[Resolved]  Honda Unicorn Dazzler — Defective bike , Poor service from service provider

My name is Hoshang R Irani I booked a Unicorn Dazzler on 27/07/10 and did a full down payment on the same day and asked to deliver the bike on 30/07/10 which Mr Jitendra Patil agreed to as he was the salesmen I dealt with. On the day when I had to get my bike there was a bit of confusion, However, I did get the bike on the requested date.

The time I took it out of the showroom there was a major Gear Shifting problem, the bike would not go from 2nd to 3rd, 4th and 5th, so I took the bike to the service centre in Saifi lane, I met Peter there who said that they will need to check the bike for any faults which I agreed to but he didn’t take the bike at that moment, and asked me to get the bike on Monday. I went to the showroom on Monday and met Mr Patil who referred me to some else who took my bike for a round and said there is a Gear Shifting problem, at that moment I he got a requisition signed and asked me to go to the service centre, I went to the service centre and displayed the signed requisition at the counter and the person there ( no name ) he said to get the bike the following day, I handed the bike to the service centre on Wednesday to a mechanic who was very rude and acted like he was doing a favor to me, anyways I walked off from there and was informed I will get the bike in the evening. I called them they said they are waiting on some part for the engine and will get this sorted and I will have the bike Thursday morning.

Today morning when I called the service centre and spoke to Nain who said call after 15-20 mins which I did after which he asked some one in the back ground said Mr Irani has called for his bike, from what I could hear they were not happy with my calling the service centre for my bike. I went to the showroom and relayed my message of not getting proper service, There one of the supervisor asked his counter part to call the service centre and ask them for an update and they asked me to collect the bike in the evening. I called the service centre in the evening at 5 pm and again spoke with Nain who said call back in 15-20 mins which I did and then he said the bike engine is Faulty and need to change the Gear Rod. I still do not have my bike. I informed him I will not take a faulty bike and will ask for a replacement, he asked me to call the showroom on calling the showroom and talking to Mr Patil he said to ask his manager and talk to him.

On the second day of my bike purchase I had found that the fering on the bike are fixed in a wrong manner, one which had a color problem was fit properly and the other fering which was not faulty was fixed and looks very auckward, On informing the show room sales person they said get the bike and we will replace both the ferings for you. On taking my bike to and fro to show room for a week. On requesting Mr Umesh last week he asked me to get the bike on Tuesday and will be replaced on askin Mr Prasad how long would it take to do up the fering he said 2 hours. On taking my bike on Tuesday I was informed that I will get the bike in the evening. I had repeatdly said I work in Night shifts and is not convenient for me to finish my night shift and stay awake the whole day on saying that the response was ignorance. I have never felt so disgraced, My thoughts were Honda company being said would have a set training plan for their sales reps, not ignoring or telling the customer you are wrong. I have not bought a bike to tauture myself ( Please be very clear ). I was suppose to receive a call from the showroon/centre on the 18th, today is 21st morning still not received a call.

Wanted to keep you'll aware reading the above comment added by Me ( Hoshang Irani ) I purchased the bike from BU Bhandari opp Poona club located in Camp. They are thieves in clean clothes and dirty mind with a corrupt sould. Their Karma should hit them soon.
very sorry to hear your condition. They are spoiling the name Honda with a huge disgrace. I too had few problems with my Dazzler.They are still not rectified after several visits to the showroom.

I would like to suggest you one thing, go to www.honda2wheelersindia.com and register a complaint against the Honda Showroom and behavior of the personnel over there. Before no one took care of my bike and me after my complaint they did. I had an immediate call back to me on the next working day. After that service manager took special care of me and my bike. Most of the problems in my bike was rectified with utmost care by the senior mechanic over there. Moreover i was offered a free seat cover by the manager over there.

i suggest you to do the same. Hope you to get the same response.

Attitude of Honda dealers towards their customers is very arrogant.They are behaving as if they were government officers.service people and dealers are spoiling the great name of HONDA.I have a red DAzzler .1 month ago i had some mileage problem and i registerd the complaint in their above mentiond site.Next day they called me .Hope ur problem will be solvd soon

I am also facing same gear shifting problem. And my steering is also become hard on very first day when i purchase byk. When i take dazzler from showroom on 2-sep-10 everything is fine till first 7 km. After that steering getting harder and harder and moving gear from 2nd to 3rd and 4th is very difficult. I am going to showroom on 6-sep monday.

ya i agree with u one thing my 1st gear 2 neutral makes too much time
onda launched dazzler to compete with fz16 in style and Gs150r in performance. GS150r has an engine with higher rpm range than old unicorn. So, honda just altered unicorn engine to achieve high rpm. So, now in dazzler high-rpm engine, the peak power and torque come at higher rpm than older unicorn engine. Such alterations will always cause problem, as the original unicorn engine was not designed for such high rpm. Gs150r engine was originally designed for high rpm, so no prob there. But honda, instead of designing new high-rpm engine, just altered old unicorn engine to achieve high rpm, which obviously has not matched properly with the gears. Honda charge extra for everything. Even number plate cost is extra. Honda make so much money in India, why cant they design a new 150cc engine instead o[censored]sing same old unicorn engine? Most stingy company; they just exploit their brand name. Honda only want to make profit with less investment in new technology.

I purchased Dazzler, 'M facing the Gear problem. Many times the Gear box is jammed, unable to change from 3 up or 3 down. after some distance and doing lot of circus back to normal. It happened many time. Even the mileage is very less. Its cmg around 40km/l.
I purchased A Honda Dazzler on 29th June 2010 and now its showing severe problem in its battery. The battery is of poor condition. I had charged the battery for 3 times and again showing the same problem. I also contacted the concerned executive to get my battery replaced but they are not taking my problem in a serious matter. They are telling me to adjust with the problem. Is this is the reputation of Honda?
Yes I Agree that after sale service of honda is poorest in auto sector. When I taken my bike after 3rd sevvice i noticed that engine oil is leakage on my way to home. I return to show room again to fix the problem and found that the service person had overtightend the nut and cause of it the the oil chamber get cracked. now they had opend the engine and telling me that it is manufacturing defect. how sily they are not admiting their fault the bike is only two month used
its arround 2 month i met an accident.. and need some parts to be replaced of my bike DAZZLER...but in honda showroom they r saying they got no parts...they give many reason wt should i do... is this HONDA?????
I purchased A Honda Dazzler on 20th Jan 2011 without front guard.i paid the amount to showroom at Tanuku pavan honda.still today they are not providind front guard. i face much difficulties to drive without front guard.i met show room owners every two days they are telling it comes in 2 or 4days.this is very bad. They are telling me to adjust with the problem. Is this is the reputation of Honda?

Unfortunately my honda unicorn bike vicer full set was broken.So I have orderd a vicer full set to replace.But there is no proper response from honda sgj bikes private limited, kovilpatti-628 501,tamil nadu.My job card number is 638. I bought honda unicorn dazzler bike in 2011 february. I have problem with rear brake pads and also some problem with chains. Spare parts are not available in any os the honda showroom in bangalore. I am looking for spare parts since two months.

I purchased dazzler in sept 2010, I don't have any major problem with the vehicle,
But as somebody mentioned above they are having the problem starring,
It gets tight after riding for 4 to 5 kms, even am also facing the same
problem, I changed my starring cone/ cup/ bearings, but it's of no use,
Excluding that everything is excellent …
