I am extremely sorry to write such kind of letter. But i am forced to do so because of the irresponsible behavior from the manager of HDFC BANK (status)regarding NRI account.

when i approached for a opening the NRI account of my brother (junior manager)told us in a rude way,"they don't have NRI account facility in samalkha branch".and then we approach panipat branch and opened the NRI account.

But After few days when i went to the samalkha branch a representative is opening the same NRI account for which we are not been even attended. I was shocked at the movement how can they so rude to their regular customer, (we are already having current account and also family members savings account,in same branch)

Please take care that this kind of a behavior from the faculties may reflect in you service which may inversely reflect in your reputation in service.

    This is Upendra Chaurasiya here complaining against HDFC Bank .They are deducting some money regularly from my salary account .So many times we had complaint , but they are not providing solution for the same.Even June 13 also deducted Rs 842 as Depository Charges from my account even not intimated.I m also not using any demate account ,they automatically oppend without my knowladge.

    So request to you please look my this issue soon and do needfull.

        Hello,

        I hold a HDFC Bank credit card (Name: Pranav Sarpotdar) for past 2 years. In the month of May 2013 I completed a transaction online and due to some offer I got a cash back of INR 1625. In the same month (after the transaction date) I get a SMS from HDFC Bank saying that due to no activity on your card for a very long time, the card will be cancelled. I called up the customer care and spoke to them and got a response saying that the KYC needs to be checked and that's why I have got this message.
        For which I refused to submit as that was not the communication in the SMS.

        On June 13, 2013 i received a letter(dated 31st may 2013) from the bank saying that due to inactivity on your card for a considerable period your card has been closed and all benefits, privileges and services attached to the card have been withdrawn permanently. ( I am assuming that the credit of INR 1625 has also been withdrawn). I called up the customer care on 14 June 2013( complaint no. [protected]) and asked for a explanation. I was shocked when the executive told me that "how can your card be cancelled as you have done transaction one month back and also made the payments in the same month". But after making me hold for sometime she tells me that since you have not used your card before this transaction for a long period it stands cancelled. She tells me to drop a letter to nearest bank / ATM explaining this and the bank will give a solution.

        My questions are:
        1) Why should i take the trouble of even going to a ATM when technically i was not inactive and it is not my fault. Will the bank come to my house or office for a credit card payment collection if I am unable to go to them.
        2) If I have used the card in the month of May 2013(first or second week), how can the Bank issue a letter dated 31st May 2013 saying that the card is not being used for a considerable period.
        3) Why are the Bank executives asking for KYC documents / Letter from me saying that I need to submit these documents as the card has been temporarily blocked. Whereas the letter clearly says that all the benefits and privileges have been withdrawn permanently.
        4) If in case there was an outstanding amount on my card, would the bank had withdrawn all the debits as well due to the same reason.

        OR

        5) is it that the Bank does not want to let me use my credit of INR 1625.

        HDFC Credit Card — Payment being asked for Cancelled Card

        Dear Sir,

        I was holding a HDFC Card earlier which was closed in the Year 2005 with giving a full payment and I got a receipt also regarding this. I had called up the Customer Service that day with a Person (details also written in the Receipt) and confirmed that it is a Full and Final Setelment. After this I never went back to the Bank. I had even written a letter to them to Cancel the Card (I never got any reply though). Today they are saying even though the Card is closed the accumalation of non payment of some pending amount is Rs.13000/- and I need to pay the same. I personally went the Bank and showed them all the proofs which I have but they are saying since I do not have the Setellement letter I need to pay the amount. Also I showed them the receipt which I pocess stating it is full and final setlement and the Bank should have the copy of the same they are not obliging.

        I also told them that if any of the Banks or firms comes backs and tells me that I have not paid their dues (even if one Bank) then I would payup. They are forcefully making me pay this.

        Can I lodge a Complaint and win the Battle in this regards. If they have the recording of the Customer service talk which I had on the day (which I have the details) clearly indicating what is mentioned could close the same. even the copy of the receipt would help.

        I have attached the Receipt copy which I am having.

          I paid the total amount due for my HDFC Credit card, but the credit card has generated a new bill of rs 2100 again even after the total amount due payment paid by me.

