i too am facing a similar situation and for the last 4 months i have been receiving only reassurances that my coupons are being sent, but till today either those coupons have to see the light of day, or the stupid nitwits making these assurances have to.
when they want subscriptions they come begging at our doorsteps like the politicians, but once they take our money they forget us.
last year i too had started the subscription, form # 279335 for 2 years at Rs.195/-, and the cheque got cleared in jan 08 itself but the first lot of 12 coupons were received only after 4 months.
because of this i started my follow-up with these from jan 09 for the current 12 coupons which should be covering the period of may 09 to apr 09, but these , dont seem to understand their responsibility toward their customers.
i have a very black tongue which i have told the agent who booked my subscription last year; although you profess to be the # 1 newspaper or even catching up to it, if this be your attitude towards honouring your committment toward your customers, it wont be too late that you will go extinct, MARK MY WORDS.

Personal — Subscription Coupon for Circulation Dept

The cheque (Rs 390) for my subscription of TOI was cashed by Bennett, Coleman from my bank on Sept 3, 2009 this year. But, I never received any subscription coupon as of yet. The commencement date for the subscription should be from Sept 09.
The stunning part is that I can not reach anybody at TOI. The local sales guy is not picking up the phone. Whenever I try to contact to the circulation dept at 4407 6538, the security person says that Madam is not available. I tried different days in the week at different time without any feedback.
I am a vivid reader for TOI for the last 7 yrs. It is amazing for me to think that an organization like TOI who talks about ethics and integrity through their news column all the time, has such a poor customer service. I am not sure whether it is customer service or customer harassment. This is really a bitter lesson for me.

I want to add to the complaint book even my complaint. i had subscribed for the hindustan times for the year[protected] vide [protected]@349 for 2 yrs i am yet to receive the coupan for the second year. kindly look into the matter and solve my problem

Hindustan Times — NEWS PAPER AGENT NOT PROVIDING SCHEMES LAUNCHED BY H.T. AND MISBEHAVING

I would like to bring it to your kind notice that the newspaper agent of my area is not providing us with the schemes launched by HT. When we had a discussion with him regarding this he misbehaved with us and threatened us with dire consequences. He said that he is the president of Newspaper agent association Nangloi Delhi 110041 and no one can challenge him . There are 192 flats in my pocket 11 sec 21 Rohini delhi 110086. pocket 12 and 13 with same no of flats are having same problem with the same agent . most of the 576 flat owners read ENGLISH & HINDI EDITION OF HT. The name of agent is MANISH his mobile no is [protected].

So I General secretary pocket 11 sec 21 Rohini request you to take stern action against the above mentioned agent so that he will provide the scheme launched by HT and behave properly

I received HT coupons for ayear and after repeated follow up the vendor said that the coupouns are with him and he will deliver the newspaper but now he says that he does not have the coupons.My form number is 251047 and the copupon umber is supposedly 472098. Tried calling the HT office number 67764242 but keep getting disconnected

I would like to add my complaint to this section.I paid for 1 year subscription through cheque on 20 th of november through my newspaper vendor who says he has promptly forwarded it.I subscribed to this paper thinking that a good newspaper will have a good customer service, however till day i havent to find a single ray of hope to believe what i thought was true.I hope the neccesary authorities will take sincere action and help me get my coupons.

I had paid subscriptions for 2 years for HT and Mint. As I have not receiced the vouchers for the 2nd year, I have not received the papers since last 4 months.

Last 2 week before i given cheque for Annual Subscription 199/
but still i dont recived any coupons .
