[Resolved] Godrej Locks And Keys — Pathetic Customer Service

We purchased Godrej main door lock and key at one of the dealers at Bangalore; who mentioned to us that the free installation of the same will be done, once we speak to the helpline[protected] number. Accordingly, we gave a call to request for the same. The customer service executive mentions to us that the installation team will not come on Day Zero (day of call), or the next day (Day 1) ; but will definetly come on Day 2 (two days after purchasing the set). The reason I was given was that, anyways the service request number status would have to be closed, so they will definetly come. It was also mentioned that they will come sometime between 12 pm to 7 pm only. On questioning whether it was practically possible where both husband and wife both are working to take permission at the whims and fancies of Godrej installation team; there was nothing but a statement that they cannot help it. Firstly, its surprising that it takes two days for installing a lock. Secondly, I am sure no sane person goes and purchases locks everyday. It would be out of dire necessity and security concerns that one would purchase it and the team takes two days to install it...Ridiculous!! Can somebody put some brains into their hollow heads... I purchased 2 locks on[protected]from Verma Sales Corporation, Mayur Vihar, Delhi - 110091) and today is[protected] and I am still waiting for the arrival of the installer, who promises everyday that he will come tomorrow. Even today he said the same thing. So it's clear that things are going from bad to worse. The Godrej management should better unlock their inaction over the issue or leave this business if that's so petty for them.

I am wanting to purchase a couple of Godrej locks but once i see these mails i feel i should go for something
else.
Godrej has spoilt their name because of these senseless persons operating either their shop of company.

Can some one suggest some alternative to Godrej.

I have purchased 5 locker from Interio dekoware at T.Nagar, Chennai. Tamil Nadu on 04/06/2012,
and we told them to send person after 5 days and they came and install only one lock, after that the balance 4 lock is still pending, whether your are going to taken action on this or otherwise we will go for trade and pattern complaints...

Your immediate action in this regard would be highly appreciated...

I had a worse experience. 4 days after the call, no technician has come to install the lock. Not only do these guys expect me to stay at home everyday waiting for them, but their technician was obnoxious when he spoke to me. He said he will come only when it is convenient for him. That I should have been at home when he called. That he only had my land line number and not my mobile and that was not his fault. I informed the customer care person about this rude behavior and she said they would attend to my complaint immediately. Nothing happened. I think I should throw away the lock and never buy a Godrej product again.

i have purchased the godrej lock on may 2012, but last one month onwords it is strucked during unlock i.e very difficult to unlock. this is not only my problem but also our neighbors ( we are staying at the same appartement) facing the same problem. so please send the technician to do the needful act.
