Dear Sir,
This is to inform you that I am a student of Mechanical Engineering and studying at Shram Sadhna College of Engineering & Technology, Bhambori, Jalgoon, Maharashtra. I could not afford your product being a lower middle class family but I have to procure it, as per rules and regulation of college (if not I could not get admission). It was allotted on 3 Number 2007 @ Rs 38000/-
On 15th Feb 09, I was working on notebook with battery mode, after 1.5 Hour message flickered on screen showing low Battery. I have to charge the battery, so to charge the battery I had inserted plug of charger and “Switched on” power, Immediately laptop screen visuals was blank (disappear). i.e. it was not working. I realize that some problem has occurred to laptop and I kept it as it is.
Then I have contacted to the HP customer care on toll free no: -[protected] and informed about the matter as stated above. As per instruction of service center I went to Xcort Micro System Ahmedabad on 24th Feb.2009 for detail diagnosis. Details of visit at Xcort Micro System Ahmedabad are as under.
Visited at 12:30 pm date:[protected].
1. Filled up information pertaining to customer in service call report.
2. Laptop was handed over to service center technician and informed him full details about how & when it was failed to working.
3. Service center technician had with draw charger pin from Compaq laptop and inserted it to HP notebook to check the problem fan was started then immediately “burning issue” occurred. I instructed to technician to switch off power.
4. Burning issue was not occurred at the time of notebook failure on date: - 15 Feb. 2009 at my residence.
5. Technician then asked me to keep notebook at service center to check it thoroughly and will inform according after submitting my notebook at service center.
6. Feed back information was not provided till 4 days.
7. Then I contacted to service center after 4 days. Madam (Xcort Micro system) informed that service engineer is on leave. When ever service engineer will resume his duty, we will inform you. Even though I did not get any information from service center (5 days passed).
8. After 5 days I again phoned to service center and Madam (Xcort Micro system) informed that your notebook’s motherboard & processor are under warranty period and we will replace it.
9. After 15 days again I phoned to service center and Madam (Xcort Micro system) informed that your notebook’s motherboard & processor are not under warranty and repairing cost would be around Rs. 35000/- We (service center) have dispatched quotation already to you. I have not received quotation till today.
In this context I would like to bring your kind attention that
1. Service center are not providing proper information to the customer.
2. Burning issue caused at service center. In presence of my self and I have instructed to technician to switch off the power.
3. Once informed by madam that your notebook's processor & motherboard are under warranty period and same has been denied after 15 days. It is erroneous.
4. I have availed notebook @ 38000/- (approx) and service center quoted orally Rs. 35000/- (approx) for repairing. This is ridiculous. How is it possible?
5. Repairing cost quoted Rs. 35000/- (approx) is not affordable to me being a lower middle class family. I have procured notebook from my father’s hard earned money. This is true fact.
6. Regarding the repairing of my notebook please investigate the problem thoroughly of service center through your skilled engineer Please.

Looking to the matter. Sir, I request you to replace or repair my notebook at free off cost and be obliged.

Compaq laptop — display disappearing intermittently

we had purchased compaq laptop c786tu on 12th july, 2008 and within a few days the display suddenly started disappearing intermittently even though the key board and the cpu indicators used to remain on. same was shown to the dealer who first adjusted the screen/power saver timings and when that did not solve the problem they reformatted the harddisk and reloaded windows vista os. the problem persisted and the set was sent to the service station. they returned the set after 3 days saying that the problem was solved, however when i went to the dealer to collect the laptop i found that the problem was still present. the set was sent for the second time to the service centre and after keeping the same for almost a month, i got conflicting replies fm various personnel at the service centre. the operator after checking the token no. indicated that some spares were awaited and i will have to wait for same, whereas the technician told me that there was some misunderstanding and the set was ready for many days. the dealer collected the set and when we tried out we found that the wifi switch was not functional, this was brought to the notice of the service centre and the laptop was sent for the third time to them. after 2 days i was told that the wifi was made operational and i could collect the laptop. i visited the service centre and found that the switch was still not working and wifi could be accessed only through the software. they opened up the set once more and after a day told me that the problem was caused by virus in the computer and they had reloaded the os and set was now functional. i requested them to let me have the repair history for the three times that the set was sent to the service centre but they are avoiding giving me the same. they have extended the warranty by one month and i was told that now the set would work without problem and why was i interested in the service record. after taking up the issue with various other personnel of hp i have been told today i.e. 31st oct., 2008 that they are unable to access the repair history because of some practical problems and i should collect the laptop from the dealer and they would "try" to access the repair history on monday i.e. 3rd nov., 2008.

i have already lodged a complaint thru hp site, but am yet to hear from them. my complaint no. is CCHSAP171218.

HP / Laptop HP 530 — Delay of services

From last one month i diposite my laptop at HP service centre (Elite Business Machine (p) Ltd. Noida to replace display penal of laptop.After call them several time there is no any positive responce from service centre .Now after one month as per them part is not avialble in india & may be it will take one month more to rectify the problem .Display penal is allmost same for all laptops i didn't understand how this thing is not in the company stock . this is second time for bad experience with HP .This time I am plan to go to consumer court for this poor services.
Ya its really true. HP is providing worst service i have ever seen. My system is given for service due to mother board problem at Cochin. it almost now two months now. Each time they are saying that, the replacing parts is not available. While other companies like DELL providing very good service especially they are providing on-site servicemens.
I am also planning to complaint in consumer court . they are making consumer like us as fools. this cannot be tolerated...
i have a 1 big problem .
i had buy 1 hp laptop they sad me that they give me 1 gift . the gift is kodak digital cam .
but they not give me that .

HP laptop (HP 530) — Battery and Display not working

I have purchased a loptop above said model but within a year the battery is not standing for 8 minutes. within a year the dispaly also is not working.

Kindly help me......