          It is really mental harrassment by HDFC Bank Credit Card.

          i'm a credit card holder of hdfc bank.i got my card in the month of june-08 and i used it in july-08. The card limit was 15k but recently i was shocked to see the payment due it is 33, 155.10.this is ridiculous how much they will charge for late payment on my card and moreover i didn't received even a single card statement whenever i'm asking they r saying tht" The courier company have delivered the statement every month" but i don't have a single month's statement...IF SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME OUT IN THESE THEY R WELCOME.PLZZZZZ HELP ME.

            Hi Every one,

            Iam from Chennai holding salary account in HDFC for past 3 years. Very worst response from them. i received my debit card before 2 weeks but till now i didnt receive the pin between this my old debit card was blocked automatically. I called and informed them in 1st week that i didnt receive the pin without any response they are asking me to call the courier person. In second week four days i tried the phone banker regarding this issue but after the end of the week they taken the complaint and telling it ll take 7 days for coming across the complaint. already 14 days gone now additional 7 days totally 21 days taking to receive the pin. already half of the month gone. Till now i didn't take my salary itself. Very Very poor.

            HDFC Bank — Bad response from the Hdfc Bank

            I had been apply for hdfc personal loan since last 10 days I provided all the document that bank required but finally i came toknow that my application was rejected due to bad rating.

            I dont understand why account has bad rating. My account is salary account and it is 15months before only.

              HDFC company which at one time was standard for Ethics can no longer be trusted. I fell Victim to its HDFC Savings Assurance Plan. I am retired ex-service man and wanted to keep my retirement benefit in a plan where it stays safe, have flexibility to withdraw and earn a good interest better than regular savings/recurring account.

              HDFC Investment advisor sold me this HDFC Savings Assurance under the pretext that I have flexibility of reducing premium, high interest and also that he is giving me joining cash back offer of 25K. He invested all my retirement amount as first premium saying that you can stop payment after this and high payment in first year means higher interest.

              It is when I received the policy document that yu cannot reduce the premium, you will end up loosing 2/3rd of your total money if you withdraw before 10 years and if you dont pay premium after 1st year you loose complete 1st year premium which is huge.

              In one way or other I stand to loose my retirement amount.

              I tried Ombudsman, Grievances etc all is waste and lacked empathy to understand and were only good in repeating the policy statements.

              I also tried IRDA and havent got any response. If anyone knows a solution please comment

              I saw a lot of similar complaint here and reason for these is SAP comes with almost 25-30% bonus to Insurance advisors as compared to other which gives 7-10%

              HDFC which once was a premier institute is now cheating its customer. Do not Invest in HDFC products, staff is unprofessional, departments are least bothered about your money. I dont have a good experience with there Home loans also in terms of adjusting interest rates as per market rates when it comes down. STAY AWAY FROM Savings Assurance Plan and HDFC to be on safer side.

              If Mr DEEPAK PAREKH or HDFC VP come across this please investigate your department dealings especially in New Delhi (West branches like Rohini etc). Is there someone accountable in this country who can take some action against HDFC and its Policy Advisors.

              DO READ THE DOCUMENT CAREFULLY and DO NOT SIGN ANY POLICY WITHOUT DOCUMENT IN HAND (Get cope of policy from NET)
              DO NOT INVEST in HDFC as Internet is full of complaints against there products, claims department, Home loan etc.

                Dear Complaint Forum

                This is Dennis Hankins, Customer with HDFC Bank. To brief you on the situation I had purchased a Micromax A90s phone on 21st November 2012 via Snapdeal.com, and converted it into a 6 months 0% emi and the merchant charged me twice for same item. I had made numerous calls to HDFC Customer service and explained the situation and also informed that I will not make any payment to the credit card until the Duplicate charge and other charges related to it are refunded, they gave me a Complaint reference number:[protected] and asked me to send me the cancellation invoice which I’ve sent . The transaction was refunded on 21st January 2013 (2 months after actual purchase). Before this issue could happen , I had a good relationship with the bank and never defaulted on any payment and was a privileged customer to HDFC. Please check all related transactions before 21st November 2012.

