[Resolved]  Honda CBF Stunner — Manufacturing Defect.

Address:Thane, Maharashtra

Respected Sir,
I, Tyson Pacheco from Thane (W), Mumbai have recently purchased a New HONDA CBF STUNNER 125cc from VIHAAN HONDA, MANPADA, THANE(w), G.B ROAD on 09/05/2011.
The bike was delivered to me on 14th May 2011 with FRAME NO. ME4JC40 CCB8049100. & ENGINE NO. JC40E 5060986 & REGISTRATION NO - MH-O4-FE 1618.
It’s been less than two months since I’ve got my bike and the bike has completed its first servicing. But to my utter disappointment there have been numerous problems, of which this is the MOST IMPORTANT as the REAR SUSPENSION is not ALIGNED, i.e the Left suspension is lower than the Right Suspension on the CHASSIS of the bike. Because of this the bike’s weight is more towards to the left, and has been a risk to my and the pillion riders life(My Mother), because on several occasions i have skidded due to the same problem.
I’ve Approached VIHAAN HONDA SERVICE CENTER, SHOP NO. C2/4, KOTHARI COMPOUND, 27 ACRE, NEAR D’MART, MANPADA, THANE (W) and have spoken to the HEAD SERVICE MANAGER, Mr. Ganesh and have told him the same and received the JOB SHEET NO. 011362. Even after waiting for more than 5hrs there was no solution and I have to wait for an entire day until tomorrow for the problem to be solved. Mr. Suresh from VIHAAN HONDA SERVICE CENTER explained to me that the Rear part of the CHASSIS is BENT and thus the miss-alignment.
Therefore, a derivation is made that since Day1 of my purchase of my bike it had a Manufacturing Defect, which is not only a problem but also a SERIOUS THREAT TO MY LIFE.
How am I to ride a bike such as this if it was manufactured dis-functionally ??
On calling the HONDA HEAD OFFICE AND FACTORY, HARYANA and speaking to Mr. Jat Paresh Lathwaal there is no progress in this matter. Ive even called the HONDA REGIONAL OFFICE, PUNE and have spoken to Mr. Ravi Kumar with no avail even after making all phone calls and sending them emails about the same.
There’s an apparent problem with the bike chassis and it’s a ‘Manufacturing Defect’ and I do not want any PATCH WORK or DIS-FUNCTIONAL REPAIRING done on my bike and want a NEW REPLACEMENT.
If this request is not taken into consideration then the only alternative is to take your HONDA company to the Consumer Court and sue you for all the trouble and life threatening position me and my mother have been put through.

Urging You,
Tyson Pacheco.

P.S – Other Problems with the bike are:-
Gear’s Slipping while ridding i.e 4th and 5th Gear, Indicator and High/ Low Beam switch Problems, Bike RUSTING on the Silencer Guard and near foot rests on both sides.
