[Resolved]  Gmada — NON REFUND OF EARNEST MONEY PAID AGAINST DEMAND SURVEY 2003

I had paid Rs.2000/- towards earnest money by demand draft No.698363 dated 20 Jan 2003 against PUDA acknowledgment No.83230 for an independent house at Mohali against Demand Survey 2003.The scheme did take off but neither any information was given to the applicants nor the money was refunded.Against my inquiry GMADA replied vide its memo No.A3(s 5)2007/1418 dated[protected] that the scheme was under consideration and information about draw would be intimated through news papers.I sent the copy of their letter to them but they are silent about the letter and have not given any comments about the letter in their reply against my application under RTI ACT.On 04June 2012 I have sent the original receipt to GMADA for refund but GMADA has intimated against my application under RTI ACT that the money has already been refunded to all the applicants.GMADA is not providing the cheque number against which the money has been refunded.As per the advertisement the money was to be refunded after two years in case the scheme did not take off.But even after ten years the money has not been refunded.It is therefore requested GMADA may be instructed to refund my earnest money with reasonable interest.
