[Resolved] HomeTown, Vikhroli — Delivery of wrong bed - no response | |||
Dear Sir/Ma'am, Its been a very disappointing experience with HomeTown Vikhroli (Pantaloon Retail shop). We are loyal customers of HomeTown wherein all major household items for our new home have been selected from HomeTown Vikhroli. In fact, for my son's 4th birthday on August 11th we booked a Chhota Bheem bed, quilt, mattress and bedcovers/pillowcases on 28th July, 2012 from Home Town Vikhroli once again. Appended is the invoice for the same. It was communicated that the total order will be delivered by around 8/9th August which was in advance for my sons' birthday. The events which were to follow were indeed frustrating. I received call around 8/9th August about delivery being given only for bed as the other items were not in stock as on that date. Accordingly, the bed was delivered but it was not a Chota Bheem bed which was selected so adoringly and purchased by us!!! It was a simple white 5 ft child bed. As I was at work, my mother in law took the delivery and enquired about it. she suggested that this be taken back as not the one ordered. The person who delivered mentioned that this was the order and left. I received a call next day informing that my mattress was ready and would be delivered. However, the chota bheem bedsheet quilt and pillow cover was not available. I informed them immediately that the bed was not the one we purchased and was simple white bed. the person informed that would look into the same and disconnected. This followed by delivery of mattress but without the bedsheet, pillowcase and quilt. Delivery person again refused to comment on bed. After a gap, the bedsheet quilt and pillowcase was delivered during which once again we highlighted the case of the mistaken identity of the bed!!!! Albeit still even after my sons birthday has passed, the chhota bheem bed has not been delivered. ! Indeed this was disappointing as well as still no one bothered to respond to our query raised with the delivery persons. By now, my husband and I were also continuously trying to reach the only HomeTown office landline number mentioned on the invoice 61775200. Surprising part which we realised over a 6-7 days ordeal is that the number keeps ringing, or picked by the person and placed on the side, or is constantly engaged. This implies that the staff does not bother to be responsive or probably its a dummy number which merely serves for outgoing from the shop. We may be prejudiced by now but this experience has left such a bitter taste in our mouth that no assurance can make us change our mind. HomeTown tag line mentions that makes life beautiful. But this experience has completely spoiled my son's birthday present from us as the Chhota Bheem bed still remains undelivered!!!! Our son who turned 4 year old keeps checking each day as to why his parents have not lived upto their promise for Chhota Bheem bed! In fact, he has not even touched or used the bed as this is not Chhota Bheem bed he had selected. Would appreciate if the Chhota Bheem bed can be arranged by them to be delivered immediately and the simple white bed delivered to us is taken back immediately.
