[Resolved] Godrej Refrigerator — Charges claimed for replacement of the parts under warranty period . | |||
I have lodged complaint with M/s Godrej & Boyce , for the cheating they have done , on 13/04/2010 , but no response till date . Finally I had to pay Rs. 950/- to them . Dear Sir , I have bought one Godrej refrigerator ------- model GDA 19 E AXIS ------- of your company , on 05.08.2007 , at KOLKATA . Now , as the same is not working due to some problems with the compressor , the compresspr needs to be REPLACED -------- and also the REFRIGERATOR IS UNDER WARRANTY FOR THE SAME MATTER . But , as per your company's technician , they are charging Rs. 900/ from me , for the same , giving the reasons of servicing and transportation charges . Now , I would like to know , whether any part of a machine could be replaced without the technician's visit and transportation of the part to be replaced[protected] WHEN THE SAID MATTER IS FULLY COVERED UNDER WARRANTY , as on date . I hope , being at such a responsible position of an esteemed organisation , you would understand the MATTER , and accordingly look into the same , for your needful action . Please note that , we have also recently purchased a large nos. of refrigerators from your company , for distribution to our valued dealers , at different locations , in East Region of the country . WHEN SOMETHING IS UNDER WARRANTY ------- WHY SHOULD THE CUSTOMER PAY ANY AMOUNT FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SAME ?????????????????? dear sirgodrej fridge is very failer fridge $ service is very poor very very shame it
aapke bathinda (punjab) me jo bhi service wala hain wo costetmers se in warranty paisa ley raha hain jaha par koi sunne wala nahi hain aapka service

The same complaint I have with Godrej. They are on of the oldest brand and one of the worst service providers. They charged us the same way as mentioned by Pradeep.
Even I have another complaint # 898289 dated 08/05/2010 pending since last 3 weeks but they are not responding back with they status. They can not change the door gasket when we are ready to pay. where the customer should go after buying from such a company. I think they know very well that legal way is too much lengthy and they are exploiting the customers. one should start a compaign "NOT TO BUY ANY GODREJ PRODUCT"
