[Resolved]  DURofLEX CROWN MATTRESSES — DEFECTIVE MATTRESS GIVEN. IGNORING COMPLAINT CALLS

Dear Sirs,

I had purchased a Duroflex Crown Mattress (6' x 6') in June 2008 from M/s Akesha Furnishing at Thane. Within a few months, the stitching on the mattress started peeling off at various places. I contacted the dealer on various occassions and after several follow-ups he asked me to contact Mr. Kumar Pillai ([protected]) from your distributor - Pereira Distributors. Here too after several folllow-up calls, Mr. Pillai finally visited our residence and confirmed that the mattress was defective and promised to replace it. The mattress was replaced only after several follow-up calls from my end.

The story did not end there. THE REPLACED MATTRESS IS EVEN WORSE THAN THE ORIGINAL. The stitching started peeling off within days. My follow-ups started again. Only this time the dealer had closed shop and shifted to another location, so I tried calling Pereira Distributors landline numbers directly, but their numbers were either engaged or when I got through I was placed on hold for so long that I did not have the patience to continue. In the meantime I managed to get through to Mr. Kumar Pillai, but he said he was busy with exhibitions and would be able to visit only after 2 weeks.

In desperation, I called your Hyderabad Office number and spoke to Mr. Ansari. I explained my problem to him and he confirmed that he was receiving such complaints, but it was only from Mumbai region. He gave me the telephone number of your Mumbai rep Mr. Vincent D'Souza ([protected]), who promptly agreed to visit my residence and get the matter resolved. Since we are a working couple, we are at home only on Saturdays and Sundays. However, everytime I called Mr. D'Souza he was busy attending to bigger customers on Saturdays and Sundays. I AM FED-UP OF FOLLOWING UP AND HENCE AM WRITING THIS MAIL, IN THE HOPE THAT DUROFLEX ALSO SUPPORTS SMALL RETAIL CUSTOMERS LIKE ME. Mr. D'Souza claims that he tried calling me on several occassions, and that I never picked up his calls - which may be true, if it was during crucial working hours. The fact however remains that I was given an appointment on 3 occassions and on all the 3 occassions I stayed at home the whole day waiting for Mr. D'Souza to arrive, but he never turned up and his mobile was unreachable. Even my SMSes to him were unanswered.

I was reading on your website about how large Duroflex is and how many countries you export to. I am therefore surprised that an ISO 9001 and Q[protected] renowned brand like Duroflex, that is such a large manufacturer and exporter, treats its small customers so shabbily. Is this the quality you export and is this the way you would treat your overseas retail customers? I agree that in any manufacturing process, there could be some element of defect. But that is exactly what your customer support is supposed to handle. I have been decently following up, but not receiving a reciprocal response. In the meantime, after so many months of following up, the warranty period also has expired.

I do hope there is somebody in Duroflex who listens to small customers also. I do expect an immediate replacement, that adheres to to the quality that Duroflex advertises and is so well known for.

I agree with this complaint since I am in the research to identify a good mattress manufacturer. This kind of problems are with all branded mattress manufacturers and My requriement was specific to back and pain and spinal related. I think Mr. Flavian Rebello's complaint is not reached to Kerala, where the the Duroflex head office is located.

I was thinking to go for Duroflex after checking the other two well known brands, however now I decided to not to buy Duroflex also. Thanks to Flavian for expressing his experience which in Mumbai working couple a real pain and disappointment.
Many of the mattress retailers that I spoke to discouraged me from buying Duroflex as their customer service was pathetic. I think Flavian's comments also point to the same. I am in the market for buying a king size mattress, and I guess I will avoid Duroflex and look for other brands now.
ya there are such problems related to these people.
maybe u must not do that mistake again sir,
my father being a mattress manufacturer from over 35 years, I know and understand what problems it does undergoes i[censored] get that kinda feedback from the manufacturer.
maybe u should try a local manufacture instead..
i[censored] r having any back problems or something u will be best with cotton mattresses.

Dear sir

This is prashant sawant form Tilak Nagar Chembur which i have same story like you. I have purchase Duraflex mattress whcih is within a month its pressed in a boday shape. Which is replace by Duraflex whcih they have take six month to replace and later on same porble is happen with new Mattress.
Which i have infomred then but they told me warrenty was only for one year Hence no replacement.

Really the Duraflex matteress is all duplicate hence goverment should look in to the matter and stop then to sale the mattress or they should not get ISO 2000 certificate.

Krona — Warranty related

Dear Sir,

I am kamaldeep.I have purchased a RO of krona Company form Vishal Mega mart.At the time of purchasing,the sales man of Vishal mega mart assure for home service & warranty for 1 year at narwana jind Haryana.but after 1 day it shows defects.
But now company & vishal mega mart don't taking any responsibility for service,warranty/guarantee.please take serious action for this until i am going to consumer cell narwana.

I purchased duroflex grand plus mattress in 2014 which has 5 years warranty. After one and half year, all the springs has gone and totally it is going down while we slept on the mattress. We are feeling like there is no mattress on our bed. As i have replacement warranty for 5 years, i contacted the dealer rajasthan military & general store shop no 9-1-45/5, langer house bridge, langer house, hyderabad - 500008, beside more super market. They did not respond for this at all. After that i contacted duroflex regional manger krishna murthy ([protected]) & sanjeev ([protected]) so many times. They send a person called santhosh to inspect the mattress ([protected]). After again there is no response from their side. I do regularly followed them many times. Then they said that the warranty is not applicable on this type of problems and this type of problem has been created by us only. Why should we spoil our furniture. This is totally a fraud business and cheating the customer. Still now i did not get solution to my problem. They simply ignored my problem.
It is a waste and worst duroflex matress, and only cheat the customer saying that there will be no back pain as all my family suffering from back pain but they are not aaccepting it .as well blaming on us and saying if any problem in matress we can exchange it .it was hardly purchased by 2 months before only and sufferring from back pain.if any one want to buy think twice and then purchase the dutoflex matress.