                The real serious issue which I would like to report to you was the credit card statement dated 14/02/2013

                On 19/01/13 there was a Debit of 8566 which was mentioned as a MER EMI, LOAN PRECL,[protected] I called the customer service and asked them for what this amount was charged, none of the customer service representatives where able to give a proper answer on why this was charged and some representatives told me that I had to pay this amount. Isn’t it Misleading the customer, I would request you to track all the calls I made to the customer service. Even some representatives from Grievance Redressal (Level 2 Contact) could not advise me on the credit card statement dated 14/02/2013. This is a very serious service failure on not knowing on how to advise and educate the customer. Finally days later I’ve received a call from a representative, who was able to explain somewhat close to understanding, and later I checked for myself and had it figured out the issue after hours of study it.

                In addition to the above issue, on numerous occasions I have requested to close my account and also agreed to clear the outstanding amount. But still my account is not closed and the finance and other charges keep accumulating on the account. Instead what HDFC has done is they had closed the card and reissued me a new card, Another Service failure on the part of the bank. Seriously they are not able to empathize with the customer instead they mislead him.

                Unfortunately, the HDFC Customer service/Grievance Redressal has not performed well and the service provided to me was inadequate. I am disappointed because the service was not performed correctly and the problem is still not solved. That is why I’m escalating this issue to you sir. Please look into this issue and I’m looking for a suitable compensation from HDFC Bank for the bad service which has been rendered to me. Also another request I would like to put forth, I want all the charges (Finance, Late and Service tax ,Other charges) to be refunded from November 2012 till May 2013 – I have already spoken to someone from the Grievance Redressal they informed me that they will get back with a solution , but still I have not received a solution, It has been over a month now. Request you to look into this issue, and whatever is remaining outstanding amount after the above requested charges are reversed I’m willing to pay the remaining amount and close my credit card account.                 Credit Card — worst services

                At the time of collecting the documents and at the time of verification I had been told no joining fee and annual fee for axis bank credit card. After receiving the credit card I did not receive any statement... I received SMS after 2 months as “'credit card got outstanding amount
                But I haven’t used my card anywhere. I called Hyderabad AXIS Phone banking customer care[protected] to find the reason. The Phone banking customer care automatic system provided the transaction details like
                I got surprised .because I didn’t done any transaction. I called to AXIS bank customer care executive and I explained the transaction details which I got form the phone banking system to know reason why.
                He told that my credit card was not applied for free life time card criteria. He asked me that 'from where you got the transaction details’; I answered 'from sms I got outstanding amount and from phone banking system I got detailed transaction'. He suddenly told that you are liar. I asked why you are saying like this. He told me 'I don’t want to argue with me and you are not saying truth'.

                Am really fed up with axis bank. This is my first experience with any bank in India.

                Credit Card — Worst Credit Card Services

                Hello,

                Don't trust the credit card services of HSBC as they will charge you late fee even after sending the payment within the due date and also they won't send the card statements within the time or they will send it exactly as it would reach you on the due date. If you receive the bill on due date how can make the payment within the time?

                THIS IS FOR SURE THAT THE SERVICES IS GOOD BUT I AM FED UP WITH THE POLICY OF THIS BANK. EVERY SECOND DAY THEY CHANGE THERE POLICY ACCORDING TO THERE CONVENIENCE.
                EARLIER ANYONE CAN DEPOSIT MONEY ON ANYONE'S ACCOUNT AT ANY BRANCH, BUT THEY MADE A NEW RULE FOR THAT.
                EARLIER ACCOUNT HOLDER CAN DEPOSIT MONEY TO HIS OWN ACCOUNT FROM ANY BRANCH BUT NOW EVEN ACCOUNT HOLDER ALSO HAVE TO GO TO HOME BRANCH TO DEPOSIT MONEY.

                THEY STARTED CHANGING FEE FOR WITHDRAWING MONEY IF HE IS NOT A ACCOUNT HOLDER.

                I WANT TO ADVICE THEM DONT TRY TO BE SMART AND THINK ONLY ABOUT PROFIT, ALSO YOU SHOULD GIVE A LITTLE THOUGHT ON CUSTOMER'S CONVENIENCE. BECOUSE WITHOUT THEM YOU ARE NOTHING.

                  HDFC Bank — Non Clearance of the cheque

                  Hello,

                  I had submitted the cheque I received from HDFC bank after closure of my account to SBI bank. Till date the status I receive from SBI is that HDFC bank has not yet cleared my cheque. The cheque has been deposited with Home Branch of HDFC which is in Mumbai and it is over a month the cheque is not cleared. When I spoke with the Customer care they ask me to Visit Home Branch in Mumbai where as I am situated in Delhi. It is not possible for me to Visit mumbai to get my amount cleared. Its not very huge amount but still it has to be cleared by the bank if they have sent teh cheque to me. Please let me know how can I get the amount to be cleared by the bank.

