[Resolved] Electrolux — Replacement of defective compressor under warranty | |||
Ref My complaints [protected] dated 12oct11 and PBLR[protected] Since 11oct11my electrolux refrigerator is out of order due to a compressor problem. I called GX systems Bangalore to get it attended.rep of GX systems visited on 12th and informed that the gas has to recharged and that he would send somebody to that next day. He collected Rs300/-for the visit.Next day another technician came, charged the gas and collected additional Rs1100/-from me for the job. After the compressor was switched on ,it was found that the compressor was running continuously for more than 24hrs without cutting.Cooling was very poor,Ice was not forming on ice trays and the compressor was overheated. GXsystem was called again.Their technician came checked and said that the compressor was defective and has to replaced. He also noted it was below the 5yr warranty and noted the purchase and bill details. After that there has been no response from GX systems till now. Further chronological follow up by me given below 27Oct-called customer service.They said compressor Will be available only by 29oct and complaint will be attended after that 30Oct-Reminder call to your customer service. He gave the second complaint ref of 19th Oct and said that a rep will call within 24hrs 5Nov-Nobody called customer service reminded.They said they will call later to give the progress 9Nov-No call received. Called your customer service again.Rep said that his senior would call within 4hrs. 10Nov-Nobody called.I called customer service again and asked to speak to senior manager. Complaint refs are:: PBLR [protected] , [protected] ,[protected] , [protected] and [protected] My frig is out of action over 2 months and I am getting only evasive replies about replace ment of defective compressor covered under warranty .Hope that you would respond to this email urgently as I am left with no other altenative other than taking up the complaint with the consumer forum Was this information helpful? | |||

Electrolux Refrigerator — defective compressor
Ref my complaint dated 27dec2011already registered with you.The firm did not so far attend to warranty replacement of defective compressor and i had already suffered without refrigerator since 12 oct11.
Hence I have scrapped the refigerator and bought another new frig costing about Rs12000/- to store my food items.
I hereby claim from the company the cost of Rs12000/-of a new frig of similar capacity and additional Rs 5000/- as the compensation for the loss and damges to food items and the harrasment I had been put through due to indifferent attitude of the company to my several calls..
Total amount claimed Rs 17000/-

Refrigerator — DEFECTIVE COMPRESSOR
I HAD PURCHASED A REFERIGERATOR FROM SMILE STORE KANPUR THRU BILL NO 67979 DTD 10th FEB 2007 MODEL NO RAI8PVMSIXTL . AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY, BUT AFTER TWO YEARS SUDDENLY COOLING IN THE REFERIGERATOR STOPPED FOTR WHICH I HAVE CONTACTED YOUR SERVICE CENTRE IN KANPUR ON 4/3/2009 AND I GOT MY COMPLAIN REGISTER THRU COMPLAIN NO [protected], MY COMPLAIN WAS ATTENTED ON 17/3/2009. SOMEBODY FROM YOUR SERVICE CENTRE CAME AND CHANGED THE COMPRESSOR. AND CHARGED Rs 1094.18 THRU RECEIPT NO 1608 DTD 17/3/2009.BUT THE COMPRESSOR WAS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY ( NO COOLING ), I AGAIN COMPLAIN THE MATTER TO YOUR SERVICE CENTRE ON 23/3/2009 AS A RESULT MY COMPLAIN WAS ATTENTED BY Mr PANKAJ, HE CAME AND HE SUGGESTED TO SWITCH OFF THE REFERIGERATOR FOR ONE NIGHT AND RESTART ON THE NEXT MORNING WHICH I DID . BUT THE RESULT WAS ZERO .
I AGAIN CONTACTED Mr PANKAJ OVER TELEPHONE AND HE TOLD ME THAT HE WILL CHANGE THE COMPRESSOR BUT AT MOMENT THE COMPRESSOR ARE OUT OF STOCK. AND I HAVE LODGED THE SAME COMPLAIN TO YOUR SERVICE CENTRE ON 27/3/2009. TILL DATE NEITHER MY COMPRESSOR OF REFEREGERATOR CHANGED NOR ANY BODY CAME TO My HOME.
CONSEQUENCES :
AS A RESULT EVERY THING I KEEP IN THE REFEREGERATOR GETS SPOILED AND I CANNOT STORE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES THERE FORE I HAVE TO GO SHOPPING EVERY DAY AT THE COST OF LOOSING PRECIOUS WORKING TIME . THE MOST DISTURBING FACTOR IS THAT BECAUSE OF THE FRIDGE NOT WORKING PROPERLY MY 10 MONTHS OLD SON HAS TO SUFFER THE MOST SO MANY TIMES WE COULD NOT GIVE THE BABY MILK IN THE MIDNIGHT.
THIS INCONVINENCE IS MORE THAN ANY ECONOMIC OR PHYSICAL DAMAGE THAT SAMSUNG COULD HAVE INFLICTED ON ME.
I REQUEST YOU TO KINDLY LOOK IN TO THE MATTER SERIOUSLY AND SOLVE MY PROBLEM .
