Consumer finance loan account

I have settled my consumer loan account
[protected] through a cheque on 30th june 2020. They told me that it will get a "settled" status in cibil. They also sent me a settlement offer letter dated on june 14th. But after the amount get cleared the balance amount is reflecting in cibil as balance amount. When i contacted the customer care they are asking to call another toll free number and vice versa. Charged even when CC is closed

Hello,

I have closed my credit card with HSBC in 2005

I cut the card in 4 pieces, dropped it in box in Annanagar, Chennai after which I called the call center and informed.
I had nil balance at that time.

I am writing to report a fraudulent transaction on my HSBC credit card that occurred due to misleading communication from the bank during the payment process.
I attempted to make a payment of ₹25 on a website I believed to be Indian. However, I was charged ₹25, 000 instead. The OTP sent by HSBC during the transaction showed “IDR” as the currency, which was unclear to me at the time. I assumed it was an internal code due to the technical nature of the message, and there was no explicit indication that this was an international transaction.
I reached out to HSBC’s customer service within 2 minutes of the transaction to dispute the charge, but the grievance team denied my refund, claiming the OTP was sufficient authorization. This is deeply concerning for the following reasons:
Misleading Communication: The OTP did not provide clear information that this was an international payment in a foreign currency.
Failure to Safeguard Against Fraud: HSBC did not notify me that I was making an international payment, nor did they offer adequate protection against a fraudulent website.
Cyber Fraud Risk: The website I used was later identified as a scam, posing as a national organization. HSBC should have stronger fraud detection and prevention mechanisms in place.
I have escalated this issue to the RBI Ombudsman, but I am extremely disappointed by HSBC’s response. As a customer, I expect the bank to take greater responsibility in preventing fraud, especially with rising cases of cybercrime.
Resolution Requested:
I request that HSBC:
Refund the ₹25, 000, as the transaction was unauthorized due to misleading communication.
Revise their OTP and transaction notification process to clearly distinguish between domestic and international payments.
Strengthen their fraud detection mechanisms to prevent customers from unknowingly engaging with fraudulent websites.
Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation [HSBC] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

    I have a running personal loan with HSBC India, which I had taken 3-4 years back and have been paying my EMIs regularly.

    Now, I want to make some part payment towards that loan based on whatever maximum is allowed as per loan agreement.

    I have raised multiple request to bank to provide me a Part payment option for the loan but have not got any response. Also, I have tried calling them but have not got any response.

    I understand this sounds more of a customer care issue, but I have been raising request to them since last one month and have got no positive response. Because of all this I will have to pay additional interest for one month which I wouldn't have if they had provided a part payment option to me on time.

    As of today also, I have not got any response from HSBC about how much part payment I am eligible to make and how to make.

    My personal loan account number with HSBC is[protected].

    It feels like cheated if because of banks delay someone has to pay interest for that period.

        HSBC which is known as one of the leading bank in the world have no policies and ethics as they randomly reject application without any reason and they don't have any proper mode of communication in India. We can't mail them as they don't have any mail id to communicate and whenever we try to contact their customer care they don't have sufficient knowledge regarding rejection. I have applied their credit card 3 times in. 2020, 2021, 2023 and all the time they rejected my application without any reason instead I have given 3 month my salary slip, bank statement, house address, office address and at the time of applying credit card. My cibil was 781.This is completely fraud going on as I think they takes your data and straightaway rejected your application and give card to only few people. I just want the reason as this is my final time Iam applying this worst bank credit card and recommend everyone not to take this card.