                    Hi,

                    I have a salary account in HDFC bank, which i was using just to pay my credit card Bills. But today i found that they have deducted money from my account without any prior information. This is disgusting. I will close my account as well as credit card, if i don't get my money back.

                      Sir,
                      I applied for a duplicate credit card from HDFC bank. In that context I sent a hard copy of application to their chennai credit card center. I sent that application through HDFC Patia Branch, Bhubaneswar. According to the branch manager the hard copy mail was delivered to Chennai Office on 3rd June. The mail was sent by by Cosmic Courier (AWB: 109657 dated 30.5.13). On 7th June I Made a call to Calcutta Credit Card help center but to my surprise I got this information from them that till 7th June 2013, the system is not updated with the receipt of my application in hard copy. That means their is a total miss-management in the system. In that context I also wrote a mail to Mr Aditya Puri, MD of HDFC bank on last week, but till now nobody from HDFC bank has even felt urgency to call me back in that regard. My net banking is showing that duplicate credit card has been generated against my account. But simply it is kept undelivered till date. Is it at all world class service from HDFC bank. I am also thinking of writing this story to social blogs and network. The mail I wrote to Mr Aditya Puri is as follows:

                      Dear Sir,
                      Its a very bad feeling for me that at last I am writing this mail to the highest authority of HDFC bank. I know it is not possible for him to pay attention to very small issues occurring everyday and every moment.

                      I am a credit card holder of HDFC. Due to some disputed transaction the card was blocked. The card no is [protected]. The case id was HBL=[protected]. Later on I also appealed for the issue of a duplicate credit card. The hard copy I sent through HDFC Branch: Patia, Bhubaneswar. When I went to that branch some staff member asked me not to drop that mail in the drop box when I asked him where to drop that one. received that mail (hard copy in a sealed envelop) from my hand by himself. Last day I rang Kolkata helpdesk of credit card center. There Ms. Bidhrohini attained my call and she explained the reason why the duplicate card has not been dispatched to me. The reason she expressed before me is like this.."As you did not give the written application for issuing a duplicate card, so it has not been done". I was surprised and told her that I by myself handed over the hard mail copy to the concerned branch at Patia, Bhubaneswar. But she told that she is helpless since the system is showing like that only. Then I contacted the Patia Branch Manager Mr Manoj Parida and narrated the whole thing. He told that he needed 4 hrs (that time was 1:52 PM) since he has to contact Chennai office. I waited upto 6PM in the evening. I also gave him a mail intimating the same. At 6 o clock again I rang him and he informed me that the mail was sent from the branch by Cosmic Courier (AWB: 109657 dated 30.5.13) and the mail was delivered on 3rd June, 2013. I asked him to send the scanned document of that acknowledgement slip duly signed on that date. He told that last day evening it was not possible since that courier office is closed, next day morning (that means today)he will definitely send it. Today in the morning again I rang him and asked him when he will send it. I felt that he is a kind o[censored]nhappy with my question and gave the answer "it is not possible for me to give the answer, when it will come I will give it send it to you by mail only". His approach was like that as if I have done something wrong by making a call to him. That means he is not at all customer friendly. At around 1:10 PM today only another person from that Patia office(whose name is probably Debashish) called me from his no [protected] informing me that I can talk with that courier company delivering the mail to Chennai office for confirmation. I asked Mr Debashish why I will call that courier company? I also asked him why you are not sending the scanned copy of that acknowledgement slip? What is the problem? He could not give me any satisfactory answer. I also asked him "Tell Mr Parida, your branch manager to call me". But till now he did not show this minimum courtesy to call me back. Another thing I have noted that whenever I gave any mail to him he has not shown any minimum courtesy to acknowledge that also. His way of talking is also a kind of rude because I can convey his statements to you but I cannot convey his attitude at that moment. All these things indicate that intentionally he likes to harass the customers. If he cannot serve the purpose he could directly tell me that it is beyond his capability, but he has no authority to make harassed simply by keeping me waited for more than 17-18 hrs. I thinks he is a intelligent lier. The staff member (Mr Debashis) wanted to to know that from where I have got this news "you have not given any hard copy of application for the issue of a duplicate credit card"? As if I have given them the wrong information yesterday. I asked him "ok now I have to inform this thing, the total miscommunication to MD of HDFC bank".

