down elated, saying all the signals were staying at 80% to 90%. I came down and saw but again the channels were going down to 3% to 6%.

Then the next day, while watching IPL Six SD) I got a phone call on my cell, I took my cell and went to the other room to talk. My friend who arrived asked asked me why I was watching in SD while paying for HD and he switched the channel to Six HD. I was in the other room talking on my cellphone, and the HD channels were crystal clear with no scrambling. I came into the room with the TV and the channel scrambled again. Then it struck me, I took my phone into the other room and the channels were again crystal clear. I realized that my Samsung S Duos Smartphone was causing the problems. I recommend everybody to try this out. If your HD channels are scrambled and you have a Smartphone, try moving the smartphone in a room far from the TV. Try it out it worked for me.
