Furniture Bazaar — Non delivery of Goods after 2 months

I brought one Dreamline Mattress and one Dining table for four seater from your above addressed shop on March 13, 2009 amounting to Rs.13, 198/- for both the items. I paid full bill amount by cash and received the bill bearing no. [protected] dated 13th March, 2009. Subsequent to which due to backlog your executive from Furniture Bazaar conveyed me that delivery will be surely done on 20th March, 2009, and which is agreed by me. Please note that after paying the full bill amount your shop was promised me delivering the goods after 7 days. After the delivery date as promised I did not received any kind of delivery of any of the items (after 7 days). On 21st March, 2009 after making lots of enquiry and request and personal visits to your shop and conveyed to your executives that my mother is a patient of knee problem and she is undergoing knee replacement surgery and doctor is strictly instructed us to avoid of seating or sleeping directly at floor that means do not bend her knee more than 90degree. After this entire episode your shop delivered the only above referred Dreamline Mattress on 5th April, 2009. Still today after having continuous in touch with your shop for aforementioned Dining table delivery I have to hear a new excuse on daily basis. As today is 22nd April, 2009 (Wednesday) more than 1 and half month still I am awaiting for Delivery of Dining table.

I certainly hope you have better luck than we did with your Dreamline mattress. We bought one 4 years ago with a 10 year warranty. Within 6 months, it had severe pocketing. What is Dreamline doing about it----ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Dreamline has now halted doing business in at least the two states closest to us, either by choice or polite invitation to cease doing business. Looks a whole lot like Furniture Bazaar and Dreamline are birds of a feather. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a double bubble for you.

What I would suggest doing with your complaint is to file a complaint with your states Attorney General's Office and also file a complain with your local BBB.

Furniture Bazaar — Non-Delivery of items.

Inspite of making full payment,I am yet to receive the funiture items vide advance receipt no.[protected] dated 14.04.2011.The items were to be delivered at the "Genexx Valley" near Joka,Behala within 6.30 p.m. on 14.05.2011.However after waiting till 7pm, called up the showroom and found that the same will positively be delivered by 8.30pm as there had been a vehicle breakdown. Inspite of waiting till 9.15pm, no calls were received regarding the delivery. By that time the showroom had closed and the person I was co-ordinating with had conveniently switched-off his mobile. We left the flat at Genexx Valley to return home disappointed.

Today on contacting the showroom was told that the items would be delivered on 21/5/11, but for the assembling, I would have to go another day to my property, as delivery & assembling does not take place the same day.

I had requested the concerned person, that if the delivery & assembling can take place on 21/5/11, i.e the same day, it will spare me the trouble of going to the property, about 25 kms from my place twice. However I was bluntly refused of this request. I am terribly disappointed by the customer service of 'Furniture Bazaar' and would definitely not recommend my friends or relatives to buy any item from this outlet.

I am yet to get any confirmation from the outlet since morning. Now with full payment made, I do not have any option but to abide by their terms and conditions, since as no refund of payment would be made as also confirmed by the executive of the showroom.

Thanking you,

Sutapa Sarkar