                      Yes I know that your contribution to the Indian banking system is beyond any comparison since now HDFC means a word of faith and dependency. You have come to this position by sacrificing so many things, but are your staff members are aware of that? I think they are only happy with their handsome salary packet at the end of month. I think they have forgotten this simple philosophy that if customers are not there they are also value less and yes the satisfaction of each and every customer is the prime concern. Since the satisfaction of one customer can help bringing another ten customers, the simple logic of business world.

                      I will go abroad very soon. So I do not know how I will accept the new credit card if it does not reach me before Saturday!! I think I should not use the HDFC credit card anymore because in the market there are thousand and one good banks who also offer this credit card facility.

                      Another thing I also want to mention out that a couple of days back I also sent a mail to bank card email id requesting the delivery of the duplicate card. But they also did give no reply till date which is surprising to me.

                      If you want I can put forward all the previous mails sent to different email ids related to HDFC for you kind verification.

                      Still now I keep 100% faith on the highest authority of HDFC bank since I believe that the name "Aditya Puri" is enough in India. I know this name is the other name of faith and clarity among the Indian bank customers. I hope the solution will come out.

                      HDFC Credit Card — IRREGULAR DELIVERY OF CARD STATEMENT

                      I am using HDFC Bank Credit Card since five years and every year i dont receive the statement atleast two to three times a year. I haven't received the bill for the month of April and May this year and after calling the customer care center for the duplicate statement and also by email i haven't received yet. I have made an on account payment of Rs.10000 both the months before my due date but still they are charging me the interest for part payment. My account department does not approve my payments without the statement but still both the months I manage to get it passed. I called up customer care center and requested to send the bill as early as possible and also requested to wave of the interest charged as it was there fault but still I do not have any positive response from their side.

                      I've been continuously receiving calls from HDFC bank representatives about credit card and different offers which is disturbing me while at work.
                      However after a call I submitted the request for credit card. While completing all formalities the representative told me that I will receive the Card in 1 week. I also got the SMS from HDFC bank that my request will be processed within 3 weeks.

                      Its more than a month now, I have no updates, when I call the representative everytime they tell me new stories. I was MISGUIDED at the time of completing formalities.

                      I request to the concerned authorities to take stringent action against the person responsible. So that no other consumer is left cheated.

                        I had requested for a cheque book a few days back which I received in burnt and torn condition. I registered a complaint 4 days back and they say it will take anoth 4 working days to revert. God only knows when will a replaced cheque book come.

                        I need to make a payment by cheque only but I cant because of the great condition of the cheque book. Who now is going to bear the financial consequences for the delay in payment because of this.

                          I had brought a apartment through HDFC reality of Sasthamangalm branch, Trivandrum , Kerala. On 9-Jun-2012 I have paid amount of 12,500 as brokerage to HDFC. But they didn't give me the receipt. Saying like they will make arrangement to get receipt to my office. Amount is being collected by a person called Sanjay.

                          Later I had a felling like, he is fooling me. Then I started mailing him asking the same, but no reply. I did mail to hdfc mail id only.

                          Next I did manage to get some email id of higher authority. email ids are [protected]@hdfc.com, Sachin A G <[protected]@hdfcrealty.com>, Smijith Girijan <[protected]@hdfcrealty.com>. And terribly they replied after a long ONE month, saying sorry and to get more details, like the deal details. I passed on those to them, now it is about 4-5 month, and no response.

                          I am not asking the money back. But I want the receipt for money I paid. Is there a way to get the receipt or else let them refund.

                            on[protected] i withdrew money from scetor-14 atm machine that is next to the bank . I first withdrew 20000 from the machine and it gave the money then as i wanted more money i swiped for another 20000 but the machine didnot give the money i thought that may be the machine doesnot has that much cash so i tried another 10000 but the machine didnot give that money either . But later i found out that the money has 30000 that machine didnot give has been debitted from my account. When i made a complaint with the customer care they said that it is a case of clear withdrawl . i insisted them to have a look at there cctv footage they said they donot have a cctv there but later i found out that there is a camera in that atm and i made a complaint to the branch but even they have not taken the note of my complaint seriously.Please note go to nationalisd bank go to any other bank but not people who do not value there customers.

