I HAD PURCHASED HONDA ACTIVA- KL7BM9274 FROM ARYABHANGY MOTORS ALWAYE ON 27TH FEB-I0.EVEN AFTER 3 SERVICES THERE IS THIS STARTING TROUBLE.SOMETIMES IT GETS OFF WHILE STOPPING AT TRAFFIC JUNCTIONS.

Honda Activa — does not start in the morning, goes off while driving

I have purchased a hond activa 6 months back. from the beginning the self start did not work. service center has addressed this once, but the problem still continues.

also sometimes engine goes off while driving.

I too have the exact same issue. I bought the Activa from a Honda dealer in Domlur, Bangalore. Within the first 2 months, the starting trouble began. Even after repeated servicing, the issue remained.

During the fourth month, the dealer asked us to get the battery changed. Despite the change, the problem persists.

During every Service, the dealer gets the batteries charged and still it seems to get discharged within a day. I am planning to just buy a new battery and see if this solves the problem. It is getting a big hassle to chase the dealer every week, despite being covered under the warranty.

Now I am facing starting trouble with my scooter especially morning hours. When I am trying to start either way by kick or self it is not working. The start requires minimum 10-15 kicks even with/ without choke. I have given the vehicle for rectification at the same dealer, but no use. The problem still there.

I am also facing the starting problem with my scooter Honda Activa during morning hours also during daytime if the vehice is not used more than 4-5 hrs. When I am trying to start either way by kick or self it is not working. The start requires minimum 10-15 kicks even with or without choke.

I have given the vehicle for rectification for 4 times from 10th July'2012 - 8th Aug'2012 at the Pratul Honda, Hyderbad, Kondapur Dealer, but no use. The problem still there. Please help me.

I have bought new Honda Activa HET model in April 2014. Since then I am facing the issue with the self start. My first free service was completed last month. During that service I have lodge the complaint about the self start. At that time service person told that he will recharge the battery and this problem will be solved. But from next day again I am facing the same issue.I always start my scooter by kick first time in the morning as suggested by Honda. It is not possible to switch off the engine during traffic or long signals.Please help me out to solve this issue. May be some consumer portal or proper channels to tackle this issue.

I have purchased Honday Activa in Thane last year. One month after purshase i face issue with Activa not starting we called Service center guy he opened the petrol tank for few min and then try starting and it started when i ask for such behavior he doesn't have reason. Later same issue happen frequently and i did same thing but off late i observe that my activa is not at all starting even though i keep tank open. Something really wrong with Honda activa... Company needs to work on it as its loosing client confidence and faith. I have requested service station to fix the issue but he are not able to rectify the root cause.

This is regarding the Honda Scooter Starting Problem.

I have purchased a Honda Activa 3G from Ananda Honda, Hosa Road Showroom in Bangalore on Feb - 2016

Problem Statement:
When I am trying to start my scooter Honda Activa 3G, either way by kick or self it is not working. The start requires minimum 10-15 kicks even with or without choke;
1. Morning (COLD Hours) : I am facing the starting problem, during morning hours (while going to office)
2, During daytime (HOT Condition), it will not self start, if the vehicle is not used more than 4-5 hrs (say while returning from office)
Worst Part of Problem :
3. AT TRAFFIC JUNCTIONS (Engine Hot Condition) : It is not switching on (self start), if you switch off the scooter at TRAFFIC JUNCTIONS. This problem is intermittent, that means 2 to 3 times (out of 10 traffic signals, if you switch off your vehicle).
4. Rainy Season (Engine Hot Condition) :If you are riding the vehicle in rainy season, if you switch off at traffic signals, it may not switch on at traffic signals. Again this problem is intermittent, But frequency is higher compared to 3rd point above (that means without rain)

I have given the vehicle for rectification of this issue at the Hosa Road service center 3 time Before, During and After First service.
But The problem still there.

Note:
a. I have checked this issue with my friends and relatives, almost everyone is having this issue irrespctive of whether it is ACTIVA 3G/ 125/ DIO.
b. I am having another 2 more vehicles, Tvs Scooty Pep+ and Pulsar 180 Dtsi in Bangalore . Even though old vehicle, i am not facing any of these issues with them (as the self start is seamless).

So requesting your help to resolve this problem.

Hello everyone, my comment is regarding my new Honda Activa 3g which i purchased in May 2016. From day 2-3 after purchase whenever i start my bike by self it refuses to start and this is really pissing me off, then i have to put it on choke and then give 10-12 kicks and after that only it starts.
No one would expect this kind of problem in an 3 days old honda activa.

3 days old activa 3g . I self started it but it failed to start . Please help me !!

As everybody mentioned I am also facing same problem, my new honda activa 3G is giving starting problem during morning hours. I kept the vehicle in showroom nearly one month for rectification still problem is not solved.

Honda customre care should reply on above complaints... I have honda active 2013 model and i am facing the same problem.

How government approved such product into market??!!! Name is Honda.. but actual it is ZERO... It is really painful, even my active have same problem.. informed in service center more than 5 times.. giving temp soultions... So no words... so This activa is sleeping at my home, am going office by bus.
