[Resolved] HSBC Credit Card — Serious Concern:--- I didn't make any transaction,but I am getting outstanding bill amount to be paid.

I got a credit card from HSBC, after that i tried paying at a shopping mall, but the card dint work. It said transcation couldnt be processed due to invalid Card. After that i never used that card. Now they have generated a bill amounting to 5600/- and they want me to pay the same. Got a call from their legal deptt saying that the bank is ready to settle it by accepting its fault and paying 50% of that amount. The question is "Why do i pay for something which i dint use, and over that the mental harassment by these billing statements and inconvenience caused as the CARD did not work when i needed it" Any idea how can i deal with this situation. i paid pending amount fully on 18th of aug.2009 by confirmation from customer care..but suddenly hsbc people made sms to mobile as rs 14881/- pending. then called to customer care and asked for any misused and blocking of card. but i want to solve this problem asking help to file a case.i want information first about pending statements. call me hyderabad [protected]
