Sir/Madam:
Central Locking and Boot latch/lock of my ford fusion, which had started giving problems after 50000kms servicing in Sep 2010, have finally become dysfunctional now. Central Locking stopped working after the 60000kms servicing 2 days ago (Apr 06, 2011) and the boot latch stopped working 3 months ago.
vehicle details:
* Model: Fusion 1.4D
* Buy date: Feb 2008
* Kilometers driven: 32000
* Maintenance: Regularly maintained - has been through 8 scheduled servicings and 2 days back got the 60000 kms servicing done.
What I would like to know is:
1. Is the ford parts quality so poor that they start going bad so soon (< 3 years)? If yes, I would strongly recommend all my friends and family NOT TO BUY ford vehicles. If no, then:
2. Are the ford servicing stations creating more problems than solving? The above mentioned parts started giving problems after servicing in Sep 2010. If no, then I don't agree as the vehicle is very well maintained, only 32K in 3 years. If yes, then:
3. Is it incomptence of the servicing staff that parts start going bad during servicing? or, is it deliberate, making one question the integrity of the Ford staff?
Sincerely hoping that Ford would admit its fault and replace the faulty parts.
Thanks,
