[Resolved]  Femina Magazine — Non receipt of subscription copy

Firstly I would like to ask as to why does subscribe to a magazine which they like? One of the many reasons is so that they receive the copies well in time before it hits the stands and also they can rest assured that they will get all the copies without fail. This is the agreement made between the company and the subscriber and the subscriber pays the entire money for the copies in advance. It is the onus of the company to ensure that the subscriber receives the copies regularly and promptly if he has given the proper address. When this basic requirement is not met then there is some error happening somewhere and it needs to be checked and corrected. But when this error is repeated regularly then it speaks a lot of the quality of the service given by the company.
I had subscribed to Femina, Good Homes and Topgear magazines in the month of April 2010. My subscription was to begin from the month of June. I received my Good Homes and Top Gear copies for the month of June but did not receive any copies of Femina. When I called up the customer care somewhere in mid- July to enquire about my subscription copies, they promised to send me the June copies in the month of July....(although these would be of no use to me as they had become old copies). I told the customer care that since they had not sent me the copies in June let my subscription for Femina begin from July as I started receiving the Femina copies from the month of July. This was a very fair demand by me to which the officials refused to accept. Instead they kept asking me if they could send me complimentary copies of Filmfare or Gracia. This was not accepted by me since I am not interested in those magazines. So after a lot of follow up by me for 2-3 months finally they agreed to extend my subscription, meaning now my subscription would end in the month of June 2011, along with a promise that henceforth I would receive my copies in time. All was well till December 2010. Then in the month of Jan I did not receive my Jan 16 copy by the 8th of Jan as is the normal case. I waited for it for a couple of days more, still I did not receive. So I informed the customer care officials about it and they promised to send the copy immediately. I waited and waited but the copy never came despite my several reminders to your officials. It is then that I really got agitated and started complaining instead of requesting/reminding. Then when I escalated this to the floor manager it is then that she sent me the copy in the last week of Feb 2011, delayed by almost 8 weeks!! Due to the fact that I had to remind the officials so many times for my subscribed copy I told the official that as a penalty, my subscription should be increased by one more copy, to which the official flatly refused saying that we have given in once to your demands as a special case and that we cannot do it again. This is highly unprofessional since it was not my mistake but entirely their error. My demand I feel is completely justified and fair by all means. While I was following up on this with the officials, again I did not receive my Feb 23rd and March 16th copies of Femina and my March month copies of Top Gear and Good Homes. I have already bought this to the notice of the officials somewhere on Mar 10th to which they promised to send me the copies immediately......not surprisingly I received the Goodhomes and Topgear Copies today on 19th mar i.e, after 10 days of complaining and am yet to receive the Femina copies and I don’t know how many more days will it take to receive the same.
I can understand if there is a delay once in a while but when the same mistake is repeated regularly it talks a lot of the service quality.
Hence I would like to ask here that when the offence is repeated again and again, what is the penalty going to be borne by the company and what is the compensation going to be given to me who has not been given poor service.

FEMINA — Non Receipt of Magazine

I subscribed to Femina by sending mail order coupon along with debit authorisation to my credit card no. [protected] of Standard Chartered Bank for Rs.570.00 on 23.11.2008. The amount was debited to my account on 02.12.2008. But so far my megazine delivery to my following address given in the order form has not been started inspite of my repeated calls to your local office at phone nos.[protected], 5046369,[protected]. Irequest you to immediately start the delivery and enquire for the delay.

FEMINA — non receipt of magazine

Dear femina,

Top Gear Magzine — Irregular delivery

I had subscribed for Top Gear magazine in the month of Feb 09. I got my 1st subscriptin for the month April 09. But for the month of May 09 i am still awaiting the copy of Top Gear Magazine.

Inspite of repeated followup with Mr Surrender and Ms Sheetal on tel nos.66354085 / 66353262 my issue is still not resolved. I hope at your company we take customer complaints seriously. I have paid in advance for 1 year subscription and in second month only i am facing delivery issue.My CS nos being 47331.

Hope it will be resolved at the earliest.

FEMINA — Wrong Subscription xpiry date

Dear Sirs,

My subscription xpired on 20.5.09 & Paymnt for renewal made on 16.3.09 for one year.
for period 20.5.09 to 20.5.10. No confirmatory letter rcvd fm them, however Femina being received regularly, but the xpiry now indicating as 21st Apr 2010 in lieu of 20th MAY 2010. The period shortened by a month. This has been brought to the notice of their Lucknow office several times thru telcon & they
confirmed that the xpiry date will be corrected immediately. This is not happening. Kindly take up & get
the date corrected with a confirmation to me.

FEMINA — Not receivieng subscribed copies

My Femina ID[protected], expiry dated 4/4/2012.I have beena femina reader since more than 13 yrs always buying my copy from my regular bookstore.I really curse the day I thought of subscribing and that to for 4 yrs. I must confess that the service is so poor & pathetic that I have decided not to subscribe the Femina magazine anymore & also i think i will never buy it from the bookstore also as the expreience with there service has been so bad. I have been getting only 1 copy in a month, that too irregularly.After every second month it just stops coming.Again you register a complain it will come for 2 months and than back to the same old tactics.

I have complained so many times but no resolution till date. Horrible management .I wonder such a big group and this is how you fool your readers.

I took three years subscription from April 2008 to 2011. But after every year they stop my megazine. They stopped my megazine in January this year also but after repeated letters, requestes I started getting it again. After one month they again stopped sending megazine and now after the first week of March, I did't get any megazine. I even contacted their couriers (Overnight express - Phone No.[protected] but they said that the company has not sent any megazine in my name to be couriered to me. Please look into the matter. I shall be grateful.

FEMINA — poor delivery

Hi,

This John Sutar my Id no. 25726426 . I am the subscriber of beneet coleman & co. Ltd. I have received (6no) magazine of Femina from beneet coleman (1st) 2 of them are ok but another 4 no. magazibe packet are totaly broken . I thing some one is used my magazine then delivered to me .It's more pain full for me .I have called Mr. Rukap sen Gupta( area sales manager ) mob no. -[protected] but he was not pick up my phone .

I have been a subscriber to the above mentioned magazines a two years now , Inspite of various complaints ,all the subscribers of my residential building fail to receive a copy of the magazines.Even when the copy is received it is received much after the copy is seen on the newsstand.

FEMINA — Non receipt of Subscription copy

Dear Sir/Madam

My Brother subscribed for Femina for our mother in the month of June & was promised that would receive the copies in the month of July onward. We patiently waited as July went by we did not receive both the copies. I had called earlier in July to check whether the subscription was registered or not but they said it was I did not have to worry & would receive. Unfortunately did not receive any thing. I called in the month of August my address was verified and was informed that I would get a call as I informed that we would want to cancel the subscription but no one has ever called. I was very surprised about the same.

In two days had 4set of Magazines sent to me. Which I accepted & changed my mind. Today is the 22/09/2011 I have not received any copies. I don't want magazines after the date otherwise I can go to paper mart and the old magazine which is just for Rs.10/- there is a reason why we pay & I don't think there is any good customer services at all.

Your services are really appalling & Bad. Can you tell me what needs to be done further.