                                Hi Team,

                                This is to inform you that HDFC has done fraud on me and made changes in my identity proof to provide me a Credit card without informing me. HDFC bank employee has submitted false proofs of my d.o.b to get his credit card targets achieve and provided me a Credit Card but with wrong Date of Birth proof.Now im facing lots of issue due to this as I'm not eligible for any kind of bank offers and credit money.

                                  Dear Sir,

                                  I have an account with the bank in their Mulund Branch.

                                  I have transaction of Rs. 24,750/- per month from the account for the EMI for the same bank for the Auto Loan.

                                  In spite of the same, the bank deducts the minimum balance charges every month for the last several months.
                                  In spite of the reminders on the mail they are not stopping the deductions automatically and now have even replied me about not being able to help unless I give them my Consumer Number.

                                  The consumer number identification is something which is used for my Internet Banking and I am reluctant to share the same due to security reasons.

                                  Request your help in the matter.

                                  Request you to take up the matter with the concerned and help me.

                                    I have received the Credit Card No....[protected]. and received a bill for making credit card charges which was not informed to me while signing the For m for New credit card. The representative (Dt:30/03/2013) informed me there is no charge for making the new Credit card and this life time free card. Now you have charged me of Rs. 335.96/- towards annual charges for the same. Therefore, I request you to please waive the same so that I can start to continue using the same. Hoping favourable response.

                                      Hi,

                                      This is Sambid Kumar Das(Age-25) working as an Engineer at Nokia Siemens Networks,Asansol. Basically I belong to Khurda,Odisha,Pin-752055. In the month of January,2013 I got a call from HDFC life,Kolkata branch regarding a policy named as Sampurn Samridhi plan. On that policy I was described verbally by the agent to pay 125000/- in 5 years(25000/- each year) and after the completion of 6th years I will get bank an amount of 2 lakh and 8 thousand along with some Tax and Medical benifit.

                                      Being interested on this policy I put a check of 12500/- for 6 months on the date of 15th January 2013. At that time I was ensured to get all my documents of policy with in 15 days i.e in 2nd week of feb-2013. But I did not get any policy document till the end of February month. I used to take regular follow up during this time. But every time the agent was saying "It is still under process." After some days the agent did not pick up my call. So raise a complain at HDFC LIFE and at that time I got to know the policy bond had already been delivered to another address at Orissa which is not mine, on the date 5th feb-2013. So I requested at my nearest branch to provide me a duplicate policy bond. Today I got my policy bond having POLICY NO[protected]. Inside the bond I found the plan is completely different from the plan which was described me before.

                                      The address which is written in the bond is not my address and also not a valid address because in the address only District and State name and Pin number is mentioned.
                                      So How can a document be delivered to a address in which nothing is mentioned(Neither house no., nor Street no not even any land mark.). And inside the document the Signature is not mine and the phone number is not also.

                                      So I went to the branch to cancel my policy and want my money back. But now they are saying the policy can not be canceled as original document is delivered on the month February and free look up time which ,is 15 days of the delivery, is over. But the fact is I did not get the original Bond and got the duplicate one today.

                                      So it is completely cheating. I am requesting you to look in to this matter and help me.

                                      I am attaching my policy receipt and plan details which was initially given to me in the of Jan-2013 . Pls look into this case and get back to me ASAP

                                        Hi, I am applied for hdfc loan and I got confirmation message on 20th May 2013 the very next day executive came and verified my present address and even verification happened at my office also through phone calls .
                                        After 2 days I called executive to whom i have submitted my documents to ask about my loan status he told bank people were busy for the last 2 days so i will get message by today evening but i dint get it so i keep on calling every day he used to tell me same thing after that he gave me one bank coordinator number who is handling my file But that bank coordinator also dint pick the call .
                                        after waiting for a week executive who took my documents told me tat i am staying in negative area but I confirmed tat I am staying in Malakpet Not in chanchalguda and again I even submitted my fresh residence proof from my office then also they rejected because i am staying near to chanchalguda.
                                        But I am staying in Malakpet. I need loan for my family purpose Please help me for approval of loan.
