[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Non issue of zero balance & No dues certificate


Please find below a complain that i have launched against credit card division of HDFC bank a year back. Now after the complain i have now settled my account with an payment of Rs 45000 in 4 installments in April 2007. Now till today they have not issued me the NO DUES certificate and the ZERO balance statement , for which they have again taken Rs3300 in the month of July 2007(reason-Chennai office have asked IShita) by saying that There centre in Chennai will issue the Zero Balance certificate.

But till today there statements is still showing all the amount as due and they have been calling me/visiting my residence for the payment. The case has really gone bad As the Escalation Manager Mr Ishita (which i doubt[protected]HDFC Rajouri garden) have confirmed me that they will send the Zero Balance statement but till today nothing has happened.

Moreover recently again they have been going to my residence in Delhi and harresing my parent who are 70 years old. i have all the payment receipts after the settle ment letter.

I request you to kindly take a proper action in this case as its getting painful for me and for my parents. as my both parents are ill and i am being posted in Bangalore since may 2007.

This is regarding card no [protected] in the name of Mr Ankur Sharan,We would request you to kindly take an action on the various collection agency which has been dealing with this account, as it has been past 6 months that we are trying to settle our dues on this a/c and all the people whom we are comming across are constatntly giving us this false commitment that we will be receving our settlement letter after we make particular amt payment and when we make the payment nobody turns up with the settlement letter.

We were having certain dispute also on this card,which we have made aware to mr Alok/Gaurav,and after that got a commitment from them that they will reverse the transaction and give us a final statement (the revised one) ,we have yet to receive that.

Since past one month we have been mentally harrassed by your collection staff. I and my Husband (Mr Ankur Sharan) are working and are not available between 9a.m. to 8 p.m.,our parents who are very old are there at home,yesterday a person had come from your bank and misbehaved with my father in law, his behaviour was so bad that my father in law has almost got a heart attack. the kind of language and abuses used by him has disturbed his mental status.today another person had come and informed that some case is filed against him because he is having a loan of Rs 2 lakh , which is not even the credit limit of his card.

We got a commitement from Mrs Neelu Duggal ,who claims to be the head of collection that she will mail across the settlement letter of Rs 35000/- to my husband. After this i spoke to Mr Shweta Kapoor (Senior Escalation Officer) who then informed me that nobody can give us this settlemet figure between 1st to 7th of the month as there is some Transaction update going on at this period.I am trying to get in touch with Mrs Neelu Duggal ([protected]) from last 2 days and whenever she picks up she is busy with something or other and not ready to take the call.Mrs Kashish mehta[protected] and Gaurav Duggal is out of the scene.

After all this information i am sure you will be able to understand our position.If we do not get a proper response in next 24 hrs, we will be forced to take a legal action on this and put it in media,so that we can have a solution to this problem.

First complaint was made on 7. 11. 2007 regarding non sending of password.

Even after repeated requests I havent received the password and
excuses given were:

door locked

inability to regenerate password

Due to above reasons I have to per force contact my local broker to
apply for shares resulting in undue hassle for me.

Customer care phone numbers are absolutely non responsive.

I request to take prompt action regarding the same and my password be
sent to either the addrsses mentioned by me in the mail or the address
recorded by them.

In case of courier default please I be provided all the details.
