My Name is Digpal Singh Chahar. I hold an ULIP with HDFC SLIC since Aug’ 2007 ( policy #[protected].
Before 15 days back I received a call from HDFC back executive( Name is Dhreej in dwarika branch) He told me “ If I will take new policy then bank can make payment of current policy”.
After that I called to customer care of HDFC Std. Life then I know “Cheque already made on 15/01/12 of nominee which is my sister & name is Seema Chahar”. That cheque I have not received yet . This information I have given to customer care and request for issue a new cheque and discussed my requirement Request no.[protected]
My requirement is simple: Get the correct fund value credited to my account. They were helpful but unfortunately not equipped / trained to provide any solutions. .
Issues that I currently face with this policy are as follows:
I had selected my sister "Seema Chahar" as my nominee and not my "beneficiary". HDFC SLIC has taken the liberty of adding her as a "beneficiary" and is now informing me that the surrender amount would go to my Sister (beneficiary) and not to me although I’m the policy holder. No one disclosed this to me at the time of policy inception. My sister married and end name has been changed of my sister.
PLEASE PROVDE A SOLUTION FOR THIS SCENARIO.
