[Resolved]  Employee's Provident Fund Organisation, Regional Regional Office, Chennai Region And Puducherry — PF & EPF widrawal amount not credited to my bank account after having dispatched on 30/11/2009

I had applied for withdrawal of my PF and EPF funds. On EPFO's web site: http://www.epfochennai.tn.nic.in/default.asp on entering under ‘Know your Claim Status’ : Office:Chennai , Establishment Code : 31140 (POLARIS SOFTWARE LTD) and employee no: 9439, followed by my bank account no as [protected] and Father’s Name: Shashikant R Dabhade, I could see the amount has been dispatched for crediting to my account on 30/11/2009 saying
Receipt_no:29826680,Type: Form 19, status/remarks: Your Claim is Settled and dispatched on 30/11/2009.Rs. 46210 Credited through ECS in CITI BANK and
Receipt_no: 29826681,Type: Form 10C, status/remarks: Claim is Settled and dispatched on 30/11/2009. Cheque No. 10 for Rs. 19370 has been sent to CITI BANK.
But on checking my Citibank account I can see there is no amount credited to my Citi bank account no [protected], Chennai Branch. Please check to verify whether the amount has been really sent for crediting and that to a correct account number. I have sent an email to ro.[protected]@epfindia.gov.in stating the complaint but no response till date. Also tried calling on no 044 – 28132700 but call is auto answered and then transferred to some number and keeps ringing but no one pick-ups, later it is again auto answered but no one speaks anything and one could hear the chaos of the people in the EPFO’s office. This is very poor service from this big government organization. Please take necessary action to get the refund of this money credited to my account.

Consequences: I had been following up for this since long and later to know only that the amount has been dispatched for crediting to the bank account but in actual the credit has not been made to my account. Right now I am clue less regarding where is my money lying in the current situation.
I needed this amount very urgently for my personal use then in month of November, 09. Due to such terrible situation I have had borrowed money from the Private bank via a Personal loan with higher interest rate of 13.5% +2% processing fees. Also I have had to undergo lot of effort to get the loan sanctioned and disburse in addition to the extra financial burden that I had bear. Also right now am going through lot of pain to follow up on this matter to get my money back via many means like making repetitive phone calls, writing mail, sending written complaint to the department but to no response as of now.

Relief: I need the refund of PF and EPF funds along with the interest rate with which I had to borrow from the private bank for the delayed period at the earliest. Also the EPFO’s official need to be made accountable for laxity in their work and attitude and held the EPFO’s officials responsible for this delays and irresponsible behaviors.
