[Resolved]  Honda Unicorn — Pick up decreased

dis bike is damn good 4 ridin in city as well as on highway...
it depends upon d rider i have taken my uni in 2009 nd it hits 110 on highway easily ...
as far as vibrations are concerned a city has topspeed of 100 above dat its obvious to hear vibration..dont mistake it 4 a sport bike ...d sound is wen u rev d bike above 7000rpm...

I am also facing the same problems, pick up reduced and Vibration exactly at 60kmph???????????????????????

And any waranty to the spare parts pls sir

I bought Honda Unicorn. I think, i did major mistake. My all free servicing has gone over but still i have problem in engine. It emits sound like PAK-PAK initially. My second problem is regarding its pickup. It won't go more that 90 kmph. But 125 CC bike touches 100 kmph. I have never seen my bike on speed more than 100 kmph. Its my suggestion to new bikers plz don't purchase that stupid bike.Even from service center You will never get good response. Next you have to decide.

My Name is Nilesh Panchal & I bought Honda Unicorn in 2007. I think, i did major mistake. My all free servicing has gone over but still i have problem is regarding its pickup. It won't go more that 90 - 95 kmph. I have never seen my bike on speed more than 100 kmph.

I also purchased the vehicle in 2006 and have done 20000kms. The bike starts vibrating badly above 60 kmph and it wont cross 90kmph even in steep slopes. When I rev my vehicle in neutre the RPM does not go beyond 6500. At that RPM the vehicle stats emitting smoke.

I have serviced my vehicle regularly and had complained about it on every service during warranty period. They said that the engine valve tappet clearance is the cause of the issue and have corrected it. The noise disppears, the engines revs higher without any problem, but the problem reoccurs after driving just 100kms after the service.


Please help...

I bought honda unicorn in 2010 when speed crosses limit 60 kmph handle will shake rapidley.i dont know why this problem occuring they said tyre problem i changed the tyre with warentty, again the problem repeat.
pplease give solution for this problem

this is pramod from hyderabad, i purchased honda unicon in 2009 feb, dealer name was autofin attapur, from day one i am facing problem, at the time of delivery when i start the bike it was automatic stopped, i told to sales manager he said after first service this problem will go, i complant regarding this in first servicing, as well as pick is very low & compare to this 100cc bikes pick-up is good, when engine was cool after first servicing the same problem, second service also i given in pratul somajiguda, the problem they not rectifind, pick-up low millege starting 52k it is giving after servicing the millege is gone down to 48, in forth service clutch plate and chain pack they replaced, but 10 days pick was good but when i was going in mountain view roads the pick up was again gone down. i told to service people they loose the walls and they given back, but problem was not rectified. my suggession for company improve pick-up in unicorn bike and chain problem frequently chain sound is comming, i did mistake to buy unicorn, and one more suggession is for buyyers pls test drive the bike once before purchase.

Yes its true! that Honda Service is too bad in india, they don't even understand the problems.
My Unicorn is OK, only Clutch gearshift problem, cold start problem, some aerodynamics problem at high speed.

I do service myself. so its good.

We all belong to one community Unicorn betrayed community, I bought my bike in 2012 may27. From that day onwards i am facing starting and low pickup problem everyday i have to spend 10 to 15min to start my bike. When i asked the showroom people they said like winter is nearing so due to cool weather you will face such issue, Now Summer went rainy went and again Rainy has come. Warranty has elapsed which they said for 1 year. Now none of them are responding and they are suggesting me its good for your health, like an exercise you are starting your bike every morning. What should i say to these crap ediots. At the end it seems like operation success patient dead.


Unicorn is the worst bike of all. Earlier i was a very big fan o[censored]nicorn but now its my humble request. Please don't buy Unicorn for god sake.
