[Resolved] Govt Of India — Inordinate Delay in issue of Passport
Sir, I had applied for passport in favour of my self, wife and two girl children long back in 2005 while I was employed at Tinsukia in the NF Railways. I being a Govt Servant was undergo the formalities of obtaining a no objection certificate from the NF Railways which was submitted in due time. I received my passport on 16/8/2005 but did not receive passports in favour of my wife and children till date after a lapse of nearly six years . This inordinate delay is really unexplainable and frustrating on our part. On checking the status online I got the message that the passports of my children are due for despatch but never came. Similarly for my wife the online check said that her police verification is yet to be over. It may also be reiterated that the police verification was also done while at Tinsuika. The verification was done by on duty Sub Inspector Of Hijuguri Outpost but alas passports in favour of my wife and children still eluded me. The name of my Wife is Jhancy S George aged 35yrs then, Daughters named Janet S George aged 12yrs and Jacquiline aged 6yrs then respectively. I am compelled to put up this complaint to you since no response was received even after lodging a written complaint to the Head Office of India with a copy to the Regional office as well. Now Iam no longer in Tinsukia since Iam transferred to Guwahati Zonal Office. My Address is Shajan George XEN/Track Machines, Office Of the Principal Chief Engineer, N.F.Railway, Guwahati- 11 Assam. Pin;- 781011 I would like to have an immediate redressal for the same. thanking You Shajan George Was this information helpful?
