HDFC Banklife — CHEATING

Address:Karnataka

SUB: Amount Rs 80000 lost in revival of the Policy No . 12984809 on account of misleading information provided by the Branch.

Dear Sir

Greetings from Udupi

I have three policies from The HDFCLIFE for last 5 years; each of the three policies is purchased at an interval of one year and of different policy term.

11437893
12984809
12985455

As I am NRI it is been agreed that all the communication to be sent by e mail. I visited HDFCLIFE web site and I registered for the e mail alert also for all three policy document under my name with My Client Number: 52709310

I have been receiving policy premium reminders for the policy and premium used to be directly debited from my NRE account and for Policy No 12984809 I was paying through net banking as and when I receive reminder for the policy premium by e mail.

As all three policy has different premium paying terms I wrote to my parent policy servicing branch as per the advice of Mr. Prashant Shetty who is my HDFC BANK branch costumer service executive through whom I have purchased these three policy, requesting them to provide the details of the each policy term I have paid the premium and also how long I have to pay premium as per the policy conditions on 13th August 2011.

Mr. Ravisha s CAM, HDFCLIFE replied back on 19th August through his e mail ID [protected]@hdfclife.com to my registered e mail ID [protected]@hotmail.com as I can stop paying the premium for two policy 11437893 and 52709310 and he wrote specifically that I need not write to them expressing my wish to stop paying premium as these policy already cover three year minimum requirement of policy premium paying terms. And I need to pay the premium for the policy no[protected]Enclosed copy of the E Mail.)

Accordingly I stopped the payment for two policies. In the month of February I received a call from branch mentioning that my policy no 12984809 is already lapsed and I can revive the same. I immediately made the payment for the same and wrote the branch why did policy lapse when ravish wrote in his mail that I have already made required payment and need not pay any more. Then I received this replay as it is Typo error.

On the date of Lapse 16/01/2012 I had 60,209.69003 units when same money reinvested on 17/02/2012 I got only 54,684.47275. I lost in total 5525.21728 units that means, during course of Policy being lapsed and to revive the policy within month I lost Rs 80000.
I wrote subsequently I wrote to HDFC Branch as well as to service @ hdfclife.com almost 10 times and I did not receive any positive response from any one. When I wrote to customer service they spoke to me over phone and Mr. Ravish admitted to customer care executive on the conference call that it was his mistake and latter costumer care executive promised compensate the loss.

Unfortunately I received mail,

We refer to our e-mail dated June 02, 2012 wherein you have raised concern for the aforesaid policy. We have reviewed your complaint and based on our internal assessment we are unable to accept your request for NAV backdation for the aforesaid policy.

On 12th May 2012 I lodged complaint to Costumer Grievances Cell, HDFC Life, Nanda Commercial Complex, Court Road. Udupi-576101. Revived acknowledgement for the same but till date I have not received any response from them as they were suppose to get back within 15 Days.

My point of view is

I have been registered for e mail alert but there is no e mail or notice sent me with regards to lapse of my policy other than one telephone call after the lapse of the policy.

On the date of Lapse 16/01/2012 I had 60,209.69003 units value of Rs 832,844.52/- in my policy account related to the same policy and how come my policy lapse when mortality charges can be taken from units as done for all the policy.

If a branch employ given misleading information why should a costumer suffer for the same, I have lost Rs 80000 due to lapse I am requesting insurance company to compensate the same.

I Kindly requested IRDA to please verify the facts with HDFC Life, I have invested my 15 years saving in HDFCLIE and I would never thought that I would be cheated like this I have only hope on the system in the government agency who can provide me justice

Thanking you

You’re faithfully

Dear sir,
One lady named Divya Chauhan is a fraud working with HDFC standard life insurance, new delhi.
mob no.[protected].She gives false promises and traps people to buy new policies.Once her job is done
she does not pick up the phone from known numbers.
I would like to know whether she can be legally implicated for this act of cyber crime so that
such cheats are taught a lesson.

Dear all

This story very important .
Have patience to read this can save you more money and have peace of mind.

I have faced problem with hdfc life insurance 5 years back.
These people came to my house a fine day morning and sold me insurance policy for yearly 100000 Lakh.
And later i recieved a policy mentioning quaterly 1 lac means i need to pay 4 lacs yearly. after recieving the policy in 5 days i informed this mistake. They told they will change it and send me a new policy soon. After a month i called them again they told its under process. and after few days of repeated calls they told unable to change my policy and i need to pay 4 lakhs per year. i put complaints but they didnt respond i have all correspondence with me. These people never picks up my phone. I know i lost the money. And the great robbers sitting in mumbai must have shared this profit.

1) hdfc people never lifts their phones once you invest money.
2) customer care is good in making storys or say simple i feel sad about you and they cannot help on this.
3) The head office are always ready to help and try to hold you saying that its under process so that you dont complaint and delay the process so that you loose time to put a complaint.
4) From ex employ i can understand that they get training to do this type of business.

Any way there are lot of robbers all over the world. if you stand in a railway station somebody can steal your purse and run away. may be you can give a complaint to police .but not sure you get back the money. may be some one can break in to your house at night and steal .

So every where there are chances some one can harm you and run away. But Its very pathetic someone comes to your house officially and speak to your family and steal the hard earned money in bulk in the name of cooperate office.Later the well educated(may be MBA and lot of degrees scholars) make storys to convince you that they have the right to rob you. After seeing lot of complaints from people and lot of posting i thought i should share my thoughts here for the public awareness. If you take a census you can find more and more people getting cheated.
My phone is [protected]. if not reachable my email id [protected]@gmail.com

regards
