I also got the same email... the very thing that they wanted to a deposit amount to the HRD shows that it is a completely fake job that they are offering... guys like this should be sued and taken to court.
I had a talk with a guy on that number.He has asked me to deposit the amount later but told me to just mail me the address proof of mine.

The things that make me increasingly suspicious about this are:
1. Poor sentence construction and spelling mistakes (e.g. letter is spelled as latter, personal is spelled as personnel). Imagine the HR executive of any company being this bad at English.
2. If they are legitimate employers why are they using public email domain and not the respective company domain (e.g. [protected]@hcl.in)?
3. Equally fishy statement - "The short-listed candidates personnel communication to company, will not be accepted before the given interview schedule". This is a clear indication that HCL is oblivious to the whole thing and if anyone o[censored]s contacts them these so-called recruiters would be in trouble.
4. Needless to say, the security deposit bit.
5. The contact number should have been a board number or landline number. Professionals generally discourage mobile communication.
Now I'm starting to doubt timesjobs, as well.
Anyway, we need to do something to sort this out get to the bottom of this whole thing. If anyone has had any other response from these people please post here.

Those of you who got this mail pls delete it or complain to the police. This is a fraudulent mail and HCL never charges for any recruitments as stated on their web site. Moreover always verify whether the mail is from @hcl.com or in. Can't understand how educated people are falling prey to such scams. Beware of these kinds of mails.
