[Resolved]  Fashion And You — Misleading Information

I had ordered a blackberry phone which appeared to be at a discount on this website. I had made the payment immediately online, and I received the product within a week's time. However, it was far from my expectations.

I dropped an e-mail to [protected]@fashionandyou.Com mentioning the reasons for dissatisfaction:

1. There is a “t-mobile” sign printed on the phone which I don’t like – it was not there on the photograph shown
2. The keys ‘z’ and ‘y’ are switched, and it is highly inconvenient for me to use it in this state
3. The seal on the blackberry box is not the original one, but one of “aakanksha distributors p L”
4. It shows “t-mobile” on every start and stop – on the screen
5. This product is manufactured for european union market – the box clearly mentions that.

The product was clearly one tampered with earlier. And this information was not present on the website at the time of purchase.

However, after repeated calls, I managed to reach a customer care executive and they agreed that I can return the cell. And they assured me that I will get refund of whatever courier charges I expend. At the time of returning, this charge came out to be rs. 1500, since the product had to be treated very carefully in transit. I was reassured by the customer care executive at that point, that I will get a refund of whatever courier expense I make, on sending a copy of the reciept.

After repeated calls, till one month, though I could push them to process my product payment refunded, nothing happened on the courier charges refund front.

After all this, one fine day on a follow up call, post more than 1.5 months of the product being returned, the executive suddenly informs me that the refund is only possible to a maximum amount of rs. 150. Since then, I've spoken to 10 different executives, and floor managers, last one was a guy called nitin sharma, team leader, voice support, who told me the same tale of policies and that nothing can be done. They are not prepared to give direct numbers of their seniors, although they accept their fault, the response I am getting is completely inappropriate.

I am surprised why they repeatedly assured me that I'LL get back the 1500 bucks I spent to send the product back safely... while they had this policy of refund all the while. Why do I have to pay for their executive's fault of not reading the policies correctly and passing on faulty information to the customers??
